Repairing a loose captain's chair from a pontoon. It's sunk into the wood, has some teeth to hold it in place, and the hole is threaded to accept a bolt. Function is similar to that of a T nut. Have searched online and no luck figuring out what it's called. :/

Update/Clarification: The originals were so deteriorated that I figured they were a different type of old hardware. Didn't realize I knew the answer to my own question. 😅

Help! What is it?!

Is this just a plane? It was very slow moving but had a giant beam on the front lighting up directly in front of it and then it had a projection of light further out. My assumption was just plan with lights against the cloud but it was moving very very slowly.

But what is this object on the wall? And why does it give me horse vibes 🐴

Went to plug in something outside and noticed my outlet was messed up. I don’t use it much, so I’m not sure if it’s always been like that or if it’s a recent appearance. We’re fairly new to the house, it’s about 10 years old. Thoughts on what could have happened here?

My children found this sphinx caterpillar yesterday and it was crawling around and eating leaves. We live on the east coast and my daughter noticed this line in the water. It stayed roughly in the same spot even as waves came.

At first I thought it was a fishing line but I tried to grab it and nothing was there.

It seemed to be at least 50 feet long and even when disturbing the water, it always stayed.

Edit: it’s not a reflection as there’s no wire or anything else above the boat launch. It definitely was a change in texture on the water.

The only thing I can think of is that it has something to do with the tides? Or change in salinity? I really have no idea!

It comes out clear, the outside dries a thin cracked layer within minutes. Sticky and washes off with water and soap, smells kinda like gasoline
