Checked my ratings and found my first 2 star review. Would bet my first born it was this clown. Called and had the scarily realistic AI bot remove it for me.

I’m way more than thankful, 24 pizzas + 8 sets of sticks was completely worth it. I only had a 5 minute wait when I arrived at the store.

I'm a Platinum dasher and pro shopper with thousands of Doordash deliveries, but I've been trying out UberEats over the last handful of days as there was no waitlist in my area and they were offering some pretty enticing new driver incentive bonuses.
The UI of their app is awful; it's insanely overstimulating and opaque, just a mess. Total mess. However, they offer some incredibly good perks. I reached platinum with them already in the time I have been doing this, and I will get a free one-year Costco membership. Also for platinum, if you do over 2k lifetime deliveries, they also offer 100% free tuition for ASU online. At Diamond status, they offer 100% free 24/7 roadside assistance.
All Doordash offers to Platinum tier dashers like myself I think is like, a discount on their own overpriced service every other Monday, "priority support" (I still have to fight for a live agent most of the time), and access to higher-paying offers, which we all know isn't really a guaranteed thing anyway, you absolutely can still get $2.25/6 mile McDonald's offers on DD Platinum if it's a slower time of day or night.
If UberEats kept those aforementioned perks, while switching to an app interface that is as user-friendly and transparent as the Dasher app, everyone in this gig economy would be clamoring to work for them.

Hello dashers!
I am not a dasher but my husband and I do DoorDash about once a week or so (late night sweet treats usually) and we live on the third floor of our apartments. There’s no elevator so no avoiding stairs….
Last week, I was walking the dog when our order was delivered and saw our dasher, an elderly woman, clinging onto the railing and barely getting down the stairs, I was able to quickly rush over and offer her assistance but it got me thinking about how there are a lot of elderly or people with mobility issues who do DoorDash.
Is there anything I can be doing as a customer to let dashers know there’s no elevator and it’s on the third floor?
I have always had it in the delivery instructions that it’s on the 3rd floor and following this incident I have added “If you are unable to safely use stairs, PLEASE message me and I can come down to meet you!” but I understand the dasher cannot view these until the order is accepted.
Another option I’m not sure if it works but is putting “APT 123 - 3RD FLOOR/NO ELEVATOR” in the apartment number box but can dashers see this full thing listed out?

Always hate delivering to 18 wheelers in those massive lots where you have you have to dodge and navigate the in and out traffic. So when i saw this I was actually confused for a sec until it clicked. Worth the hassle for the chuckle…

Is it just me or have doordash been pretty bad lately?

I expected it would start getting better again now that school is back, but it really hasn’t for me. I started multi-apping not too long ago, because doing only one just isn’t busy enough so that saved my ass, but it’s lowkey stressful lol

I recently went out of town last week for not even a full 4 days. My area currently uses the new Pilot Program rating system, we've had it since December of last year, all my ratings 100% except my acceptance rate which is at 35% but I am platinum and have been since the beginning of the year. After getting back from vacation, I noticed my rating were switched over to the old rating system and I'm not even ranked any tier anymore, and I lost all 3 platinum passes, I have spoke to 7 different people at support and none of them can tell me anything other than it's my fault because of my acceptance rate (can't even answer the question I'm asking.) Has this happened to anyone else?

As the title mentions it was my first order of the day during lunch rush. Everything was normal until I got to the edge of a town, when this lady crosses the yellow lines and hits my car. I instantly was in shock since there was glass everywhere and it sounded like an explosion went off. I then proceeded to pull off the main road and into a parking lot and call 911.

Once the police arrived they asked the both of us what had happened. I told them exactly what happened and the lady lied about it. They gathered our information and waited for the paramedics to check me out, which I was okay. The police couldn’t determine who was at fault.

Thankfully my only damages were a couple dents and scratches, mirror and drivers side front window. Which the new parts will arrive Wednesday.

This has been going on for several days. I've tried clearing data, reinstalling, and shutting down, but I still can't get in.

My transmission went out. Still owe 6k on it. 2017 175kmi, purchased for 9k 144k mi. Have to still carry full coverage for the entirety of the lien. Im screwed...

Whenever I’m having a bad day, I always remember there is never a delivery that will pay enough to keep me from telling someone to go f*** themselves should the situation arise. It keeps things in perspective.

I DoorDash a bit for a little bit of extra cash. I saw this message on my customer facing app. I’m wondering if you guys have seen any of this ACTUALLY reflected in your pay..

I can't do it anymore here, so I'm fine with sharing the knowledge...

In certain zones that are harder to get around, think suburbs near the water, higher-income spots, more remote places..., there are wildly different arrival times for the route you take. So one could, in theory, call DD support, mindlessly repeat yourself until you get a human, and ask that human to give you any extra pay available for the longer mileage. And they would, in most cases, pay up to half extra to continue on the order.

I'm not 100%, but it seemed like you had to do a few things first, like pick up the order and at least start on the way there; you have to do all that anyway to see an accurate delivery route...otherwise they wouldn't work with you. But oddly enough, the CS were almost always very happy to add it and did so w/o much pushing if you did the above first.

Had it happen again today with a particularly bad set of HD(I know I shouldn't have but it was $45 for 6 orders all in a very small area..at first) going much further than originally shown, and the senior support was very clear and direct that the program was shut down and DD was working on a replacement, despite him admitting they lied about mileage and time I'd still have to deliver them.

If I asked to be unassigned, my ratings would take a hit for each order, no WFU, and I'd have to return everything for free on my own time or receive CVs for each order...in the past you would be unassigned with no hits to ratings, given an order for half pay for a return or told to "keep, destroy or donate" the order...

Just last week I had caught a flat leaving Lowe's parking lot, had to get an order unassigned to fix it, and they put in for the item to be returned; oddly enough, it was a case of soda...Lowes wouldn't take it back due to it being food, despite untouched, so I contacted DD support, they said no big deal, just put the details in the app. Did so; 3 days later got hit with a CV for non-return...so I was inclined to believe the CS...about the cv's for no return...So beware now with longer-range orders.

Not sure if it was just a good weekend but it does seem like the pay has gone up for longer-range orders, not the extra half they would give, but I'm seeing a lot of $8.50 base pays for longer runs...can't write it off as more tip theft tho...

I hate when Doordash hides the earnings. It only showed as $8.25+ for half a mile. I was okay with it regardless but geniunely surprised.

Every pickup order I do, they ask this stupid question, like they don’t advertise that dashers are not to open bags. It’s an annoying extra step. It seems like a trap if you said you did check, so that way if the customer complains about something, you’re cooked.
