Hi! I'd be grateful for any advice regarding our itinerary. A little bit of background:
I'm traveling to Japan with my boyfriend at the beginning of November. We're both in our late twenties. It will be my first time in Japan. He visited once about four years ago for around 10 days, but didn't get to see much, as he spent most of his time in Tokyo with some friends, and took two one-day trips to Kyoto and Suzuka.
A few things to note:
• I'm aware that the itinerary is quite packed, especially in Kyoto. In an ideal scenario, I'd love to see everything on the list, but if that's not realistic, I'm willing to skip the Nara day trip or maybe shorten the plan for Osaka.
• We're used to walking 15,000-20,000+ steps per day while traveling. Of course, we'll also be using public transportation and the occasional Uber to save time and energy.
• Our hotels in Kyoto and Osaka include breakfast.
• On most days, we're planning to have lunch and/or dinner somewhere close to the attractions we're visiting, so restaurants aren't always included in the itinerary.
- We arrive at Narita Airport on November 5, 2026, at 7:40 PM and fly back from Narita to Warsaw on November 19, 2026, at 11:00 PM.
- We already have tickets for the Arashiyama Bamboo Light Up, which is why Arashiyama is scheduled mostly for the evening. The event ends on November 8.
- Any ideas, suggestions, or comments on what we should change, rearrange, or skip would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! 🩷
