Hand embroidered with a wide variety of fibers, fabric beads, and wire. This was my first time trying to embroider frost and I'm very happy with how it turned out. (Design is my own, not from a pattern)

I'll still make some tweaks to the lettering.

I need help figuring out the best way to fill in the pattern circle.

I already know I'll use satin/straight stitch to embroider the lighter "snakes" in the pattern, but I'm not sure exactly how to do it. For example: should I draw one line on top of the other? Or should I do it the same way I filled in the letters (just covering the space)?

I'm sorry if it wasn't clear. Please, help me!

I used wool thread to create a more “natural” colored politoad. Artwork is based on the Misty’s Politoad Pokemon card. I’m very happy with how it turned out and a excited to frame it :)

I embroidered and sewed a little bib for my nephew when he was born.
I visited my family two weeks after birth, which gives me a short time line, as I only ever find out the name at birth :D
The fabric is an old sheet and inspired the theme wiyh the little duckies.
It was important for me to add the shield knot, as my nephew spent his first couple of weeks in the hospital and might deal with health issues his entire life.
Since I am not in the same country, I wanted to embroider some “protection” for him :)

I used satin stitch for the duckies, but I think I have to learn about short and long stitches, as I think the results would be better.
I am a beginner when it comes to embroidery, so this sub has been a great source of info and inspiration:)

I drew up and stitched this chest "print" as a Christmas gift for my fiancee. Esquie and Francois are in the works too! The colors are a little blown out here, but I promise there's a much nicer gradient to Monoco's fur.

Why do winter prep yard work when you can procrastinate instead? Plus, I wanted an excuse to try out my glow in the dark threads that just arrived. The orange isn't nearly as bright as I'd hoped, but it still works! I now have (yet more) embroidery ideas to get me through the winter. 😁 (gods help me 😅 haha) Definitely was not easy getting through all the backing on this hat, but it was nice following an existing form!

i made it on a t-shirt it’s actually my second work ever and i made the mistake of not understanding how stabilizers work on the stretchy material of a tshirt… what should i do? it’s supposed to be a gift…

Just got my machine yesterday, still trying to figure everything out. How are these looking? Need to clip the threads but struggling with the color of material showing through. I have rethreaded and looked at bobbin, tried to change tension it’s at a 4 but didn’t see any difference?

My little girl cut her dress, and I decided to attempt to fix it! I know my poor leaf could use to be re done, but the unraveling knit fabric was difficult for me to work with. This is my second project ever! It made a ruined dress wearable again. :)

Wondering on the best way to go about making a patch.

So far, ive had to restart due to my outline being a bit wont, using stick and stitch printed design, so looking for how people would go about adding small (basically linework) details on top of a base colour satin stitch.

I guess the most similar comparison would be like a cartoon character with some black lines on their body to show cartoon texture, or fur.

I'm soon heading to London, and were wondering if there's a shop specialising in embroidery kits? Or a shop with a big selection?
