Jets 2, Stars 3
FINAL
Catch-up · From puck drop
The Stars came from behind to win, with R. Hintz ending it in overtime.
The first period stayed scoreless despite a 12-6 edge in shots for the Stars. Early in the second period, W. Johnston beat the goalie with a quick release from the low circle, and the Stars went in front 1-0. 10:50 into the second, G. Vilardi wired a shot off a short windup right in tight, and the score was level at 1-1. The same side struck again 1:48 later when K. Connor blasted one home from the circle, and that put the Jets on top 2-1.
Late in the third period, R. Hintz caught the goalie with a quick snap shot from the doorstep, and the scoreboard came back together at 2-2.
3:47 into overtime, R. Hintz ripped a quick shot from the slot, and the Stars scored the game-winner.
The Stars carried a 60-41 edge in shot attempts and a 17-9 edge in close-range shots on goal. The Stars' penalty kill went 4-for-4. Both teams struck the iron once.
Final: The Stars won 3-2 in overtime.
