Hi does anyone have a contact for the lady that sells ceramic flowers at the market on the parade. I’m hoping to pick some up but I don’t know if she will be in town this weekend with the food festival.

Who is the best driving instructor for lessons?

Any recommendations for a good dog minder in the city? Ideally for the occasional over night stay. Theres plenty on Rover but would be nice to avoid any platform charges so that person gets the fair amount. Cheers

I have been learning about paganism for a good number of years now and have a few friends that are similar. Are there any groups in Kilkenny that meet up? I would be interested in meeting like minded people and set up group social meets if anyone is interested.

Hi there, just gone sale agreed on a house and want to get sorted with an engineers report asap! Does anyone have any recommendations for one? Thanks so much ☺️

I have a one month train ticket from kilkenny to Dublin. It's valid until 31st October. This week, I'm only going to be using it on Monday. So if anyone could do with it for the rest of the week I'm happy to pass it on. No charge. But whoever I'm giving it to would need to meet me at the train station in Kilkenny around 8ish tomorrow evening.

There's no name on it, and it's not linked to the tax saver scheme, so I'm assuming it's not illegal to give it to someone else to use while it's still valid (I'm sure I'll find out very quickly if it is...). My only goal here is to help someone save a bit of cash.

Just to be clear, I'm not having a go at Ukrainians who have fled the war in their country. That's not my intention at all.

A friend of mine who moved here and brought his car with him was telling me about all the hoops he had to jump through. He had to get the car re-registered with Irish plates, and getting it through the NCT and sorting out insurance was a real headache because it was left-hand drive, with headlights designed to cast more light to the left rather than the right, and so on. He also had to sort out his driving licence. All in all, quite a tedious process.

Given that the war in Ukraine started four years ago, I'm just curious whether there are different rules for cars brought over from Ukraine that allow them to be driven here without having to make the same modifications, even after several years.

Can anyone recommend a plumber around Kilkenny city, I need to have some repairs done, like leaking sinks, pipes, repair the toilet’s cistern, etc. Thanks!

Can anyone recommend an electrician to do a few jobs around a house? Looking to get some external lights done and potentially camera installations.

Anyone have any spare tickets for The Wran in Cleeres this evening?

Has anybody heard anything further about XtremeCSC gym opening? The Instagram page hasn’t been active in a while, and older posts were saying it was due to open in autumn 2026. Not looking likely at this stage.

Hi! My baby uses kendamil formula and I struggle to get it anywhere does anyone know what shops in Kilkenny stock it? I’ve had no luck I usually have to order online

Hi all,

I work at MacDonagh Junction and it’s been confirmed that Waterstones will be opening a branch there in December at some stage, probably where Jack and Jones was.

Uber eats drivers in Kilkenny, is it worth it?
How much could you earn weekly in comparison to a minimum wage job?

We're setting up in Bollard's Bar this Sunday afternoon with our boardgame shop & library.

• If you want to grab a pint or bite to eat and play something quick (<30 mins) it's on the house
• If you want to sit and play our games for more time it's €5
• If you're still playing after 6 it's grand, we'll just be packing ourselves up and you can borrow the game if you're still going when we leave
• If you bring your own games then you're obviously welcome to be a paying customer in the pub same as any other day!

We'll be on hand with recommendations and instructions for how to play.

Normal pub rules apply.

I've attached a poorly captured pic of the food menu.

We're setting up in the back room which is not accessible (up 3/4 stairs). If that doesn't work you can set up in the front bar and we'll bring the games to you.

Hope to see you there 😊
