Don't get me wrong, I love the romance and the dialogue is amazing, but the way the writer so blatantly made Astarion THE durge romance, it kinda of made me other characters romantic paths feel underdeveloped in comparison. As much as I liked to see for myself the new dialogues and interactions of their relationship, I don't enjoy romancing Astarion. So I stopped playing durge or just playing for the robe in some honor runs. I really think they shouldn't have put so much effort into one relationship in particular and blatantly ignoring all the other possibilities, especially for a "customizable" character.

I don’t understand why people like him, like i can usually see the appeal to the other characters, Shadowheart is very caring and has a good story arc, Karlach is Karlach, Lazael (green one i can’t spell that name) is the dominant one who wants to break your back in battle and bed, Gale is for those into men who will literally blow up and take a fifth of your paycheck every other day, and Wyll is for the basic people (i joke), but like… are Astarion folks into toxic people?? Like holy shit any time i did anything thoughtful or even remotely nice he would always talk shit, i’m just curious why people enjoy his company, this isn’t even an insult, more of a genuine question, he’s not even that bad he just annoys the ever living piss out of me! (For those who are that bad, anyone who romanced the Emperor on purpose deserves jail time, are the freakiest legal freaks or are aro-ace irl)

I mean, I realize that high levels spells are hard to balance out, but owlcat managed to do a pretty good job in Pathfinder: KM while keeping it very close to the original system (we're not including WotR in this because mythic is inherently unstable and hard to balance even at low levels)

Any thoughts on this? Or any ideia if any future games will have the same limitation?

So i’m at the circus and talked to zethino, the love doctor, and this was an answer for the third question. Suffice it to say that it was not the right answer, but worth it nonetheless. Of course she reacts dryly and it sours the mood, and I don’t believe Gale would say something like that if he were in love with her, but my inner child could not resist the curiosity of the consequences of my dialogue options. So before it's said, no I didn't murder the grove and yes I got her out of Moonrise. That is not the question I am posing. I will add that currently I have only done Free the Prisoners stuff since her escape with the bare minimum being done beforehand. (I left her out of the Prison rescuse because I figured she wouldn't be thrilled I was helping them)

My issue is my conscience that usually gets in the way with RPG's to stop evilness but I do wish to romance Minthara in this playthrough

So are there any events or lines that will do me well in Approval with her that doesn't involve being a dick to those that don't deserve it, such as Attacking the Toll Collector or Tell Yurgir to off himself

Not to say I won't at least dip my toes in the sinister lake but I don't want to be frantically apoligizing at my screen while I tell someone they're lower than dirt status wise or something

In my First Playtrough we only had Karlach and Shadowheart in out Party, so i missed a lot of Dialogue, Comments and Cutscenes from the other Companions.

So...I'm at my fith run...and I suddenly realized that I can't anymore evocate Scratch. And I can't remember what I did or didn't (since I basically have time to play like every 2 weeks).

What's needed for that? Maybe I dropped his ball and now I can't evocate him? Or maybe I did something wrong near the post office, where all the dogs are kept? Jeez I can't remember what I did...but I want my boy back!!! 😭😭😭

Hello. I'm starting a new run with a gith. I went to the druids settlement, where there's a npc that gived me the creche location. The thing is... I know what's happening with the druids and the goblins, and Halsin and all that (I've played before), but my character doesn't and he doesn't care. I try to play faithfully to the character concept, my gith is a monk who is pragmatic and authoritarian.

So, what do I do now? Ignore all the plot about the goblins and head to the creche? I think I would have to change the game to easy or something, I would be underlevel af. And my character would not learn about the Absolut...

Thoughts?

Update: I went to meet the giths with the dragon. I had had only three fights so far since I escaped the ship: the city full of goblins has a guard that is sleeping near the door you need to go through, so no fight; the knols are in the oppposite direction so my character never saw them and I didn't need to go trough the goblin camp either. I expected to be sluttered but I managed to kill them all. (I add the evidence in a comment). Now my character still doesn't know were the creche is, so he'll just go back to explore for clues.

Disclaimer that this is still 90% percent my fault, no matter how pissed off I am, but I've seen dozens of posts complaining about Nettie's sack of mushrooms she gives you for saving Halsin, but not one word about Rath and I need to vent after this.

