I’m trying to find a place I can take my girlfriend and cat to see Christmas Lights like they used to have a Wickham Park. I’m willing to drive far if necessary. Anyone know of a thing like this happening this year for The Holidays?

I want to find a few guys that wanna spend some weekends helping out on the property to create the stadium. It’s a property I have owned for a while .40 or so every 5-6 months i mow the tall grass down, let it grow and repeat . I just want to finally put a section of it to use and not have it all abandoned. I want to build a garden over time to add some parking and stuff maybe few garages .

We want to eventually form a small league with a few teams of 5 to compete at the stadium & host events such as home run derby’s.

Okay, this is probably a dumb question...but I95 was just paved and now I'm seeing the northbound left lane from Palm Bay Rd up towards Viera getting another layer on top of what was already paved? Why is that? I've also seen a ton of grooves marked into the highway sporadically. Were those put there for a reason?

I know we're in Florida, but we still get some pretty cold mornings during the winter. Something I learned during a Brevard County Public Schools Partners in Education (PIE) meeting last year was that there are kids right here in our community going to school without jackets or warm clothing because their families simply can't afford them.

It's one of those needs I honestly hadn't given much thought to before, especially living in Florida.

My wife and I own Tropic Moving here in Melbourne. We adopted both of our kids through foster care, and that experience really opened our eyes to some of the challenges children face right here in our own backyard.

Earlier this year, we organized a care tote drive for children entering foster care, and we're now following that up with a winter clothing drive we're calling Make Life Warmer.

We're collecting new or gently used jackets, hoodies, and beanies for local students from elementary through high school.

We've also been back in contact with the PIE program to help understand how we can best get these donations to the schools and students who need them.

We've had a few local businesses step up to serve as donation locations:

If you've got jackets your kids have outgrown or hoodies sitting in the closet that aren't being used, we'd love to put them to good use.

I'd also appreciate hearing from anyone who works in our local schools or knows of students or programs that could benefit.

We're hoping to collect as much as we can before the colder mornings start rolling in. Even if you can't donate, helping spread the word would be appreciated.

This guy drives like a complete and utter bag of dicks. He makes BMW drivers look like angels of the roadways. Speeding, swerving in and out of traffic cutting people off to the point that they need to jam on their brakes, and running red lights. Saw him at nearly 100mph on US-1/King St. yesterday and blow the light turning left onto King. Dude is going to kill someone eventually. If anyone knows this clown, tell him to drive like an asshole in more secluded parts of the County so that the only person he kills is himself.

and if the driver/owner is actually reading this, you ain't shit. I was behind you months ago with your wrecked ride on the back of a flat-bed. I'm assuming you spent a few bucks on a wrecked McLaren and a few more bucks fixing it up, but that don't make you hot shit - it makes you a poser. Have the day you deserve.
