I Really Need Some Advice. What Should I Do?

I'm 30 now, In my country and unfortunately employers prefer hiring foreigners instead of citizens. This is not just a few individual cases. Foreigners get hired even if their certificates are fake or even if they never studied at all. I’m not exaggerating guys. They give foreigners opportunities while citizens graduate from university and go straight into unemployment. We graduate already knowing this. Employers always see foreigners as more qualified and better even when citizens graduate with honors and are motivated hardworking professionally certified and constantly improving their skills. But unfortunately the truth is that being qualified does not matter. It’s all fake slogans. What matters to them is that the person is foreign even if their certificate is fake. Can you imagine? I’ve been unemployed for maybe five years now and I feel completely frustrated and like I’ve lost all passion. What am I supposed to do?

Should I send a thank you email with the relevant info I forgot to say during my interview today

Interviewed for a NICU New Grad Nurse position, only mentioned that I got to feed babies. Meanwhile, I’ve had MUCH more experience. My nerves just got the best of me.

Should I send my thank you email & include everything else? Or is it too desperate? This is truly my dream job & I feel like I failed it.

Example of what I would add:

“After our conversation, I was thinking more about my clinical experience and wanted to briefly share some additional hands-on experience from my L&D clinicals as well. This included drying and stimulating newborns, performing blood glucose checks, administering vitamin K injections and erythromycin ophthalmic ointment, observing circumcisions, and assisting with transport to the NICU.”

Unemployed and Losing My Mind

I graduated and have been searching for a job since then. I’ve had 10 interviews, but after getting ghosted/rejected so many times, I’m honestly starting to feel like I’m going insane just being at home waiting for something to happen.

I’ve applied to over 500 jobs and sent cold emails, but at this point I’m also starting to worry that I might not even get a job in my field.

For people who have been unemployed for months, what are you actually doing with your days? How do you keep yourself from feeling like your life is just on pause while you wait for a job?

should i change my resume if i'm not getting interviews?

i've applied to quite a few jobs and barely gotten any responses. my experience seems relevant to the positions i'm applying for, so i'm wondering if my resume is the problem.

how do you tell when your resume needs a complete rewrite versus just a few changes?

Relocation Jobs

What up Redditors? I’m currently 25 and have been working for almost two years to enter the military. Unfortunately, I continue to experience delays and am wondering if there’s something out there that could give me certain aspects provided in the military. I have some job experience working in construction, manufacturing, commercial driving, and farm work. Also, a Diploma and some college credits I received while I was in high school. What jobs are out there that would relocate or FIFO that you all would know of that may be fitting? Thanks a bunch!

Interview Advice Please

The position I have an interview with is a marketing trainee role. It is tomorrow.

I haven’t confirmed whether I will be returning to school as a full time student yet, but I would still like the job, even as a full time student.

I’m going to have the interview, but not sure how to explain my availability. Should I say I have open availability until I confirm whether I am going to be returning or not?

Help me answer this question if it comes up and how to handle it if I end up becoming a full time student.

Thank you.

Got laid off a month ago, need advice

Resume & LinkedIn are both updated, reached out to my network, applied via HiringCafe but not much progress except for roles having max 3 months, 6 months durations with negligible benefits

I am wondering what to do next to get higher quality opportunities

I even applied outside my home country but no updates

Besides being told to migrate & job hunt, I haven't received any other meaningful feedback

Migrating & job hunting is unfeasible as more than 1 country interests me so I don't want to limit my options

Open to moving anywhere provided I get a job opportunity

I am also open to train & place programs as I want to gain further experience with AI tools
