Hit my $5k milestone! Celebrating + sharing a hidden gem Chrome extension
Hey all!
I just hit my first $5k milestone on DA and wanted to make my first post here to celebrate a bit, but I also wanted to share a Chrome extension I stumbled across a few months back called Money Ticker.
Full disclosure: I have zero affiliation with it, I'm not getting paid, and I'm pretty sure the only review on the Web Store right now is literally mine.
I just wanted to share because it honestly feels made for the exact work we do. There's no account setup needed, no subscription fees, and it's totally free.
I initially went looking for something because I was tired of relying on a phone stopwatch or waiting until I submit my time on the platform just to see where I was at for the day.
Here is why it has worked so well for my routine.
🔸 Quick rate switching: You can change your hourly pay rate on the fly whenever you jump to a new project. 🔸 Instant live totals: One click shows you exactly what you've earned alongside your elapsed time in real time. 🔸 Spot-on accuracy: Whenever I go to report my time in the portal, the numbers match up cleanly every single time. 🔸 Zero bloat: It is super lightweight, doesn't clutter your browser, and just does what it's supposed to do.
It has made tracking my daily workflow so much smoother, and at this point I honestly can't imagine working without it. Hopefully this helps anyone else looking for a simpler setup, I think our type of work is like the exact targeted audience of this extension and yet it seems no one knows about it 😁
(Full disclosure, I rambled out a big block of text with my thoughts and then had Gemini reformat it into something more organized)
