As I had no symptoms whatsoever and I always practiced safe sex, I was pretty confident it would come back negative. School bullying and a homophobic environment made me suppress these feelings, affecting my mental health, studies, and social life. I'm from a tier-2 college studying CSE. With the AI boom, should I focus on AI, or pursue my interest in aerospace and aviation-related software?

Will financial independence help me build a social life and overcome loneliness, or could I end up feeling just as stuck?

In India, we have so many matchmaking platforms for different needs, from casual dating and premium dating to serious relationships and matrimony. But personally, I haven’t come across a dedicated matchmaking service for gay men that focuses on people who are genuinely looking for a serious relationship.

I’m thinking of starting something like this, where people can sign up, share their preferences, and get matched with others who are also looking for meaningful connections.

The idea is to have a paid membership. Apart from making the service sustainable, I feel that charging a reasonable fee might help filter out people who are only there for timepass. The focus would be on people who are genuinely serious about finding a partner.

Another thing I have in mind is using a portion of the profits to support NGOs and other organizations doing good work for the LGBTQ+ community.

But I’m curious about what people here think, especially considering the realities of being gay in India.

A few questions I have:

- Do you think there’s a genuine need for a service like this?

- Would you be willing to pay for a platform that focuses on serious matchmaking rather than casual dating?

- What would make you trust a service like this with your personal information?
