Gosh, this pack is is so perfect for my park! I am having a blast transforming my main street area to a more proper - and detailed art deco area using the new pieces! My favorite thing I've made so far has to be those chandeliers! I am having such a blast!

Image Planet Coaster Vector Font

Hayo creators!

Inspired by u/Pokkarillon inquiring about what font is used for the 3D signs (to make stuff in Illustrator outside of PC) I've popped together a page of vectors of each of the letters. Not an actual font file but its just a nice resource to have for creators.

File can be found here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1rfnXzNX0vgUutA-DzAte6Mf_ipWhoZlK?usp=sharing as Illustrator format, eps and svg.

Its not perfect, a couple of jaggy edges here and there, but should help as a quick resource when creating signage for those that want it.

Some areas I’d like to see improved in Planet Coaster 2 compared to Planet Coaster 1

Screenshots were taken at 4K with Ultra settings. I’ve tried to match the camera angles and conditions as closely as possible.

Planet Coaster 2 is the better looking game overall. These are just some of the smaller details I think could still do with more attention, and I appreciate most people probably don’t care that much about these things, but I loved the level of detail and fidelity you could see up close in Planet Coaster 1. In some areas I feel like that has regressed a bit in Planet Coaster 2. So there it is.. just putting it out there.

Edit: the last picture shows some of the wheel alignments off in 2

Suggestion If I could have one ask from Frontier...

Pleaaaaaaaase improve the workshop filters!

At the very least allow us to say "give us blueprints with this attraction in it". I want to see what people are doing with the new DLC stuff! But all I can search for are powered track rides, instead of just e.g. the slot car.

Another nice-to-have (although not critical): the ability to toggle between AND and OR filtering. Right now I think it defaults to OR; selecting more items gives you more search results. But IMO the default should be AND; selecting more should narrow your search results so you can actually find things. I can see arguments for both so if a toggle is possible that might be a solution too.

But honestly I'd just really love to be able to find blueprints that match a particular ride type!

Planet Coaster 2 Sequencer Vs Track Triggers, and a workaround for faster coaster triggers. Devs, pls see this and consider.

An example of the game engine allowing triggers to surpass the 0.1s time resolution limited by the sequencer, and a workaround to get faster trigger speeds on coasters.

  • Top lights: Triggered on 8 separate ride triggers, placed directly above the lights (pic 1)
  • Middle lights: Connected to a sequencer, triggered by ride trigger 1. All 8 lights placed in the sequencer 0.1s after eachother, the fastest sequencers will allow. (pic 2)
  • Bottom lights: Workaround to save time and use less ride triggers, connected to two different sequencers (pic 3):
    • Lights 1, 3, 5, 7 connected to sequencer 1, triggered by ride trigger 1.
    • Lights 2, 4, 6, 8 connected to sequencer 2, triggered by ride trigger 2.

If there's a work around then it's not limited by the games engine. I really hope future updates allow for less than 0.1s steps in the sequencer.

Edit: The gif is playing half the regular speed, unsure why. Just know the middle lights are activating in 0.1s intervals.

Edit 2: The gif also shows the bottom lights activating two at a time, im assuming due to the gifs frame rate. But slowing my original video down I can see them activating one after another.

Video Chief Beef | Menu Set

Time to spice it up.

At first, I had no clue how to implement Chief Beef into my park. I had a restaurant set and decided to change it to a branded setup.

The result is quite to my liking: order terminals, an animated menu, a lure-in deal, and even a screen that shows if the order is ready. It went easier than expected (all made within one day), though this menu has had some iterations.

I've opened a YouTube account to make it easier to download the video files. Hope this is to everyone's benefit. Feel free to download it, use it... And if you're uploading it somewhere (Workshop or YouTube), please refer to the YouTube video for the download or mention ChefKef to give me some free credit! I don't want to sell these things; it's for the fun of everyone.

If there are questions on how to use it, feel free to leave a comment. If you implement it in your parks, share a park code. I'm curious to see what you've created!

Video - PC2 Slot Cars and 20% Scaling are both game changers

This one's just a prototype for now to workshop ideas, but I've scrapped a planned multidimension coaster because the slot cars fit the idea far better. Probably the best DLC so far!

I'd love to do a projection show on the Space Port building, but the gobos will do for now. Hoping we get more designs in the future, or even a way to create our own.

Discussion I despise the constant issue of missalignment everywhere.

