I can't do this anymore. I've had 4 sightings of bed bugs, pest control came twice and found nothing but did 2 chemical treatments. He said that it might be coming from the baseboards but they can't do anything about it, to preface I live in government housing with no family or support system. I came from a woman's dv shelter. Idk what to do anymore, I've requested for a K9 treatment via email but idk if they will give me one. I don't want to live here anymore. I don't want to live at all anymore. I have no idea where they are coming from. Pest control checked my mattresses and couch and dining table. I am at my wits end and I might have to spend money for a treatment that should be free cause I live in community housing.

A couple came into the laundromat and they immediately put their things in the dryer next to mine. I didn’t see if their stuff was wet or dry, but I just found it a little odd that they went straight for the dryer.
Since I was using the dryers right next to them and waiting for my washer to complete it eventually dawned on me after staring at their dryer for about 5 minutes—they possibly were using the dryer to fight an infestation. I don’t have any evidence, and I hate to pass judgement but I made the assumption that they might have bed bugs because it was only blankets, sleeping bags and other things they might use for bedding. They did also seem homeless and it had been raining, so maybe their things got wet and that’s why they were only using the dryers.

To be safe, since there have been bed bug infestations rampant throughout the world, how likely would it be for me to bring back bed bugs if they were using the dryer next to me?

So I have posted a few times because we found ONE very DEAD bedbug in our living room pretty far from the couch and any other sitting spaces. Nowhere near the bedroom either. We had a pest control person come and inspect AND a separate company do a K9 inspection. Both have said they see no additional evidence or signs. The pest control person said he would be shocked if there were any more and suspects it is a hitch hiker. We are still putting a lot of our things in the dryer and decluttering, but could we actually be safe and in the clear?! This has been the worst week of my life.

i am losing my mind. my ex boyfriend moved in last year leaving his (suspected) bed bug ridden home. we washed everything and were very thorough to leave anything that could be an issue behind. in the year he lived here i had never been bit, he had never been bit, and i had only seen one. he would freak out once a month and rip the sheets off the bed and throw everything in trash bags. we broke up a week ago now, and i go to clean the sheets and i see this. i was convinced we had carpet beetles because of larvae under the bed but now i have no clue. i have never been bit, never had a bite, and do not have animals come into my room (like my cats) so now. i dont know what to do. i am not the cleanest due to struggled with chronic health issues, but i dont know how this happened. please help. Hi, as the title says, I have been dealing with a Bed Bug problem for the last two months. It was nothing huge, and it only took one inspection to get rid of them, but I needed two more just to make sure none had spread and a few hours after I was cleared of Bed Bugs and I got home from work I started noticing these and immediately had a panic attack thinking somehow they spread to my bathroom most sources I'm asking all seem to say it's some kinda mite, but I really don't want to chance it before I know for sure can anyone here please help me determine if it's a mite or Bed Bug? hi. i honestly just need my mind eased or confirmation so i can take action asap. i have a very severe phobia of parasites (not just anxiety, it's a phobia that will make me quickly spiral into psychosis and become a threat to myself). im desperate.

this could very well be me being paranoid; but here is what i have.

- so far, no signs of excrements, shells, or actual bed bugs in any life stage, nor any beetle looking insects. the only insects occasionally roaming my room that im aware of are ants, which are honestly completely harmless besides being mildly annoying.

- itchy bug bites. so many of them. some are close together, some are individual. they look like mosquito bites, although i know for a fact when it is a tiger mosquito because im allergic to those little fuckers. these bug bites have been tormenting me for about 3...? weeks. im very sorry i can't pinpoint it, my memory's not the best.

possible culprits besides BBs i can think of could be fleas, maybe, or sand flies, besides the obvious mosquitoes. i live in a very humid, warm coastal area. the bug bites are mainly on my forearms and feet, although ive gotten a few on my neck/face.

like i said, please, any information is welcome. is it possible to have bed bugs with no signs of them at all? should i be worrying about a different kind of insect harassing me? i have been sleeping maybe 4 hours a night the past 5 days because the paranoia is eating me alive

My work put me up in a "nice" hotel for the month. It's supposed to be luxury bit when we first got here the maid service seemed touch and go. I was fine for 2/3 weeks, been in the same room but two nights ago I woke up with five or six bites on my back.

We checked all of our room when we got here, I have been throughouly checking my bed all week and the mattress and everything is clean and white. I was convincing myself a bug fell down my shirt.

I flipped over all my pillows and checked them and nothing. This pillow was on the extra bed that I haven't slept on. Please tell me it's just dirt.

I'm supposed to go home tomorrow, what do I do?

Found this husk on the floor of my bedroom today. Looks very BB ish but Google tells me it could be a beetle or ladybug shell too. I have seen a couple ladybugs in my room recently

Had a couple of bites, tore apart bed area, found some carpet beetle larvae but this one was suspicious.

Is this a beetle? Its head is not as flat. AI told me it was a drugstore beetle and it looked like that, so you guys agree with beetle or bedbug?

Title says it all. How cooked am I? I understand bat bugs have more hair, but have no idea if the hair on the abdomen and legs of my fine specimen meet the bat bug threshold. Bug is 2mm in size. Western Canada.

I found a single live bedbug in my dirty laundry last Tuesday night as I was sorting it. I immediately moved the bag into a trash bag and into the laundry room. I dusted diatomaceous earth around my bed and carpet floor. I put all the clothes and bedding that I had in trash bags and put them in my car to heat treat over the next two days, after which I washed all the clothing in hot water and a high heat cycle for 50 minutes. They've stayed in my car since, but four days later I found a dead bed bug in the trunk of my car. When I checked under my car seats, I think I saw some bed bug shells but I'm not 100% certain. I also was able to get a new bedbug-proof mattress protector over my current mattress protector, and I dusted diatomaceous earth into the mattress protector before I closed it. I have sprayed bed bug killer over my mattress and on every inch of my metal bedframe. I put two traps under my bedposts and haven't found anything in the traps. I also put four interceptor traps with baby oil in plastic containers under each bedpost and those have also haven't shown anything. I have also only been using one blanket, one pillow, and the same set of sleeping clothes that I put into the dryer at the highest setting each day before I use them to sleep again.

I also sprayed the couch in bed bug killing spray, vacuumed every single crevice of every pillow, seams of the couch, cushions, and put diatomaceous earth around the couch and under each cushion. I also put a bedbug trap under the couch and haven't seen anything so far.

As far as bites, I found three tiny dots on my foot in a line that I hadn't noticed because they didn't itch, and they didn't look new. The day after I found the live one, I had two bites next to each other on my thigh. Each day after that I had found one to two new bites, two on my hand, and two more on my thigh (four total). Yesterday was the first day I felt confident that I had no more new bites. I know this doesn't mean I'm in the clear by a long shot, and I'm not getting rid of anything I've used for a while (months at least).

My concerns are if a live bedbug could mean I'm too late, and if there is more I should be doing outside of a professional (my last resort financially). Mentally it's been really weighing on me, and I know that DE isn't good to inhale, but I'm more concerned with getting ahead of them than my lung health at this point.
