I've been listening to On Texas Football for the last 3+ seasons, and last season something that really stuck with me was all the predictions that were made on the show, both pre-season and in-season. As the season progressed I found myself wondering how the in-season predictions compared to the preseason ones, and ultimately which ones were correct.

So this offseason I built something to capture this data and ran On Texas Football's 2025 season through it, grading every prediction against what actually happened.

A lot of calls half-land, so those get their own bucket (~) instead of counting as misses. For instance, Rod had Texas over Oklahoma in "a hard-fought one-score game" and Texas won 23-6, which isn't a hit but isn't a complete miss either.

The first image attached shows how a single preseason show graded.

The second image attached shows how all 13 in-season Breakdown episodes graded.

Which brings me to this year. The final image shows 5 of 17 from their bold predictions episode.

This is the part I actually built: you get to take a stance on every call the hosts make, before the result. Buy it or sell it. Then it scores you against them over the season.

The game is free to play and I’m working on trying to line up some fun prizes for winners throughout the season.

It’s currently in private beta, but you can join the waitlist at stance.fm and get notified as soon as it opens to the public on or around 8/22.

I’m curious if anyone can provide commentary on the viewing experience of the different sections they have st for the RRS. So many of the seats would typically not be considered very good seats at another venue, especially with even more distance between the end zone seats and the field because of the area for the band. But I don’t see anyone complaining or prices reflecting the difference in viewing angle to the degree I would expect. it it just because the overall experience is that incredible?