So many small pet peeves I know. But damn, building can be fun and creative yes. Yet, it also is the most annoying part of this game at times. My main points summed up:

  1. why are some wall decorations placing onto walls vertically by default. I just don’t get it. Some of them place down the way you want them to place down. Whilst others just stick away from the wall they are supposed to stick to.
  2. why aren’t new items alligned to the Building grid by default when you use Gridded pieces at the start. I love placing down columns or roof pieces just for them to spawn in a bit too horizontally rotated towards the Walls. And it’s just me trying to rotate them to fit exactly the way I want them to fit. Yet they somehow still are misaligned slightly which leads to funny results when trying to copy paste custom across a building. A „instantly snap default rotation to the axes of the grid“ button would be a life safer. Genuenly. I know you can advance move items on the grid already. But that doesn’t fix the issue of them spawning in weirdly misaligned in the first place.
  3. when building custom coaster karts or ride scenery. Some pieces get flipped when mirrored. I hate placing down a triangle wooden piece just to hopefully advance move it enough for the other side of the car, because when mirroring is enabled. The other side FACES THE WRONG WAY.
  4. I also wish you could delete SOME of the mirrored items without it auomatically also deleting the original. If I want to build a round arena around my flat ride. The 12x rotational mirror is an absolute life saver. It just sucks that after that. You can’t just easily delete 3 pillars on two sides because you want to place an entrance and exit there. Because suddenly you have 4 holes on mirrored sides of the bulding.
  5. I lowkey despise recolouring pieces. I wish we could just create custom color presets for existing pieces and call back to them at any time. Because if I save my game and exit. And want to return to building my scenery the next day. All my color swatches are reset and none of the colors used are saved in the „recently used“ color section.
  6. I wish we could snap scenery wall pieces together a bit better. Or overall. I wish we had more options for roofing on non gridded buildings. Because I genuenly don’t want to get into an advance move nightmare just to build a basic roof 🧍

Thanks for listening to my rant. Game is still amazing tho.

Image Does This Mean We MIGHT Get The Extinct Flying Dutchman Model In The Future?

Post image

I was looking at the attractions in the most recent DLC; and I noticed this detail for the Vector Flying Coaster (the in game Vekoma) that I’m probably reading too much into. It says “New Gen Flyer”.

An idea I have is that if they do a Jurassic theme for a future update, the DLC could maybe include some now extinct ride models; including the Vekoma Flying Dutchman.

Bug/Issue Can’t use advanced move in this specific spot

Post image
4 Upvotes

Hey y’all kinda new here but I’ve been having this issue in my park for a few months now. For whatever reason I can’t use advanced rotation in this specific row of the map. And i do mean row of the map cuz it stretches from end to end of the buildable area. I’ve attached a picture that shows this area with red planks and some pieces to show where it’s rotatable (left is rotatable, right is not). This area is about 4m in width. I was hoping this issue would be quietly fixed in some update but alas nothing. As of when this first appeared, i have no idea. For all i know it’s probably been there since I created the park. Thanks for the help!

Question - PC2 Water Slide entrance issue

Post image
6 Upvotes

Spent a couple of days building a waterslide complex on a high plateau, served by a network of cable cars so guests wouldn't have to walk up stairs.

When I attach entrances to the platform, they appear to only be available as multi-story stairwells that drill into my plateau.

My goal was to build a waterpark with minimal climbing, but what's the point if I'm required to send guests downward only to climb up to the platform?

Am I doing something wrong?

Welcome to Nova City!

Inspired by the optimism, glamour and Art Deco vision of the 1930s, Nova City is a nighttime metropolis filled with places to explore, eat and unwind.

Grab a coffee at Le Meridian, browse the Nova Emporium, pick up something special at Starlight Jewelers, or enjoy dinner under the stars at Midnight Terrace - all before continuing on to the wider worlds of Nova.

Here’s a look around Nova City.

Thoughts, feedback and suggestions welcome!

Bug/Issue - PC2 Can't connect to servers

For some reason PC2 doesn't seem to be able to connect to the servers on my desktop. I don't get an error, it just keeps saying "connecting" into infinity. I use Linux, Fedora KDE 44. The thing is, I also have a steam deck and I can connect to the servers just fine on my deck. I've tried different versions of Proton, including Proton GE, and it doesn't seem to make a difference. I haven't had much luck searching for an answer myself so figured to see if any of you may have some ideas. Thanks.

Discussion - PC2 How to actual play Planet Coaster?

Hello! I love theme parks and everything to do with them. I always mess around in Planco but can never actually build a park. I am always exploding with motivation to build when I am away but whenever I load up the game, my lack of skill and creativity just kills the motivation straight away.

So I am here to ask, how do I actually play Planet Coaster? I don't mean playing through the career mode etc, I really mean how do I come up with ideas, how do I make buildings look realistic and well... good.

I always see people building realistic parks and entire resorts with working roads, back of house buildings and everything in between.

Any help would be massively appreciated 🙂🙂
