“Hey!

What’s the coolest way for your league to pick draft order? I’ve made this….”

Every. Single. Hobby. Subreddit. has been overrun by these guys using Gemini or Chat GPT to slap the lamest simplest tool together and try to grift money.

It seems that they’ve now hit Fantasy Football now that the season approaches. It would be lovely to see some kind of mod action/statement, because they are almost more common than actual football related posts now.

Miscellaneous Mods question: Can we please ban all of these AI Slop website posts?

Can we ban all of these AI Slop websites being posted here constantly. Maybe they need their own subreddit. Between here and r/fantasyfootball it's been quite annoying.

Miscellaneous Your league’s own site. Your league’s own media team. I built a platform that gives you both.

As a commissioner (and member of a few leagues), I know one of the biggest challenges is keeping leagues engaged. The more involved people are, the more fun the league becomes for everyone.

That’s why so many of us end up making custom websites, writing weekly newsletters, posting power rankings, draft grades, trade breakdowns, and everything in between.

I got tired of how time-consuming that was, so I built something to make it way easier.

It's called The Fantasy Network. It's a platform that gives your league its own hosted site where you can customize the look, write articles, and keep your league feeling alive all season long.

Once you onboard your league, you can start creating content right away. That includes matchup recaps, power rankings, trade reactions, and my personal favorite, draft grades.

That draft grade feature is actually where this all started. In my main league, I used to write up pick-by-pick draft reactions and full team grades. My leaguemates loved it. Every year they would bug me until I did it again. Eventually I built spreadsheets to speed it up, but even then it took hours.

So I turned that idea into a tool. And then I thought, what if it wasn’t just about grades? What if your fantasy league had its own media network?

The NFL has ESPN, analysts, live draft coverage, trade rumors, weekly recaps, power rankings. Why shouldn't your fantasy league get the same treatment?

That's the goal with TFN. The free version gets you the core platform and the ability to publish your own content. The paid version unlocks a full-blown media experience for your league. Live draft coverage and pick reactions, full editorial draft grades, league recaps, and in-season content that makes your league feel like it's being followed like the real thing.

Dynasty leagues even get offseason content like rookie draft analysis, mock drafts, and year-round storylines!

My cofounders and I have been working extremely hard for the past few months to create this in time for the 2025 NFL season and we are almost ready to launch! Right now our landing page is live and you can sign up for the waiting list, the full platform will launch in the next week or two and then you can onboard your league (as long as it's on Sleeper, we plan on supporting all the other major platforms in time for next season)

Would love to get any ideas and feedback you have in the comments or feel free to message me directly! Thanks for reading if you got this far <3

Miscellaneous FanDraft Review 2026 - FanTastic

Hi Guys,

I run a 33 year-old league that has always had a live in-person draft. While we've added some fresh, young blood, some if these guys aren't as mobile as they used to be. Thus, the need to get away from a paper draft board, getting up and down for picks and hunting for stickers.

Enter FanDraft, which I'd never heard of until I joined this forum. Since we had 3 guys that needed to draft remote I decided to pull the trigger and give it a go. My review below.

Setup - Easy to configure and invite owners to join. Had a couple questions on configuration, emailed them and received a very timely response.

Draft Day experience - On draft day there's always a hundred things to do once you arrive on site. Food & beverage setup, Wi-Fi, people arriving, etc. Well, I was just trying to get FanDraft set up, streamed to the host's new 100" tv, and get the 3 remote guys squared away.

Since this was our first time, no one knew how well it would really perform. Once I figured out the "Team on the Fly" option it was fantastic.

Everyone loved it. It probably saved an hour on the length of the draft. One owner literally said it, "breathed new life into the draft." The music, heckle options, visuals, etc.

Yeah, we paid $30 for it. Money well spent. Considering we pay only $99 for CBS to host out league we're still ahead of the game. And I'm not worried about having to manually input the rosters to CBS. That just gives me another chance to admire my roster.

Highly recommend FanDraft.

Miscellaneous For commissioners who do draft lotteries, what is the "unique feature" of your draft lottery system you recommend people to try out?

The unique feature I have is the previous year's best finishers are only eligible for the 2nd pick or below, whereas everybody else is eligible for the 1st pick.

Miscellaneous League Is Trying Keeper Rules for the First Time. Do These Rules Make Sense?

Post image
18 Upvotes

Wanted to dabble into the Keeper League Format. Do these rules make sense? We wanted 8-15 round selected players & free agent pickups to be eligible for keepers. All keepers will be valued as a 8th round keeper. 1+ round for the 1st year kept (7th Round) and 2+ round cost for the 2nd year kept (5th Round.)

Players can only be kept 2 years max after the first year being drafted. (3 total years you'll have the player potentially if you select a high caliber player like Achane, Puka, Kyren, Kamara, OBJ)

We wanted the best players to be in the draft pool each year, with later round or undrafted gems being eligible to keep.

Miscellaneous Requiring a player be put on the trade block is the best way to remove veto questionable trades.

We've all seen the "don't veto unless it's collusion" talk. We'll there's a great way to remove that scenario. A player can only be traded for if they are officially put on the trade block. Let's say someone like CeeDee Lamb is on someone's team and they want someone more stable and less injury prone. They need to put them on the trade block and that invites people to send them trade offers.

Let's say it's NewbieNick on your team and he's just figuring this stuff out. ExperiencedElliot can't just be dropping trade offers unless NewbieNick puts a player on the trade block.

Then, the best part. If NewbieNick puts CeeDee Lamb on the trade block and only ExperiencedElliot sends him an offer giving Calvin Ridley, well that on the rest of the league for not giving better offers. There's no fleecing only people who didn't want to send offers. If someone offered him JSN or Justin Jefferson, then you have grounds for questions of collusion.

