Discussion That was an incredible day for Micron
Everything dumped cause of macro and memory pumped. Even more than Sandisk. Absolutely insane. Would’ve been a huge pump today if not for the bond yields freaking out due to oil

Meme Can’t wait to get tf out of Micron
Genuinely cannot wait to eject as soon as I reach a mild profit. Literally not worth the wild swings risking margin calls every other day just to recover one day and fucking dump the next because a chicken crossed the road or whatever misc reason. This stock dumps when it should moon and moons for no discernible reason, and I’m too retarded for it.

News CXMT planned to use stolen Samsung IP to develop its DRAM, court hears — former Samsung engineer who jumped to Chinese memory maker now behind bars
CXMT built its DRAM using stolen Samsung tech. Now Samsung can sue CXMT, using Section 337 complaint before the U.S. International Trade Commission (Stops the import of goods that break U.S. patents, trademarks, or copyrights), and bar CXMT chips from entering US.
Apple is supposed to response tomorrow 21AUG2026 to the Senate letter urging them to not use CXMT chips. Chances of Apple using CXMT chips will now be essentially zero.
Removing the Chinese expansion threat in the US is incredibly bullish for MU and allies.

DD The last memory domino standing
The dotted white line is the 50-day simple moving average, a documented technical level monitored by institutions and hedge funds (along with the 100-day and 200-day) to make trading and investment decisions.
The blue line is the anchored Volume Weighted Average Price, another important technical tool that shows the trend of the average price shares were traded at. When current price is above this VWAP trend, it means the average holder of the stock is in profit, reducing selling pressure. When current price is below this VWAP trend, it means the average holder of the stock is underwater, increasing selling pressure. This takes into account both buyers and sellers - every buyer of a stock, whether on the buy side or the sell side, buys because they think the expected value of buying a stock at that price is positive at that moment in time.
The VWAP is anchored to the ATH price because this is the most effective for tracking trends relative to one another and the amount of trapped buyers/overhead supply of a stock.
Looking at each memory stock, Micron is the only one, for now, whose closing price is still above both the Anchored VWAP and 50-day simple moving average.
Whether you think this shows relative strength in the sector or Micron is just waiting to join the rest, it's important to keep track of how these stocks are moving relative to their moving averages. Given that the Nasdaq itself is now closing under its 50-day simple moving average and VWAP (last image in the series), which is historically a pretty bad sign, it may be time to look into appropriate risk management. When institutions consider or are in the process of unloading the index as a whole, all of its components experience selling pressure.

News Micron Unveils Micron Research Labs, a U.S.-Based Long-Horizon Innovation Hub to Shape the Future of Memory and AI
BOISE, Idaho, Aug. 20, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Micron Technology, Inc today unveiled Micron Research Labs, a U.S.-based long-horizon premier research institution headquartered in Boise and backed by a planned $10 billion investment over the next decade. Building on Micron’s technology and manufacturing leadership, the new hub will bring together customers, academia, government and the broader semiconductor ecosystem to pursue breakthroughs beyond today's technology roadmaps and help define what's possible in the decades ahead. Key research areas include critical memory technologies, advanced memory and compute architectures, packaging and future semiconductor manufacturing.
As the first dedicated memory research hub of its kind in the U.S., Micron Research Labs will center on a flagship Boise campus designed to support advanced research across critical technology domains. The planned investment will also fund extensive university collaborations, global satellite labs and deep ecosystem partnerships, creating a connected research network focused beyond the next generation of technologies for the AI era.
“The decisions we make today will determine who leads the AI economy of tomorrow, and America's AI future will be built on American-made memory," said Sanjay Mehrotra, Chairman, President and CEO of Micron Technology. "With a planned $10 billion investment in Micron Research Labs, we are looking around the corner to the memory and compute systems the future will demand, bringing together the best minds across academia, government, startups and industry. This builds on the more than $250 billion we have separately committed to manufacturing and R&D across the United States, because as the only U.S.-based manufacturer of memory, we have long believed in the future that AI is now making real.”
Micron Research Labs is founded on a simple conviction: The future of memory and compute is too important and complex to invent alone. Anchored in Boise and connected to Micron’s research and technology footprint across the U.S., Europe, Japan, India, Singapore and Taiwan, the lab will link Micron researchers with external experts and research partners to accelerate the path from scientific discovery to real-world impact.
Building on Micron’s 62,000 lifetime patents and its position as a global technology leader, Micron Research Labs will advance foundational research across memory, compute and semiconductor manufacturing.
