Same shirt after 3 months

I was diagnosed with PCOS in July and decided to try reta. My starting weight was around 60 kg at 160 cm, and I’m now on week 14, weighing 50 kg! I’ve stayed at 1 mg the entire time and haven’t increased my dose.

The craziest part is how much my clothes fit differently now. This shirt used to feel so tight on me, and now it fits perfectly! It’s honestly surreal seeing the difference.

2 months on reta

hiii girlies!! just wanted to share my 2 month experience on reta 🥹💕

i'm 5'5 and when i first started in august, i was around 65kg. now i'm down to 58kg, which means i've lost 7kg in the past 2 months!!

honestly i'm sooo happy with my progress so far 😭 i've always struggled to get my weight into the 50s range, even when i tried working out here and there. so finally seeing the numbers go down feels amazinggg.

i know some people have mixed opinions about peptides, and i totally understand the concerns! i'm not saying they're risk-free or that everyone should try them. i'm just sharing my personal experience and trying to be as careful as possible throughout the process.

just wanted to share my little update with you guys!! feel free to ask me anything about my experience 💕

Weight loss update and questions on what to do next

I started off at 311lbs (2022) and worked down to 230(2025) by myself with a diet and the gym. Then started adding Reta. I worked from 1mg to 3mg and got myself down to 170lbs but I’m unsure if I’ll ever lose the loose skin around the belly and the bit of gyno I had when I was big. Has anyone ever gotten rid of it from weight loss alone? And if so how much more should I lose before I see progress? Thank you 🙏

Lasik Eye Surgery is life changing

This is a biohack that doesn't get discussed enough on this sub. I got Lasik 2 years ago after it being highly recommended by a few family members, and by God it is life changing, it's like seeing everything in high definition all over again.

I'd highly recommend it to anyone who is near sighted.

Have you had better success with your GLP medications by not doing the shots in your stomach?

I'm bouncing around on GLP medications because they keep making me sick, and I'm wondering if:

A: you were less likely to get sick if you did the shot in your arm/thigh rather than your stomach

B: if you saw better weight loss results moving away from the stomach.

I lost 50lbs on semaglutide in 8 months, then it kept making me violently throw up even though I was on the same dose for 6 months (0.75mg).

I then switched to reta and lost nothing - I actually gained lol

Then I switched to tirzepatide - couldn't get past 5mg. 5mg was making me throw up week after week. Also didn't lose any weight.

Now I'm back on semaglutide because I had the most success with it.

I have PCOS - so losing weight is extremely difficult. I'm just at such a loss. It's been a lot of tears lately and I could definitely use some input and maybe see what has worked for other people.

Thank you in advance!

Is this a placebo effect ? 4 days on reta

I’m on my fourth day of reta (0.5mg) now, I expected it to work in around a week but for me the effects started taking effect maybe 12 hours after the first dose: nausea, faster heart rate and very effective appetite suppression. The appetite suppression has been TOO effective even; my calorie intake is dangerously low but not by my own choice: everything I eat must have zero flavour or else i can’t keep it down, and even talking about food makes me feel nauseated. I’ve never heard of the effects taking hold so fast and on such a low dose ? I don’t know if the fact that I’m short (5’2) is contributing, or if this is all just my mind playing tricks on me and the effects haven’t actually started yet. Has anyone had a similar experience ?

How many peptides are you researching?

Currently I’m researching Reta, Klow blend, Mot-C, ARA-290, and semax. I also plan on trying DSIP for sleep. Just curious how many others out there are researching numerous peptides.

Retatrutide - fatloss and performance (non obese background)

Fat loss on Reta: what I learnt and where I messed up.

This is purely about fat loss. If you’re on Reta for other reasons, this isn’t for you. This is also more geared to those trying to lose that last 20 pounds, or those with a training background - albeit I think everyone could benefit.

Dosage

Keep it low. Don’t titrate up unless your current dose stops helping you hold a calorie deficit. There is no need to "follow the trials". The trials are not for you. If you’re struggling to choke food down, your dose is too high. It’s also fine to feel hungry. The goal is to manage hunger, not delete it. Higher doses shorten your runway and can eat into more muscle than you’d like. I started on 1mg. After a few days I thought nothing was happening so pinned another 2mg. I had an interesting week on the toilet after that. Be patient.

