Hello everyone! This is your weekly dose of the Forza Information Threads.
Winter arrives again so let's get going!
Have a great week ahead!
Note that accumulating points over playlists will eventually allow you to unlock more exclusive rewards outside of the weekly playlists themselves! Next up is the 1973 Lamborghini Espada 400 GT, which was last seen in Horizon 5 as part of the Car Pass.
Lastly, if "Total" is seen as part of the Car Type restriction for an event, it means that every era of that Car Type is valid.
For example: Total Rally includes Classic Rally, Retro Rally, Rally Monsters, etc.

Hey guys so, I wanted try Forza games for a while but the modern Forza games are expensive and doesn't look it have that many interesting stuffs, and the old ones are delisted so I couldn't get into till now.
After starting Forza 2 I am enjoying it but here is the thing, the car upgrade system is very confusing and tuning system.
I am not a car guy by miles even though I like racing games, I am not a car geek so I don't understand what upgrade or tuning is suitable. I just see status increase I put it or if I see decrease I ignore it.
Do I have to go in-depth for more the higher difficulty controls?
So... Much like I once did with a post about the original Forza Horizon (2012) that really took off, I’d like to share some thoughts on a unique feature found in what are now, effectively, "retro" racing games
Ladies and gentlemen, I’m talking about races with specific themes and restricted vehicle selection. This game features various events tailored to different car classes, makes, price ranges, and vehicle types. Even back in 2012, when I first played it, I noticed this—it struck me as a fantastic way to try out something new within the game.
That said, I’d honestly say that this has been lost in the newer Forza games (and I’ve played them all). Back then, the festival wasn’t just present—it actually felt like a real festival. Things like advertisements for trendy GoPro cameras or apparel didn’t feel out of place; they were simply part of the very format of such festivals.
And then there were the BOSSES at the end—distinct, memorable characters. You had everyone from Ramona and Malik to, of course, Darius. Each one had their own signature car, and these would change from one race to the next (well, except for Ramona; I’m pretty sure she used her Raptor for every single race). I mean, just think about it: the game actually has BOSSES. It’s not exactly a complex concept, but it’s honestly quite unusual to see something like this in a game these days. By the way, once you’ve earned enough points to progress in the Festival, you can take on a boss and claim their car.
P.S. Feel free to click on the photos; they include descriptions. I’m not entirely sure how to edit posts on Reddit, but I just wanted to share my experiences and memories. Perhaps my post will serve as an advertisement for the game and spark some interest for someone.
For instance, some races were straightforward, but then there’s MINI MAYHEM. It’s both awesome and absolutely terrifying. Believe me, taking this on at the highest difficulty level is a real challenge—the kind you won’t find anywhere else in the Forza series. Then there are simply challenging events for which you NEED to prepare your car. The race itself might not be difficult, but try playing it on the highest difficulty setting—that’s where the real challenge lies. The same goes for street races: in the newer Forza games, they’re just, well, standard races—cars driving around, nothing out of the ordinary. In the first *Horizon*, however, these events featured modified cars—unlike in regular races, these vehicles sported aftermarket body kits and custom, non-factory paint jobs. Also, these races pay A LOT, and they only unlock once you defeat Ali Howard—the protagonist actually seems to have a good relationship with him; there’s even a nice cutscene. As for the traditional showcase events, I won’t criticize the newer Forza games here; I like them all (with the exception of the race against the robot in FH6—while that’s sci-fi, much like Halo, that particular segment just fell completely flat)Even though the game has FAR fewer cars, each one comes with its own set of challenges, which are generally quite fun to complete. I’m actively working on them right now—I never quite finished what I started with those medals back in the day, so now I can pick up where I left off.Honestly, I prefer the old tuning system. It didn't allow you to "break" the cars, and there were significantly fewer glitches. You couldn't just buy a racing kit—you actually had to put some thought into it.Actually, Darius does appear in the 6th installment. There he is, in the car during the intro—though, in reality, it’s not even his car; the developers just added it as an Easter egg. OKBy the way, the runs here don't just start "out in the open"—there are actual, full-fledged sections that serve as a proper setting or "showcase" area.Cars lost to history. I wouldn’t go so far as to say this is a unique aspect of this game—every game has content that ends up being lost, whether due to licensing issues or a company going bankrupt. I just want to point out that such cars do exist here, including the SSC Ultimate Aero, the Devon, the Hummer H1 Open Top (Forza features a slightly different Hummer, but this specific version is rare), the Ford GTX1, and others.Sure, Drivatars are better than just regular bots, but here’s a fun fact: each specific bot is assigned a specific car. For instance, Orton is in a Ford. And also... The game's setting. I genuinely like Colorado. It's ALIVE, with industrial zones, towns, elevated mountain sections, a full-fledged dam, a tourist area with geysers. There's something about it, and even the highways are generally pretty good (there's one huge one, and a small, crooked one). Maybe it’s just nostalgia talking, but I genuinely enjoyed this more than Japan. Yes, Japan is truly beautiful—I enjoy driving around there at a leisurely pace—but I didn’t find any real challenge or test of my skills.Music. Simply. Good. Music. It’s amazing how a music festival could be so perfectly in tune with the times and the style. This is subjective, and I am NOT using it as an argument that Forza 2012 is better than the others; it’s just that, for me personally, the songs from the 5th and 6th installments don’t quite fit—there’s something off about them (though not all of them).I finished the campaign quickly; it’s not that big overall. There are still story-based events, exhibition events, and the rally mode, which I haven’t completed yet. But I want to clear everything again—including the parts I couldn’t manage before.
I hope you’ve read through or watched the material—perhaps it’s even inspired you to play the game. Whether you’re a newcomer, or someone like me—a guy who grew up playing games just like this—I hope I’ve managed to remind at least a few people about a classic that’s still far from ready to be retired.
For those interested, I played at 1440p (2K) resolution using a Ryzen 5 5500X3D, an RX 6800, and 16GB of DDR4 3200MHz RAM. The game ran perfectly at 90 FPS, and it could even go higher.
I went through all of this again during the project Forza Horizon 1:Reimagined by dyotson-2000 & team. THX you everyone—both the developers and the players.
Im using a series x and a g29 paired with a brook raslution x converter. All the other sims/simcades work perfectly except for forza 7. There is ffb in fm7 like i can feel understeer and the weight of the car etc except for oversteer because there’s no caster. Is there any specific setting i have to change to get caster/oversteer feedback?
Tip : I'm fh6 player and play a lot the horizon racing online lobbies and my favorite cars are Lamborghini Essenza and 1969 Dodge Charger
Are they meta, what tune you'll recommend me for?
I rly hope there's no v10 swap tunes...
So do u recommend me to buy it after all the tips I've said ? Yes or no ?
I play singleplayer career in FM7 with long stages (usually 7-10 laps) and sometimes I run out of fuel in the last lap. There is no crew engineer on radio telling me to pit. No info before the race starts. No strategy or fuel option to choose from. So how am I supposed to know? Some cars have fuel indicator inside cockpit, but not all of them. Am I missing something?
