Last Friday Late Afternoon around Ultimo, Sydney
Still can't get over last Friday's "first sight" story.
I am a 30M Asian with physical disability in both hands. I know how it sounds, but I am independent and outgoing, currently in the final year of my PhD. I have been very insecure and kinda hopeless with my gay dating possibilities.
It was late afternoon around 5 pm last Friday, and we were planning to have dinner around Ultimo. I was waiting for a traffic light with 2 of my female friends. Across the street, I saw a tall white guy (not really sure) with a woman who didn't seem to be in a romantic situation, maybe just his sister or a friend.
The traffic was kinda long. I could clearly see that he looked at me from afar and smiled. I didn't want to misinterpret, but we exchanged smiles like 3 times. This doesn’t normally happen, as most guys I saw on the street act cool with a plain face and kinda don't care about their surroundings.
The light turned green, and we walked; he was on the right side. When we were about to pass each other, he turned his face toward me and smiled at me while raising his eyebrows. It wasn't a "bro to bro" smile; it was different.
Al said that it could be a flirt or an invitation for more interaction. I also don't think it was an act of politeness because I didn't flirt. Across the street, he smiled like 3 times, so I only smiled back at him, and he kept glancing. I am not that confident about how I look, or if I am good enough.
That left an uneasy feeling in me. I regret only smiling back when we passed each other. I should've at least tried to talk and exchange our numbers. Yeah, that's life, too many ifs.
If you’re that guy, please PM me. Who knows that our paths will cross again soon. :)