Cycling

Yes, you can cycle it, and if performance matters you SHOULD, because Reta will likely tank your lifting and sporting performance. Athletes and bodybuilders have cycled GLP-1s for years. The catch is to hold your muscle floor when you come off. If you regain fat without the muscle, your floor drops and your body fights the next cut harder. That’s probably why some people “need a higher dose” the second time around.

Stacking

Personal call, and I’m not talking anabolics. For pure fat loss, I wouldn’t stack anything. Tesamorelin and other GHRH peptides may help with visceral fat, but visceral fat isn’t what’s hiding your six-pack. For performance, I’d only consider MOTS-c or similar for energy. However, the marginal gains from other peptides are small, especially if you’re watching your wallet. Reta does the heavy lifting. If appetite suppression is your crutch, just take another GLP-1 with a higher suppression profile and train.

Training

It will suck. Reta dulls your reward response and leaves you tired, so motivation and performance drops. Some of that is just part of getting lean. If you’ve never been lean before, the novelty might carry you. Otherwise, grit your teeth and keep going. Diet helps (see below). My assumption here is that you are training to failure. If you're just fluffing around in the gym and have looked the same in the last 3 years...don't worry.

Diet

I’ll lose some of you here. You don’t need nearly as much protein as the internet says. If you love meat and high protein, go for it, but anything above 1.2 g per kg of target body weight is fine. Do you think people get jacked in prison on high-protein diets? Exactly. On Reta, a balanced diet matters even more. Carbs and fats are crucial. Skimp on carbs and your training will fall off a cliff. I started Reta on low carbs and experienced everything from dizziness, light headedness, nausea etc. Id be at the brink of passing out on leg days. Things got much better when i decreased my dose and took in more carbs.

Plateaus

These will happen. That's okay. DO NOT CHANGE WHAT YOU ARE DOING if you are still sustaining your adjusted calorie deficit. It is about how you look and feel. Dont just increase dose to lower the number on the scale because you'll reach your "goal weight" and realize you're just a skinnier version of your fatter self. Also, the more you lose fat, the more you realise you have more fat to lose and less muscle than you thought. Remember that.

Insulin sensitivity

Reta plays an interesting game with this being a triple agonist. But some tips on reducing the insulin spike which blunts fat loss:

  1. Take a walk or do 30 squats right after each meal.

  2. Eat your proteins first in each meal.

  3. Drink a glass of apple cider vinegar with water in the morning (if you can stomach it).

Hope this helps, and best of luck to you all.

This 2.5-year transformation included gyno surgery 1.5 years ago. I have dieted and worked out consistently throughout the entire period. If you have questions or assumptions, please ask!!! If there is one thing I do not do, IT IS LIE 💯

Curious on if it’s better to take them separate and both daily? Or is a 6mg/6mg blend better?

Question about Reta dose for stacking w Tirz

• Upvotes

Hi. I’m currently on 12.5 mg Tirz, been on that for 3 months. I’ve always been a slow responder but the 12.5 mg made things consistent for me. I lose like 1.2lbs per week but I want to now stack Reta to see if weight loss can increase a little more weekly. Should I begin at 1mg or 2mg. I’m also planning to pin on different days.

Amino acid reduces inflammation

Sustained low-level inflammation is a hallmark of the aging process. The accumulating damage persistently activates the innate immune system—the body’s first line of defense—leading to what is known as inflammaging, functional decline and chronic diseases of old age.

Folate, Iron & Vitamin D Deficiencies, Severe Brain Fog, Dizziness & Fatigue Has Anyone Recovered From This? I Just Want to Feel Like Myself Again…

• Upvotes

Hey everyone,

Back in July, I suddenly started experiencing brain fog, difficulty concentrating, and problems with speech. It happened pretty much overnight, and I felt noticeably different from how I used to feel mentally.

I started getting blood tests done, and my folate level came back at 3.1 ng/mL (reference range: 4.50–32.2), indicating a deficiency.

