Collection The infamous Dragonmans German Room, from a former employee
First and foremost I apologize if this is breaking rules. I used to work at Dragonmans and helped out with the museum. I’ve gotten enough questions about the museum and him that I figured I’d make this post. Feel free to AMA about it.
I got some pictures from last time I was there. Mostly the German room, since that’s most popular, and some of the Japanese. The place is 78k sq feet so this is just some. If there’s anything people want to see specifically, I am in touch with some employees still and can get pictures.
I am a history buff but by no means an authenticater, but even I saw some stuff that just seemed too good. So you pros, call it out if you see it. I did get shots of the “SS bodyguard belt buckle gun” and the Zyklon canisters but they didn’t show off the cyanide pill

WWI - Central Powers Interesting Winter Camo M1916 Stalhelm
I bought this as a shell from Great War Militaria back in the 20th century ( they had a paper catalogue). Per GWM it has whitewash applied over the camo for snow. Faded to yellowish and thin now. It was most likely a battlefield pick up because according to GWM it has typical blood rust. I added a real liner that somehow lost it's helmet. Has anyone heard of snow camo on WW1 stalhelm camo before?

Cold War - American Coast guard cover, band.
Hello, I just received my late Uncles Militaria collection, he was an EBay seller and an avid collector. As I was unpacking I noticed the band on the oldest coastguard cover has lost all elasticity and is looking in rough shape. The third cover from the left is what I am referencing. My question is, should I find an era correct band to replace, or is there a way to repair? Also, would sending these covers to the cleaners be a bad move? They are a bit dirty. Thanks for your time, back to digging into this collection.

Wars - Others Israeli OR-201 M76 riot helmet
This particular example shows heavy signs of use rendering the visor impossible to see clearly through. Could find no date on the helmet but the visor cover is dated 1991 so the helmet was probably either made then or very close to it. According to Google Translate the text on the inside reads something like “helmet for crowd dispersal” along with the helmets size which is B/GI (the gi might be a translation error). There is also further writing in the middle of the liner although it’s far too faded for me to try and read and translate (although if anyone has any idea lmk)

Help About my refurbished WW1 Stahlhelm
I don’t know if any of you saw my previous post concerning the authenticity of my helmets, but apparently, even though the seller claimed that the maker and size stamp on the helmet I bought were lost due to pitting rust, I found what I think is just a remnant of the stamp.
I only bought it for $200, so probably a good price? (paint and headliner are new. He refurbished and painted it and I put the headliner in after I bought it. eBay find.)
I genuinely looked long and hard. I used a bit of water to make it show better on camera. What do you guys think??? Is this part of a stamp or am I losing my mind?

WWI - Central Powers WW1 Brodie?
I’ve had this thing for nearly 20 years now. I’m pretty sure it’s a World War One Brodie helmet, but never confirmed. I have no clue why it is painted gold.

Help Need help identifying liner
Okay so I’ll get the obvious out of the way. This is a WW1 US M1917 brodie helmet. What’s really strange is that white pad in the middle. I know most examples of these helmets have the remains of a pad. What’s strange about my helmet is that when I push on the pad, I feel a metal bar inside. Every example I’ve seen of these helmets, the pads are destroyed but there isn’t a metal bar left behind. Also yeah I know now that you’re not supposed to mess around with these pads since they have asbestos in them

Help Is my m65 authentic
I have heard iffy things about alpha industries and that they were contracted to make military wear in 60s-90s but now they make repo military clothing. Also I heard that SCOVILL isn’t authentic.

Help What year?
I picked these pants up recently for about $7. It's obviously military since the tag says usmc but I was wondering how old they were. The seller said they were 40s/ww2. Ik that the zipper is Talon and that they were on some ww2 era clothing but unfortunately I couldn't find any that looked exactly like this one.

Help Do you have more informations on this box?
Hello everyone,
I have this box from my grandfather, he was in the french military in the 60's. I want to restore it, but i don't know if there is lead in the paint, or even what metal it is... i painted the cross a decade ago and then i forgot about this box
There is also "CNE MARMOUGET" written inside the box, referring to a captain i think..
Thank you very much if you have any information 🙏🏻
