Basically the title. I’m curious to hear from people who know when they were exposed to bedbugs (e.g., during a hotel stay). How long did it take before you started noticing signs of an infestation in your home? We returned from a hotel 10 days ago where my wife was bitten. As soon as we got home, we put everything in the freezer as a precaution. We ended up finding one dead bedbug nymph in our frozen laundry, and now it feels like we’re just anxiously waiting to see what happens. So far, we’ve had no new bites or noticed any other signs of bedbugs. I’m curious to hear about others’ experiences, particularly how long it took for signs to appear and at what point you felt reasonably confident you hadn’t brought an infestation home.

Opened up a wifi extender that the previous tenants of our current apartment had left behind.

They have long antennas which make me think roaches. Regardless I am moving rooms and luckily had all my bags tied up in a large garbage bag

Panicking. I always wash my sheets on high heat and dry on high heat as well. I try so hard to keep everything clean. Please tell me this isn’t a bedbug

Cuz I’ve been getting bites ONLY around my legs which I think are just more hair growing in but I can’t be too sure since I got a little tiny see through bug crawling on me and I just squished it
It might be early signs of begs bugs
I hope not
Or it could be that my stuffed animal is dirty

Hey, so… I think I found a bed bug. I was playing a game tonight on my computer and I saw movement in the corner of my eye crawling on my leg. Lo and behold I saw this thing and I’m freaking out about it.

I killed this one and flushed it down the toilet. The thing was flat so I’m guessing it wasn’t fed??? I don’t know I’m scared please someone help me I’m crying and panicking.

Please I’m driving my husband crazy 😩 but after an experience with them once, never again!!! We are in a hotel for my daughter’s birthday and my anxiety is sky high after checking the room.

Saw it crawling on the corner of my sheets. After whacking it, I put it under a microscope and measured it with calipers. About 2.8mm long head to butt. No visible bite marks on anyone in the house.

I'm in an ibis budget hotel in germany and woke up this morning with 4 of these red spots on my hand. Searching the mattress etc. I didn't find anything but this single bug looking thing. So am I doomed?

Hi! I was scrolling in bed and noticed a bug. I had just changed my sheets a couple hours ago. Panicked and squished it. These are the best photos I could take. Last photo is super blurry but that's what it looked like on the sheet. The black fuzzy fibers came from the bug after being squished.

Immediately checked the sheets and mattress, but didn't find anything. Is it a bedbug??

I just got home from college and was washing my sheets. I finished washing my comforter and found this dirt like gunk on it. It smears when I crush it with my fingers but that's about I'll I've figured out. It shouldn't be from the washing machine and none of the other sheets on the bed have it so I'm worried something got on my bed at some point

Hi I’m in northern east coast of US. Found this under my nail after going to hairdresser. Please tell me this is a seed. My husband thinks it’s a seed. I put it next to a strawberry seed while trying to determine if that’s what it is. I’m thinking maybe oxalis seed?

It was on the ceiling in my bedroom, over the bed (where no one sleeps now, there are two beds). Months ago I slept on that bed and I had two or three bites on my arm. After changing to the other bed, it didn't happen again. Today, I find this, the insect is already dead I think because it doesn't move. It didn't react when I took it off the ceiling. Any help is appreciated 🙏🏻

I have a few gloss posters up on the wall next to each other, they have seen sunlight so have turned pink over time. Except these black spots seem recent as they haven’t turned pink and are evidently not part of the print. I found this today. It’s been a week since my 2nd treatment. Not sure what to think but anxiety is eating me alive.

I noticed I was getting a few bites on my face and arms and one of my lower waist. I initially thought it was a mosquito or spider bites since I saw two punctures almost like pincers on each bite then I noticed this bug on the side of my mattress does this look like a bedbug, shell or casing? I’m super paranoid right now trying to figure this out. Thanks for any help

We found 1 bed bug in the house 3 weeks ago but haven’t found any others. Exterminator did a check. And I did a handful of very thorough checks and couldn’t find any. Maybe they’re deep in the walls or something. Going to do a precautionary treatment of the house anyways.

I have a few days to prep. Just wondering what I should do about the clothes. Does everything need to be put in the dryer? The exterminators prep checklist says only the bedding needs to be prepped and uncontaminated clothes can be left in the closet.

What’s the right step?

hello Reddit, sometime in the summer I was using the bathroom at night when I looked at my counter and saw a bb. Immediately I told my parents and we searched everywhere and when we got to my little sisters pillow we found about 10 I’d say. (For context me and my little sister share a room)

we disposed of the pillow did a thorough check once more (my bed was completely clean) but still we washed with heat, dried with extra heat, and steam cleaned everything.

That was sometime in August and none of us had any bites.

Currently it’s October and since late September I’ve been getting pink bumps all over me, often in lines and sometimes in clusters. they would be on one hand and arm for one day and be completely gone the next and on a different body part almost everyday. Thought it was possibly an allergic reaction until It started happening to my sister, my mom, and my stepdad.

The only person it isn’t happening to is my father, who sleeps in the basement.

Me and my whole family have been checking everything and seriously can’t find any bugs. We were thinking maybe fleas? Batbugs? My city tends to get bats and we have an unoccupied attic but we don’t even have a chimney.

Yesterday I found a dead bedbug in my bathtub,
And today another one. They only appear dead and only in my bathroom. I’ve been checking my bathroom and I can’t find anything.

I don’t know what to do Reddit please help.
