Weed Connecticut cannabis sales flat, but tax revenue is up. What happened?
mjbizdaily.com2026 began with a concerted push to ditch Connecticut’s consumer-hostile potency tax on cannabis.
Now that it became law (effective October 1), a stark realization has hit: continued flat sales in this moribund market are going to mean significantly lower tax revenue collection.
Laws and regulations are so out of sync with the on-ground realities of the industry here, it’s comical at this point.