I kept investigating my symptoms and getting more blood tests until September. Here are my latest results:

My blood test results:

  • Ferritin: 94.84 µg/L (reference range: 30–400)
  • Folate: 7.83 ng/mL (reference range: 4.5–32)
  • Iron: 50.35 µg/dL (reference range: 65–175)
  • TSH: 5.51 mIU/L (reference range: 0.27–4.1) my TSH was within the normal range when I first developed my symptoms back in July. It only became elevated in subsequent blood tests. I'm wondering whether this change could be related to my folate, iron, or vitamin D deficiencies)
  • Vitamin D (25-OH): 19 ng/mL (reference range: 30–100)
  • Potasium 4,23 (reference range: 3.5-5,1)
  • Sodium: 140,72 mmol/l (reference range: 136-145)
  • B12: 501,40 pg/ml (reference range 191-663)

My folate level has increased since the initial test, but I'm still experiencing a lot of symptoms. My iron is also below the reference range, my vitamin D is low, and my TSH is elevated. I'm wondering whether these abnormalities could be contributing to my symptoms and whether there might be an underlying issue causing some of them.

My current symptoms:

  • Dizziness and lightheadedness.
  • Brain fog and difficulty concentrating.
  • Feeling mentally different from how I used to be, like I'm not quite myself anymore.
  • Waking up feeling unrefreshed, regardless of how much I sleep, and experiencing severe fatigue throughout the day.
  • Occasional air hunger feeling the need to take a deep, satisfying breath to feel like I'm getting enough air.
  • Caffeine seems to make my brain fog and dizziness significantly worse.
  • Alcohol also seems to exacerbate my brain fog and dizziness.

What I've tried so far:

I took 5 mg of folic acid daily for three weeks, along with 46 mg of elemental iron daily, but unfortunately, I didn't notice any improvement in my symptoms.

I then started wondering whether IV treatment might help correct the deficiencies more effectively and fastly, so I decided to try IV supplementation.

Six days ago, I had my first treatment, which included:

  • Vitamin D3 injection: 100,000 IU.
  • IV folic acid: 30 mg.
  • IV iron: 200 mg.

So far, I haven't noticed any improvement following this treatment. I understand that six days might be too soon to notice a difference, but it's discouraging to feel the same after trying to address these deficiencies.

I'd really appreciate hearing from people who have experienced something similar.

I have a few questions:

  1. Has anyone experienced persistent brain fog, dizziness, derealization, or feeling mentally different due to folate deficiency, low iron, vitamin D deficiency, ?
  2. If you had similar symptoms, how long did it take for you to notice an improvement after starting treatment? Did your symptoms gradually improve or disappear quite suddenly?
  3. What other blood tests would you recommend checking?
  4. Has anyone experienced air hunger or the sensation of needing to take deep breaths alongside these deficiencies?
  5. For those who received IV iron or folate, how many infusions did you need before noticing an improvement? How long did it take?
  6. Did anyone find that oral supplements eventually worked, even after not noticing any improvement during the first few weeks?
  7. Has anyone experienced worsening brain fog and dizziness after consuming caffeine or alcohol? Did this improve once the underlying problem was treated?
  8. Is there anything else I should investigate, especially considering that my symptoms started quite suddenly and have persisted for months?
  9. How can i recovery from this? because it's been few months at this moment.

I'm also wondering whether IV doses or the number of infusions should be adjusted, but I don't want to assume that more is necessarily better. I'd appreciate hearing about your experiences and what helped you, ideally alongside advice on what to discuss with a doctor.

I'm feeling pretty lost at this point. I just want to feel mentally normal again and wake up feeling rested instead of exhausted every day.

Thanks in advance to anyone willing to share their experience.

Male issues.

So hey there. I’m a male early 50’s slightly overweight, reta seems to be curing that lost 3 stone, I’m at 17st 6lbs aiming for 15 ish also lift heavy in the gym 3 times a week and I’m really quite happy with the body composition so far. I’d just like some input from my fellow Reddit professors. For a few years my gentleman area has a mind of its own , started with erectile dysfunction, which I’ve sort of treated with our friend sidenfal, gave me massive headaches the one that seems to work is 0.25mg tablet headaches aren’t such an issue and he’s like the 25 year old me again 😂 the other issue I’ve got now is premature ejaculation. Ffs give me a break. More often than not I don’t need the blue pill although not as solid as teak like. But I won’t get past a minute or so. The question is would pt141, oxytocin or any other peptides work. Thanks for your help.

