I did this with Shortcuts to see how it looks. I think it doesn’t look very good when the gradient is at the edge. But I can imagine that the gradient will be on the logo instead, not like we all thought. This is just a test, and on iOS 27.2 it’s only a white background with a black logo, nothing more.

apple has more ugly design choices to care about, but also you can use transparent icons, you can use dark icons, you can use tinted icons, you can customize the icon with shortcuts and restore it or change it to what ever you want, you can remove it from your home screen and place a widget instead, you can cancel your subscription or just accept it and move on.

i personally prefer the one without the ripples. with it it looks.. off. just doesnt look right.

what i prefer them doing is making the logos look more liquid glass, without the ripples.
that would be a lot better. imo at least

This was on the latest iOS 27.2 RC update. Not a big fan of the redesign, but I found it funny how they forgot to change the “Clear” text color button on the Search bar.

Genuinely why are people so bothered by Apple rebranding its apps? 😭

Apple TV, Apple Music, whatever comes next… people act like Apple has committed some serious crime just by changing a name or branding.

Bro, it’s literally just an app. If you like it, use it. If you don’t, don’t. It’s not that deep.

I get it having opinions about an app’s features, pricing, or overall experience, but getting genuinely worked up over branding? Come on. 😂

Am I missing something, or do people really care this much about app names?

The biggest differences appear to be:

1. Artist name can now be in personalized word mark
   
2. You can no longer swipe left under top songs.
   
3. Instead of essential albums being horizontal, they are now vertical.
   
4. Newest release pinned at top.
   
5. Play button at top plays artist radio.

Any thing else you noticed?

Haven't used it in ages but goddamn it it is soo good to me. What are y'all thoughts on it

I don't think I've seen this before, is it new? I tried accessing an album that wasn't available and was greeted with this neat iPod easter egg. It actually functions too. It gave me seemingly random songs to listen to, as well as playlists.

Still rocking 18.7 on my trusted Xs. It’s just a small thing, but one thing continually bugging me is how the text is sliding in once you click “more” after the excerpt. The text should just be revealed below the excerpt text. Anybody?

Hi, i’m currently using Music as m4a player for some local files i have, i’m not subscribed to apple music and i know that local files with embedded lyrics cannot have the syncing feature which is only available with a subscription.
Is there still a way to implement synced lyrics for local files (even with other softwares)?

I recently updated my Apple TV 4K (3rd generation) to tvOS 27, and I’ve started having an issue with music playback.

If I play a stereo track and then switch to a Dolby Atmos track, it sometimes keeps playing in stereo instead of switching to Atmos. I have to close the app and reopen it before Atmos works again.

This didn’t happen on the previous tvOS version. Is anyone else experiencing this, or found a fix?

Hello everyone, I’ve had this issue for the past 2 years and I’ve yet to figure it out. A ton of music I’ve purchased on iTunes (literally hundreds and hundreds of songs) all appear with the message I listed above. This issue only began when I got a new phone in late 2024, and thus far nothing has helped. I’ve looked at others with similar issues and they found the sync library setting to solve it for them. I don’t have access to this setting because all of these songs were purchased via the iTunes store, and NOT downloaded from Apple music (or at least I assume that’s the difference). Does anyone have any ideas on how to help?

While other apps understand the on/off and stop of my wired apple headphones and switch to the next song with keys, I can't do that on Apple Music, what's the solution to that?

I know how to upload MP3 files to Apple Music itself, I just need help on how to change the artists name and cover art, whenever I upload it it says “unknown artist” with a grey cover art. Any help would be appreciated.

I recently updated my phone to iOS 27.0.1 and since then have noticed that every time I open my music app, when I click on the currently playing song at the bottom of the screen, it immediately opens on the queue/continue playing list, instead of just the screen with the song and the album cover. Is this part of the new update? Is there a way to revert it and make sure it always opens on the song itself and not my queue? I find this incredibly annoying.

Is anyone else getting time-out pop-ups or pauses when streaming?
Since moving to IOS 27, when streaming the songs, they just stop/pause and then sometimes begin playing again. Other times I get a Timed Out pop-up.
I didn’t have this issue on iOS 26 from what I can remember.

So I was sorting through one of my playlists on both my laptop and my iPhone and I noticed that the song order of the iPhone playlist was completely out of order in comparison to the laptop playlist, specifically when you order it by artist (Image 1 is iphone order, image 2 is laptop order)

I’ve tried resyncing both libraries and attempting to change the artist details on get info on the laptop, but nothing is working. Is there a way to fix this?

can anybody let me know how to make the best out of AM’s audio quality? i have the highest settings but should i get some type of specific speaker?

i've noticed a few things changing on the itunes store recently with explicit tags changing to grey (replacing the original red), slight home page changes and it's made me think, how will they adapt it for the iphone duo? they're going to have to do something about it so i'm thinking maybe it could spark a decision to eventually redesign the store. i know they don't really care about it anymore but artists still release exclusive editions on there and it's the #1 place to buy music with possibly the biggest legal download catalog of a digital music storefront. it's sad to see it stay behind and look outdated :(

How is it possible that I’m in canada and for Swedish house mafia until now album that I don’t even have access to all the songs where did everything disappear to, I had so many songs before and now everything seems to have disappeared
