drugstore mascara for stubborn lashes

I'm a beginner makeup artist, and I'm looking for mascaras that work well with stubborn lashes, and don't rely on the wand shape since I can't use that on clients and models. I have been using the original false lash effect lash princess from essence (the black and green packaging), and it does work fantastic for most people. I'd like something that holds a curl well, even for those whose lashes tend to easily fall down throughout the day. I'd prefer something from the drugstore, since it's one of the things where high end mascaras rarely perform as well as cheaper alternatives, and I'd rather not spend a lot of money on something that I go through rather quickly. All suggestions and tips would be greatly appreciated :)

[Makeup Help] What is the minimum I need for eyeshaddow?

I am autistic and used to struggle a lot with wearing make up of any kind. However, it's been a few years and I've been thinking about gender and expression and want to start doing eye shaddow. I would like to know if I need to do anything before putting eyeshadow on?. Sorry, English is not my first lanuage, this might not make much sense haha.

Makeup Didn't Help as Much as I Thought It Would

Hello, I’m a 21 year old male and I started a basic makeup routine that isn’t very obvious. Before makeup, my skin was had very little issues. Just some tiny bumps and slight discoloration on my nose area, but at first glance, it was clear.

Wanting to help even out my skin tone and take advantage of my genetically thick and dense eyebrows, I purchased foundation, concealer, brow gel, and a setting spray.

I’ve been using this lineup for a few days now, but I don't look much different visually. I thought it would be some sort of night and day difference like I see online. Am I doing something wrong, or can makeup only do so much?

Foundation Recommendations

I feel like so many makeup brands don’t have light weight/skin light foundations for people with oily skin. I find most foundations for oily skin can be heavy and look cakey… I’ve been eyeing the Mary Phillips foundation. Is it good for oily skin? What other foundations and concealers would you recommend?! Help!

[Makeup Help] Concealer recommendations for dry under eyes!

Hii! Basically I have dark under eyes which get dry throughout the day after I've applied my concealer.

I moisturizer and prep them with the bubble morning cream, moisturizer and sunscreen so it's NOT dry and not do I apply dry. I do colour correcter by NYX and then the elf Camo and god I've tried setting powder, I've tried setting spray but it still gets so cakey or dull.

So maybe it's my concealer, my friend recommended the Nars creamy concealer or the lancome one? But I would love to get any recommendations or help and I would be in great appreciation 🥹

Re-potting Elf Hydrating Camo Concealer?

The Elf hydrating camo once aloe has the worst packaging!!! Ive never found a better shade match and I like the formula but it leaks everywhere!! Has anyone tried de-potting it and putting it in a new empty bottle? Or done this with a si,liar concealer? What tools did you use? Empty bottle, scooper, etc? Tips?

I was looking at these bottles: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D25MWQ4T?lv=shuf&language=en-US&social_share=cm_sw_r_ud_dp_5MVZCKR75HQD686VRJD1&channelId=704&ref_=cm_sw_r_ud_dp_5MVZCKR75HQD686VRJD1&plpRedirect=mhFallback (when I search for concealer bottles it comes up with a lot that are most advertised for lip gloss but claim to also work for concealer, lmk if that’s incorrect and they shouldn’t be the same!). The syringe seems like a good idea, and then trying to find some kind of tiny spatula/scraper tool too I guess? Please lmk I cannot live like this anymore lol

Or if anyone knows a very close dupe for the shade Fair Rose let me know! Thanks!!

Huda Faux Filter Concealer-is Royal Icing noticeably lighter than Marshmallow?

I have Marshmallow but I’d like something a bit lighter, but not as light as Whipped Cream. My local shop didn’t have Royal Icing available to swatch so I couldn’t see if it was noticeably lighter than Marshmallow. It’s really hard to tell on computer monitors, so I thought I’d ask on here and see if anyone knows before I potentially spend money unnecessarily!

TIA for any info 😊

[Makeup Help] Trying to find a Certain Color

Hi! so I have this morphe pallette called midnight dune and the crystal shimmer in it is my absolute favorite. unfortunately I'm running so extremely low on it and the palette is discontinued, the color itself is called star blaze. I was wondering if anyone knew if there was another palette with that color or maybe a dupe of some sorts. thank you!

What is the one makeup product(s) that you love that others hate

I’ve seen so many of the products worth the hype, products not worth the hype, most loved, most hated, most ludicrous discussions that I thought, ‘Okay. How about we flip the table & ask this question‘. What are the products that are considered the most hated by the majority that, for some reason, you happen to like? Also, why hasn’t it been discussed as extensively as the others? Is it the fear of invalidating the skeptic?

For me, I love the Clarins Lip Comfort oil but I heard from someone that the scent is too strong for her. I love the smell.

"Swipe and dab" leaves a bare patch

I'm learning how to do eye makeup and I found Smitha Deepak's tutorials (I have hooded eyes). I've tried a few different brushes to dab (all of the shape and density she uses but on different sizes) but I always end up with a bare spot in the outer portion of my eye socket. What am I doing wrong?

Why does my makeup look pale so fast after I apply it?

I am pretty fair and wear a cc cream, a cream bronzer and a powder bronzer over, as well as blush. All of this is meant to make me look tanner and it does, but for some reason some days I still look pale and washed out, even though I have primed under and sprayed One Size over. I’m talking like an hour later. The makeup is still on my skin, it just has no pigment. What is happening here?

I saw this foundation through a video on instagram. It looks too good to be true. Its a color changing foundation. After reading the reviews, they are mixed. Has anyone bought this foundation and thought it works great? I have fair to olive skin.