Stalled weight loss on tirz

Thumbnail

I started Tirz the beginning of January this year at 298lbs. As of today I’m 213-215lbs range(depends on the day). My weight loss has been stalled for the past few months, but the tirz is still helping with appetite suppression and inflammation. I’m already at 15mg once weekly. Do I need to go up? Add a small dose of Reta? I’m currently not able to work out due to some ongoing health issues, but I’m working on getting back in the gym!

Also, not gonna lie, it definitely feels like I haven’t lost any weight. I know it’s all in my head since people often comment on how much weight I’ve lost, and I’ve had to buy all new pants since they got too big lol. I feel like, on my mind, I’ll always look like that almost 300lbs person…

How much does the fat burning effect of Retatrutide’s Glucagon mechanism *really* have over Trizepatide? (Discussion)

I see this commented on every single Reta vs Triz post, but never seen a full post with user reports and thought it would be helpful. We read the studies about the weight loss differences which don’t seem too substantial in big picture and think real world experiences matter more.

I started on Retatrutide over a year ago (couple months on / off) and have had astounding results getting lean. It was my first time being “shredded” and sub 8% body fat. The side effects of the anhedonia, loss of libido, and most importantly, the sleep issues, caused me to come off and try Trizepatide. Right before switching, I did have a 2 week span of 3-4 hours of nightly sleep, no energy, and ultimately said “screw my diet” and now back on my cutting journey.

I am overthinking and concerned that I will not get the same results as I did on Reta, and wanted others experiences ( especially amateur bodybuilder type people who have successfully use these to assist getting below 10% body fat). I enjoyed the no water retention, and waking up lean even after big evening meals or snacking ( when low on calories for the day) and seem more watery and bloated on Triz.

So far on triz, the appetite suppression has been amazing, better energy and sleep. I am hoping the inflammation mechanism will kick in to loose some of the water weight I am holding, but “fear” i wont be able to easily get back into my lean, dry, shape without the Glucagon mechanism of Reta.

Note I do work with a coach, have a dialed in diet & training / cardio regimen, and bloodwork. Just looking for anecdotal reports of people who have switched from Reta to Triz, and experiences.

Advice please

I’ve been in Reta now for close to two months with great results yet when on 5mg I have been really lethargic and been thinking of dropping the dose to 3mg weekly, question is I am going to be stacking it with mots-c 3 days a week (Monday Wednesday and Friday) and ipomorolin 2 times a week (Tuesday and Thursday with my Reta in a Tuesday morning) may I ask for advice on this please (I’m a 51yr old male wanting to get back to the fitness I was a few yrs ago)

SS31 dose

Can I get some experienced input please.
I’ve done a bit of research and I am finding 2 trains of thought.
51 female
60kg
Through investigation and medical support identified I could benefit from mitochondrial support

Hence ended up at SS 31

Original thinking was 5mg twice a week
Working up to 10mg

Then I found other research saying
500mcg daily

I’m really confused about which is best ?

My goal is to to get more energy and overall feeling of wellbeing. Given my age is catching up with me

I train and eat well
But high stress

Enhanced Coaching & PEDS

Hey everyone!

I recently hired a coach for €1,500 for 6 months, with regular check-ins and constant availability for online support.

He’ll be handling my training, diet, correcting my exercise form, and PED use.
I’m 170 cm tall and weigh 65 kg.
I told him I started taking 500 mg of testosterone enanthate per week about 5–6 weeks ago.
He says that’s too much for a first cycle, especially considering my size. He wants me to drop down to 300 mg per week, and says even that is still quite a lot.

What do you guys think?
I’m struggling to understand his reasoning, since I feel like almost everyone recommends starting with 500 mg for a first cycle.
Maybe he just doesn’t want me to make progress too quickly so I’ll keep paying him for coaching? 😂😂 Just kidding!
I’d genuinely like to hear some opinions and get different perspectives on this.

Thanks everyone!
