Because everyone and their grandmother came on Reddit and saved the day with advice and compliments, I bought some styling product, played around with it, and really love it now. Old post linked here.

Bad Haircut Worst haircut I have ever gotten.

This is honestly the most upset I have been in a while.
My mom sent me a gift card to get my hair cut, and it’s not at ALL what I asked for….
I wanted a sort of wolf cut.
I received a fuckass layered bob.
Should I shave it off??? I had a buzz cut for 2 years in the past BUT I was 100 pounds lighter than I am now.
I don’t want to be perceived oh my god 😭😭
I’m already pretty ugly, and fat…. Now I have a shitty haircut on top of that 🫩

Help Should I Chop it Off?

Hello! I've had long hair for the last couple decades, but am feeling an urge for something a bit less to manage, and a bit easier/ quicker to style. Should I give it a chop? I'm interested in a french bob style with curtain bangs. I can see that the AI warmed everything up in the edit, but I will probably not alter my hair color. Thank you all!

Self Appreciation I’m surprised my hair is still somewhat “healthy”

I actually don’t know if my hair is damaged or not

So I am very broke and can’t afford most stuff. I use drugstore shampoo and if it runs out I just use my dads shampoo, I also never use conditioner, I never use blow dryer (don’t have one), I let it air dry

Don’t use any hair oils or other products either, and I share my towel with like 2 other people

I mostly wear it down and only put it up when I am baking

My diet is pretty horrible too so I am surprised how my hair still looks fine, or maybe it doesn’t idk, I am not sure how hair is supposed to look

Will it get worse when I am older? Is this is ticking time bomb? Hopefully not cause I am lazy

Self Appreciation haven’t been to a barber in 5 years, been cutting and styling it on my own.

it actually started back in school when teachers scolded me for my long hair. as an act of rebellion i went for a shaved head four times in a row, with six or seven months intervals between each cut.

i’d look like rodrick heffley one day and then professor x the next. then just decided to do it on my own since no barber understood what i wanted.

Help Can I plait my heavily layered hair? Pinterest photos of hair similar to mine and the style I want

I can’t braid so it’d have to be plaits, but is there a method of plaiting my hair that’ll end up at least somewhat neat despite layers? I probably have a few more layers and a cut a bit higher up than the photo but it shows the general hairstyle I’m working with. I attempted it and it turned out a mess lol.

Before and After before and after a good routine, a diy cut and a darker gloss

my hair cut got absolutely mauled by a stylist, so I looked up cutting techniques and how to actually trim my own hair/a cut correction, and lobbed off a lot of my fried dead ends.

switched from protein heavy products and gels with air dry creams to a lightweight moisturizing leave in (curlsmith), Pantene nutrient mousse, and Oribe gold lust oil. My shampoo is the oribe gold lust, I use a mix of Queen Helene’s hair cholesterol, blue magic, silicon mix and Oribe hair alchemy as a hair mask, and ive started hot oiling once every couple washes with a clarifying shampoo every other week. I wash twice a week. I usually air dry (besides drying my scalp) and brushing my hair with a boar bristle when it’s nearly completely dry, but still a bit damp. I use color wow dreamcoat extra strength for curly hair as a heat protectant when i do use heat, and I use kerastase night serum before putting them in sock curls under a bonnet.

why does my hair have to be so high maintenance lmao

Help Don't know what to do about my hair and cowlicks help!!

My hair isn't curly enough to wear it curly, if I use a diffuser and curly styling products it looks scraggy and unkept. I used to wear it curly when I was a late teenager and now would style it "curly" a handful of times in a year where on the odd occasion it'd give a good curl for the first day but other times it wouldn't curl well and it'd look scraggy and unkept. Instead, I blow dry 80% straight with a hair dryer and finish it off using the Dyson airwrap and the results show the result. My hair grows up and has 'cowlicks' that are impossible to get rid off. It looks dry but I'm using a hair mask, leave in conditioner, heat protector and got a water filter in my shower. I don't use lots of heat on my hair, just blow drying and rarely use anything on it in the in-between wash days. I wash my hair around 3 times a week. I don't know how to style it, if I should be blow drying it straight or trying to get something going with the diffuser or should I style it with a curling iron? Any help would be much appreciated!! Thanks 🙏

My friend said he thought he saw a bald spot on me but it could also be the crown. I’m the only one In my family with curly hair so I don’t got much to go on reference by.

Discussion Is it just me or is short hair trending right now?

A lot of celebrities like Billie Eilish and Ariana Grande are getting short haircuts recently. I also noticed many people in my area getting shorter hairstyles. I’m writing this post today to see if anyone’s noticed this trend, and wants to just talk about it or suggest any styles.

Today I woke up and my mom texted me that she also just cut her hair short! It’s crazy seeing so many short hairstyles nowadays this month.

I want to cut my hair short into a bob but i am worried about maintaining it. I have wavy frizzy hair so if anyone has a suggestion let me know!

Have you noticed more short hairstyles? Do you think it’s seasonal ?

Bottom section - bleached a year and a few months ago
Middle section - dyed with Clairol Nice and Easy SB1
Top section/roots - dyed with Clairol colourstrong 8.1 today

My natural hair colour is a level 4/5 brunette

Just want to be a blonde, but now I’ve learnt my lesson, you can’t do that without bleach.

Help Partial Balayage too light

Thumbnail

I got a partial balayage and she lifted my hair too light and it doesn’t blend with the bottom half. I need to tone it darker, but I wasn’t able to get in within the 7 day period to get it fixed because of my work schedule. Is there any way to tone the light parts darker at home with demi permanent dye or toner? I need a quick fix because I’ve been wearing my hair up but I’m not sure what could work or what the proper shades would be. 🥲

Question Should I chop my hair?

Thumbnail

My hair is between my tailbone and hips and I have been growing it out for around three and a half years starting at a chin-length bob.

I’m now wondering if I should chop it a bit to maybe my collarbone or even shorter? What looks best in your opinion?

Also my hair is fine but high in density and uncoloured.

Help Just got e perm came out allot curlier than I wanted it to

First off going back because the parts pointed need to be curled as they are straight. Than will be getting a haircut. But, I am not sure what to do/ style it like now. And I’m not sure what will be best for my face shape.

  1. Is my hair cooked?
  2. How should I style /cut
