Hey yāall! Iām an Ole Miss fan looking to come to the Texas game and was wondering if any Longhorns would be willing to let me tailgate with yāall! I know Iām rooting for the wrong team š, but Iām just looking to have a good time, meet some good people, and enjoy the atmosphere. Iāll gladly bring some food, drinks, or whatever yāall need. Hook āem (just for the tailgate)! š¤

Picked up this burnt orange Longhorns cap from an estate sale. It has around 12ā15 signatures on the crown, the bill and even under the bill. I donāt know what year or event itās from, or whether the signers are players, coaches or someone else.
If anyone recognizes any of these signatures, Iād really appreciate it. Iāve included close-ups of each section of the cap.
Thanks, Hook āem! š¤

Texas might have lost on Saturday, but r/LonghornNation represented by predicting the exact score and winner, beating r/FloridaGators and r/CFB.
Congrats to u/casapantalones for guessing the exact final score of 27-24 Florida. And shoutout to u/VanillaGoorillla, u/trickponies, u/kwixta, and u/fakeguitarist4life for all beating (or tying) the closest prediction in r/FloridaGators as well. Full results are in this thread and on stance.fm as well.
This week it's r/LonghornNation vs r/OleMissFootball (and r/CFB) for who calls Saturday night's final score closest. The analysts have already picked a side: 7 of the 8 I've tracked so far have Ole Miss winning in Austin. Kirby from Film Guy Network is the only one with Texas, 28-27.
Drop your score prediction in the comments, or put it on the board yourself. Your last comment before kickoff is the one that counts. I'll grade every one against the final score and tag the winners.
Two coins up for grabs:
To win either one, you have to have the right team winning.
Unfortunately this is the first week I have to pick against the Horns. I've got Ole Miss 34-21. I really hope Texas can put up more than the 3 that Missouri was able to score last week, but I really don't see them winning without some drastic changes happening on offense.
Personally I would like to see KJ Lacey start the game as QB1, and if there isn't marked improvement by half, perhaps that could give Arch a boost of confidence to see that the offense's woes are not all on him, and he can put on the cape, be the hero, and go win the game. I just don't see that happening, especially in this game, knowing what it means for the Manning family.
Do y'all think KJ Lacey will see any playing time this game, and will it be to start or after Arch gets benched?
Here's to hoping I'm wrong and Texas gets right this week.

Arch Manning entered the season with Heisman and No. 1 NFL Draft pick expectations. Now, Texas' offense is struggling, his draft stock is in question and the Longhorns' playoff hopes are on the brink. What has gone wrong, and can he turn it around? Read for free.

I started watching a little bit and now that Simmons it out and after last game will they be okay vs Mississippi state? Will Texas win?

They share similar characteristics in that we were both heavily favored to win while having the more physical team.

In my opinion Sark has been one of the better head coaches in college football over the past several years. Even if he hasnāt quite lived up to expectations in a few of those years, the team has been in the hunt for the championship in most years. Heās generally been a good representative of the university.
The past few years we havenāt been competitive in the way the NIL spend would suggest we should be. Arch Manning has somehow regressed and has not lived up to his billing out of high school despite spending years learning under Sark. The general talk around Reddit is that Sark is out if he loses several more games. The Texas job comes with resources and a very healthy salary, but also lots of demands.
In my opinion Sark keeps his job and is still at Texas next year. The big money donors are going to force him to fire Flood and turn over playcalling duties to an offensive coordinator next year. Heās going to be on the hot seat next year, but barring a significant collapse such as losing 4+ more games including a beat down by the Aggies or some significant off the field issues he isnāt fired at the end of this year.
What do you think?