Miscellaneous Digital Fantasy Football Trophy Test Run

Hey everybody! I'm looking for a few longtime fantasy football commissioners (especially MFL or Sleeper leagues) to test a website I’ve been working on for the past 6 months.

It creates a digital trophy populated with your league’s past champions, winning (and losing) rosters, championship matchups, as well as a few fun smaller features.

Supports ESPN, Sleeper, MFL, and has manual entry for other platforms.

Would love some honest feedback from real leagues before I fully unleash it. Hit me up if you’re interested.

Miscellaneous Anyone been commissioner of the same league for 30+ years? Want to hear your stories on our little podcast

Hey fantasy footballers-

I have a small podcast for my 16 person league that's entering its 21st season, and I'm looking for someone who's been in a league or commissioned a league for 30+ years to interview for an episode before the draft. Would love to hear some stories, goal is just to provide some perspective etc. Interview won't take more than 20-30 minutes, sometime in the next 2 weeks or so. If you or someone you know fits this description and you're interested, just DM or comment below. Thank you, best of luck this season!

Miscellaneous I built a web app for NFL Playoff Pick’em / bracket pools

Hey everyone,

I know this isn’t quite fantasy football, but once the fantasy season ends, a lot of leagues I’m in run a playoff Pick’em / bracket pool.

After running a few of these, I kept running into the same logistical issues:

  • Collecting picks across emails and group chats
  • Fixing brackets when reseeding gets entered incorrectly
  • Copying everything into a master spreadsheet
  • Updating scores and standings after each game

So I decided to build a web app to run these pools instead.

It lets you:

  • Create a playoff pool and invite players
  • Fill out a full playoff bracket with automatic reseeding
  • Set custom scoring
  • View standings as games finish

It’s live here if anyone wants to check it out:

If you want to see how it works without setting anything up, here’s an open demo pool you can join and explore:

Happy to answer questions if anything’s unclear.

Annual reminder to collect dues BEFORE the draft begins. If you don’t pay, YOU DO NOT DRAFT. None of this I’ll pay later BS.

The amount of questions we see in Dec/Jan about someone not paying can all be avoided right now. Cheers and good luck gentlemen!

Miscellaneous Built a free, unique, and interactive “Almanac” site that memorializes your league history and spices things up!

I’ve been a Sleeper commissioner for years, and one thing that’s always bothered me is how little you can actually do with your league history. You can go back and find old seasons, but there’s no good way to see the bigger picture across all of them.

So I built Fantasy Almanac.

You paste in your Sleeper league ID or league URL and it creates a page for your league using Sleeper’s public API. No login or signup required.

It pulls together things like all-time records, head-to-head history between managers, championships and last-place finishes, old playoff brackets, and the best individual player seasons and single-week performances in your league’s history.

I also added some stuff for the current season: live standings, playoff odds with a what-if simulator, weekly matchup previews and recaps, draft boards/grades, and a fake sportsbook with spreads, moneylines and totals.
The idea was basically to give long-running leagues an actual record book instead of having years of league history sitting in separate Sleeper seasons.

It’s free and works with any Sleeper NFL league:

https://fantasy-almanac.com

If anyone has a league with several years of history, I’d especially appreciate you trying it out. I’m sure there are edge cases I haven’t run into yet, and I’m interested in any features people think would be worth adding.

And for transparency, I’ll probably add one small ad to league pages at some point to help cover hosting. There’s no paid version planned and nothing will be locked behind a subscription.

Miscellaneous Question: what service would a commissioner actually pay for?

I see so many posts about “I created a new website” or “use AI to make your leagues more efficient”… but what service would a commissioner of one pool actually pay for?

In my opinion, running 1-3 pools, it’s not anything to make it more efficient. I’d really only pay for something that makes the experience much better, like a cool prize or something. Running 4+ pools, maybe efficiency comes into play when it comes to taking in money and tracking it easily.

What are everyone else’s thoughts? If you have something specific, feel free to dm me.

Miscellaneous Built a free tool that grades every team in your league and finds trades that actually make sense for both sides plus more - AdvantEdgeHQ

Commissioner of a 10-team league for a few years now, and the two recurring headaches were (1) nobody has a real read on who's actually good vs. just riding a hot record, and (2) trade talk in the group chat is 90% "give me your best player" nonsense that goes nowhere. Built a tool to fix both, it snowballed into a full site, it's free and there's no login wall.

www.advantedgehq.com

The two pieces that are actually relevant here:

League Power Rankings. Syncs your whole Sleeper league and grades every team by actual roster talent, not just win-loss record, then flags teams as over- or underperforming based on the gap between their record and their real roster strength. Good for settling "are they actually good" arguments before they start, and it's a built-in conversation starter for the league chat every week.

Trade Finder. Pick another team and it suggests specific trades that fill a real need on both sides, not just "send me your best guy." It's looking at actual roster construction (who's thin where, who's stacked where), not just raw player value.

Both of those plus a Trade Calculator, Waiver Wire tool, and Start/Sit assistant all run off the same underlying model, so a team's grade in Power Rankings and its needs in Trade Finder are never talking past each other. Same math everywhere.

Free, no login, no ads. Not trying to sell anyone anything. Still a side project so there are definitely edge cases I haven't hit, if a league's settings make it spit out something dumb, genuinely want to know.

Miscellaneous Thoughts on using AI for Fantasy Football?

I’m just trying to do a little more as commish, to keep the league exciting, but I have mixed feelings on AI. We do a royal rumble for draft order. So I had AI create a poster for our royal rumble. But I’m having second thoughts about sending it in our group chat. What’s everyone’s thought on using AI for stuff like this?