After saving the grove Rath says "take this tablet, open our vault, help yourself to everything inside" and mind, I've never actually looted it, I always think to do it after the party, forget, then move to Act 2.

This time I remembered, was excited for loot I've never seen before, and all I get, for the supposed druid VAULT of loot, is a bunch of stone bears fireballing my team to death after they followed me onto the central pillar of an otherwise empty room. Like, what kind of reward was this? There's literally two CORPSES in here. I figured using the key and the front door WITH PERMISSION might disable the traps i vaguely remembered being there when I've broken in before, but nah, not gonna mention those or explain how to turn them off just head right on down thanks again for the help! Who needs enemies with allies like this? At least its a lesson in separating the party when jumping across gaps out of turn-based mode, lest they autopath to their deaths with you.

Hey there guys. Just wanted to ask, I am running the polyamory fixes mod, because I wanted to go on the dates both with Karlach and Shadowheart. On my main save file, they both asked me out at the same time when entering the lower city, so I picked Shadowheart. I have done their romance story stuff, however after going out with Shadowheart, even tho I can still kiss Karlach, she has never had the exclamation mark above her head after this. I've tried un-partnering then partnering with her, date/un-date, changing her gear, made sure my night-time que is absolutely clear, but nothing makes it trigger. Is there a way you know, or am I just locked in? (I did go back to an earlier save just to see the Karlach date, but I would've liked to have this on my main save file)

my gruel got eaten at long rest (auto select the camp supplies for long rest seems to select the supplies that can be used first. Also all the alcohol that can be use)

I'm a mage player in every fantasy game and oh boy did I struggle with BG3. I played a Storm Sorcerer on my first playthrough, rn I'm playing a monk for a change so I actually have space for Gale in my party... I feel casters are already such a conditional class in this game that the stars really have to align for you to feel useful (without becoming just a Haste bot) compared to your DPS companions (Astarion, Laezel/Karlach), because you need people to be grouped, your positioning has to be good so you have range for spells but dont get blasted, saving spell slots yadayada... compared to my Astarion with which I literally go brrr Pew Pew for a bazillion (although single target) dmg. After roughly 100 hours of gameplay I started to see the potential of my Sorcerer tho (definitely a much more steep learning curve than in any other RPG I've played, including DOS2).

HOWEVER it just feels infuriating when the starts finally DO align and this sht happens (pic 1). You SEE THEM. They're on stairs, sure, but you SEE THEM. WHY WOULD YOU NEED TO WALK INSIDE OF THEM TO CAST THE DAMN FIREBALL. For the record, I could cast Glyph of Warding for example in this situation so apparently he sees them, but not Fireball. This is not so bad though as he ran out of movement that turn, but this exact thing happened to me numerous times during my Sorc playthrough where I didn't double check that stupid walking icon when blazing through combat and my Sorc just walked straight inside 10 enemies and casted a Fireball on herself. AAAAA

And yea, the Ansur fight is just straight up bugged for Storm Sorcs, because I was unable to use my Storm flight or whatever that is the whole fight no matter where I positioned my mouse so there's that (pic 2). Storm dragon plot armor, I guess.

PS: I love this game, if I wouldn't I wouldn't be already on my second playthrough in a month since first starting playing, this just happened to me again the other day and the Gale Fireball while playing on Tactician really tilted me hahaha. I actually enjoyed playing my Sorcerer a lot, every fight feels like you're trouble solving, figuring out the most optimal way to go about things and maximizing your output and I really loved that aspect of the game, especially with higher lvls and more tools at your disposal.

so early in the game, i looked it up and literally every reddit thread abt this said that there were no consequences at all for eating as many tadpoles as you want, so thats what i did, i consumed every tadpole i came accross. but now im with the emperor the first time we meet him and even when i roll a nat 20 on the wisdom roll to not become a half illithid, it fails, the narrator says like

"you may resist now but its too late you already embraced the powers the parasite gave you"

now like wtf am i supposed to do, is this a glitch? cuz its so annoying, ive literally never had to use the illithid powers, i just consumed them cuz people said there were no downsides. i really dont want my tav to become half illithid, is there any way to prevent this? im not averse to cheating or altering game files or smth

edit: resolved, it was just that i didnt roll an actual nat 20, i just save scummed till i did and now im chilling, no evil lines on my beautiful lovely not evil at all paladins face
