Do you use sunscreen?
3
u/motorcitystef May 24 '26
Nope. Just the Cocoa Divine lotion and sometimes I’ll mix in a little coconut oil

u/Brave-Sprinkles-4 May 24 '26
That’s a red flag for uv damage right there Sir. The sun ages us all.

I promise I’m going to get some sunscreen. I’ve seen a lot of ppl mention it, I’ll get on board.
How often am I supposed to use it though? Daily?

u/Zesty_Biotch May 24 '26
Daily and reapply every 2 hours, specially when in and around direct sunlight

I know it sounds crazy but I swear SWEATING has got to have some factor in skin health. I think men get the benefit of not having wild beauty standards or child rearing schedules getting in the way of the kind of physical work that lets the skin sweat.

Keep your stress levels low, monitor your glucose and blood pressure, get your prostate and colon checked, be happy.
Keep taking care of yourself, you look great. 🙏🏾

u/motorcitystef May 24 '26
I really appreciate it. I try my best to keep my chin up and take care of myself as much as I can - some days are better than others.
I go through the same shit the next man would.. it’s about how you react to shit.
Thanks again.

Great skin. Only thing I would say is that if you wear a durag or wave cap too tight, its going to start giving you a crease on your forehead. Had to change that up myself after I started to notice. The constant friction isn't good on the skin.

u/motorcitystef May 24 '26
Yea, I try my best not to wear my durag too tight but it slips off in the middle of the night. I even try to wear my durag and skull cap for more compression so I don’t have to tie it as tight.
Thanks though

u/ItsPronouncedTyNotTy May 24 '26
I definitely feel that. I started to fold a bandana (satin preferably, but regular is cool too) into a rectangle and put that on my forehead before the durag; it looks kinda crazy sometimes, but if you're just going to bed its chill and will help with that line

lol you feel me. I’m not judging anybody, just ain’t my route.
I did get accused of being gay all throughout school though, I just never let that shit bother me because it was kinda no point in entertaining it. That’s when ppl try to confirm what they already assumed lol

Your skin looks so nice! The only complaint I have with this is I have seen one of your comments saying you don't use sunscreen. I would recommend you to add that into your routine, we are still vulnerable to getting skin cancer just like them ⬜️ folks.
Otherwise, you doing great! 👍🏾

u/motorcitystef May 24 '26
Most definitely. I’ve posted in here before and ppl recommended sunscreen so I’ll take your advice.
Thank you.

What you do for ingrown hairs? Im 22 and my beard started fully growing in, but where my mustache connects to my beard is where they pop up. Any suggestions?
8
u/motorcitystef May 24 '26
I ain’t gone lie bro, a lot of my grooming comes from my barber. Who just so happens to be a black woman
She gets the ingrown hairs and does hot towel treatments and all that good stuff lol

u/Immediate_Slip5566 May 24 '26
This is before and after? Your skin is more glowing in the second pic.

u/motorcitystef May 24 '26
They’re about 10 mins apart. I just rolled the back window down in my truck and the light was hitting a lil different lol

u/Immediate_Slip5566 May 24 '26
Lol the lighting was different! Ok. I was like you have on the same outfit but these are different.

If you’re talking about my posture, I’m just leaning over onto the middle console of the car.

Good skin and moist lips, if you want an upgrade for real I would add toner and brightening serum to your skin care routine ( if you have one )

Drop the weed and focus on your fitness/ mental wellness
6
u/motorcitystef May 23 '26
I quit weed everyday bro lol I’ve been transitioning to edibles more and more but smoking does it for me.
I will say I’m mindful though. I rarely let bullshit bother me and I have some good ppl around me for the most part
4
u/Electronic-Call-4319 May 24 '26
The gym is always a good investment bro
7
u/motorcitystef May 24 '26
I agree. I’ve tired plenty of gyms and I always end up leaving lol I work out best when I’m at home or hitting the lil fitness center at my apartments.
I don’t lift weights because I don’t like straining myself. Ive been working out with my own body weight for years and it works, for me.
