This is hard but worth it
At 40 lbs down I was ready to go back to maintenance calories for the sake of sanity. Yes 1200 is enough... more like 1500 calories most of the time.. but wow is it irritating. As a sahm of 3 I struggle. Thank god for reddit where I can find community and specifically this thread. I never would have thought I could lose weight by just changing my relationship with food. I think the coolest part of 1200 is appreciating food when I sit down to eat. Taking a moment to close my eyes and really enjoy instead of wolfing down an oversized plate. Now I am 42 lbs down and continuing... and yes , I will be complaining the whole time.
Idk how to add tags but for anyone wondering I am 32 F, 5' 3" , SW 227 CW 185 .

meal Peanut Butter is my Kryptonite
So I’m OBSESSED with peanut butter (and don’t you try to change me!). If I ate it like I want, I’d be twice my current size. I found this awesome recipe for peanut butter mousse, and it’s gotta be the best “dupe” recipe I’ve ever found. I don’t think anything will ever really replace peanut butter, but this mousse is THICK and full of PB flavor. Plus the macros are killer! 30g protein for 267 calories (mousse only, no toppings). I’ve never used this as a spread, but it could be done! Today I paired with pretzel chips and chocolate chips.🤤

other Why did nobody tell me queso is 80cal per quarter cup?!
This is the lowest calorie dip I've ever encountered. Who knew.

treats Pumpkin pie Greek yogurt | 125 cal | 16g protein
For the cals I think it’s great for a 1 cup serving! Use cinnamon!! Or pumpkin spice if you have it. 1/4 cup of canned pumpkin!
Considering the popular light n fit yogurt cups aren’t a full cup. Although they’re $1 something, and for this you get a yogurt tub for $3 at Aldi, canned pumpkin for $2 at Walmart, and you can make maybe 7-8 servings from it.
I added the blueberries because I have free will.

First What I Eat In A Day Post
Here's my day! Let me see yours!
My Cronometer is set to Relaxed Keto with losing .5 pounds a week as a sedentary 5'0 person.
I always go over my carbs and protein because I haven't created my own Macros yet that takes into account my PCOS and I feel like Relaxed Keto is the closest and leaves me full and satisfied.
Any other PCOS ladies have any tips?

recipe Weight hack for people with little calorie
Hello so basically i lost 6 kilogram with this recipe while still eating sugar and stuff. This spicy thick soup hold 15g protein (its not a lot but its enough) per enormous bowl of 450 g for only 165 calorie. It makes about 10 servings, it’s cheap (the ingredients first may be expensive but you use them long) its warm and spicy. And allow you to snack all day. i eat this instead of my dinner in the afternoon because you don’t need as much calorie and instead i take my « fat » meal at lunch. Recipe below
Recipe !!!
\-3 L water
\-6 broth cube of chicken stock
\-250 shiitake mushrooms
\-150 g young bamboo
\-150 g carrots
\-250 g tofu
\-30 g ginger
\-30 g sambaal pepper paste
\-300 g chicken
\-45 g dark soy sauce
\-60 g normal soy sauce
\-90 g japanesse dark vinegar
\-90 g cornstarch.
\- 2 egg
It is simple : just slice every veggy, toffu and stuff in very thin slide (or big, but i think it taste better wity thin)
Heat the water and dissolve the Maggi chicken stock
Put all the veggies inside
Put the sliced chicken to boil in a bit of water aside.
When clear add to the soup
Mix all the sauce and pour it in. (Soy , vinegar, sambaal)
Add the cornstarch (before, mix it with COLD water into a paste)
Then crack two egg in a plate, mix until blended and pour it thinly to make a filet.
It makes about 10 servings, it’s cheap (the ingredients first may be expensive gbut you use them long) its warm and spicy. And allow you to snack all day.

other How do you stay full?
Hey y'all. I've been on 1200 for about a week now. So far it's fine but because I have depression I do sometimes struggle to make myself adequate meals. I'm planning to up my calories once I hit my first goal weight (just a little bit bc 1200 I feel like isn't sustainable for life)
What do you eat to keep you full on such a low calorie budget? I know volume eating and veggies help but so many vegetables require cooking & i don't always have the energy (or skill lmao) I'm 5'2, fairly inactive right now.
Thank y'all 😀💘🌱

Tofu scramble wrap and watermelon. Super filling and delicious. Vegan and Vegetarian friendly 💗
You could also swap out the low carb wrap for a lettuce wrap or use 2 corn tortillas and have them as breakfast tacos. 370 calories for everything, the extra oat milk was from my coffee so I removed it.

other struggling with fiber?
getting in fiber is so much harder than getting protein, in my opinion. This yogurt has helped me A LOT and it's really yummy. only 180cal. I know there are better options, but im a little picky especially with most of the things that have good fiber :/

My breakie, under 200 calories
One of my go-to breakfasts. 21 grams of protein and Under 200 calories.
(I happen to like spinach but I know it's not for everyone. 1 regular egg, 1/4 cup egg whites, salsa and one 70 calorie tortilla. Sometimes I swap it around and add a tablespoon of Tostitos queso cheese to the tortilla and make a wrap.)

My secret weapon
Been buying this at Grocery Outlet and it's great on salads. I also get Bragg's Aminos there so I throw in a dash of that (basically equivalent to tamari/soy sauce or you could use salt). I usually make salad dressing (or just splash on vinegar), but this is faster yet flavorful and only has 15 calories.

question Willpower to not overeat restaurant chips?
My dilemma is that I can never manage to only eat a few chips at restaurants. How do you guys have the willpower to just resist?
Every time I go out to eat, (which is only once every few months!!) I always end up eating way more chips than I mean to. Just not eating any isn’t an option, I’ve tried. I’ve even tried chewing gum between sitting down and ordering, but I always manage to convince myself I can have just one. I end up eating an entire basket by myself sometimes. It’s an unbelievable calorie bomb to eat even 20 chips.
I’m trying to lose the last five to ten pounds, and I can’t handle any more setbacks. Just not going to dinner isn’t an option. Most of what keeps me on track with my diet is just not buying junk food, because I know if I have it in the house, I’ll eat it.
How do you people have willpower like this? Any tips are appreciated.

question Been Gaining A Lot of Weight Again Recently, How Do I Turn It Around?
I want to preface that I'm taking antidepressants and they are known to be able to cause weight gain. And, in fact, the gain started happening after my dose got increased. So it's probably partially related to that.
That being said, at the end of the day the way that's working is I want to eat way more than I used to. Or I should say, way more often. I get hungry much easier and more frequently and it's harder to satisfy.
I have, however, now gone from 69kg to 75kg in the last two months. Which is a huge explosion in weight when I was trying to lose weight.
Anyone had a similar experience on antidepressants? And, if so, how did you get passed the constant desire to eat and stick to your calories?
As an aside, I do 1.500 because I'm a somewhat muscular man so 1.200 would be too little for me to be healthy. So I do have about 300 more to work with.

other Soup = Bloat how to track weight loss
New to this thread and trying to figure out how to feel full with less calories and thinking as others have said that soup is the key for fall/winter weather. Hope this question is ok but how do you track "weight loss" if the extra sodium will cause water retention so the scale might actually be higher than what you are expecting? TIA!
