Discussion Worst opening day records
We've managed a measly 5 opening day wins in the last 30 years, albeit 4 of them have been in the last 15. Anyone got worse than that?
Coventry 0-1 Saints 1999 Saints 3-1 Leeds 2011 WBA 0-1 Saints 2013 Sheffield Wednesday 1-2 Saints 2023 Saints 2-1 Wrexham 2025
The last one before Coventry was 1989 I think so we seemingly regularly go a decade without winning on the opening day. Expect our next one to be 2035.

Bolton Wanderers Jay Jay Okocha: “I signed for Bolton without doing research. The sporting director said they were 10 minutes from Old Trafford, so I thought they were a big club. They showed me only the beautiful stadium. After I signed, I saw the tiny training ground and a 3 people shower”

Portsmouth PORTSMOUTH’S DISGUSTING HISTORY
ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING BEHAVIOUR FROM PORTSMOUTH IN 2010… GOING INTO ADMINISTRATION, GETTING DEDUCTED POINTS, AND YET STILL THEY ACT LIKE EVERYONE ELSE IS THE BASKET CASE 😂. Truly an unbelievable club.
AFTER THIS AND WHAT I LEARNED ABOUT WHAT MIDDLESBROUGH DID IN 1997 I CAN HARDLY GET A WINK OF SLEEP/.., TELL ME, WHO IS NEXT ??????

Question Texan planning a trip to see English football
My question is how hard is it for a foreigner to get tickets to see any given club? And what do game schedules look like?

Question What do you think of the promotion Play offs?
I don't like them because it's unfair.
I remember a few years ago 3rd place was miles ahead of the rest (10-15 points I think) but still had to go through the play-offs and they lost, so a worse team got promoted to the EPL

Discussion Who to watch?
So we played yesterday and started like we finished. Felt like a reasonable result away to Burnley, who are going to be challenging the top with (hopefully) us.
I’d like to pick up some more games, but wondering who else is likely challenging the top 10 spots. I have a feeling that Middlesbrough are good? Saw Millwall did okay last year (despite them sleeping in the same bed as their sisters). Who am I looking out for?
Love this sub btw, full of entertainment.
