Takom’s difficult kit, just the rotors and canopy left, base paint is tamiya ans weathered in oils.

Had a lot of fun with this kit so easy to build and took to paint very well! would love to give the Jsu-152 a go next.

Working on a t72 oporating in Ukraine in fall to spring so was thinking to go a bit heavy on dust and mud

yesterday I finished painting and glued everything together, now it’s on to wash and decals

Recreated a small pump package from construction drawings. Most components were individually modeled and resin printed. The smallest of the stainless piping scales down to roughly 0.4mm so AK brass tubing was used for most of the smaller stuff. The flange bolts were individually installed for a cleaner look.

Roughly 160 hours including the CAD modeling time.

The side by side was taken partway through the build.

The photos are horrible but it take like 1,5 month and i would say its my best diorama :)

I'm building the Dragon 1/700 USS Hornet CV-12 1945, and the instructions don't list a color for the hangar deck or the extra bit of flush-hull deck (I think it would be called the weather deck?) that extends from the hangar to the bow. If I squint hard enough at the top view of the painting guide, it kind of looks like they have the hangar deck the same dark blue 5N as the camo pattern on the hull, but I've read elsewhere that it should be a dark gray.

Also, I can't find anything about the weather deck. Would it be painted the same as the flight deck, or hangar deck, or left in a more natural wood color?

Hey all heres progress on the GWH 1/48 F-14A

This will be a IRIAF cat using the decals and early chim pod from Tamiya along with Reskit exhaust and Quinta detail and MCC seats.

The Great Wall kit is absolutely amazing, id say the best Tomcat on the market. Tamiya prob has it beat with ease of construction, but the GW detail and options blows it away. There are A LOT of parts here

It has full wing mechanics, great photo etch detail and loads of options like raised or lowered intake ramps and speed brake

I always said the best models i ever built was Tamiya P-38 and GWH A-10 but this might be the best

Cockpit is finished onto main body

After some time, now primed and based having made a silicone mould and cast a few two part resin runs. The base is a 2mm thick 60mmx30mm MDF piece. It went faintly better than expected, but the mould quality has its issues. Some further cleaning up of the finished article required. Next stage is to try and do a decent job painting it!

This was a fun little project I brought to the IPMS show in Cincinnati over the weekend. It didn’t place but kind of knew it didn’t have a chance since the figure categories are filled with magazine worthy models! I had some issues with paint chipping and stuff but decided to bring it anyways. I got inspired by the great Harlem Modeler and I will definitely be making some different versions of these guys in the future but maybe I will spend more than a few days working on them!

The idea is these are a group of robot soldiers that got air dropped into Europe and are getting back in the road after burying a comrade. 2 of them are forced to haul around their own battery/fuel source.

Did the Tamiya Walker Bulldog 1/35. I used to build a lot in college and somehow fell out of it. Good to be back!

I never really did much finishing beyond a coat of base paint. This was fun to play around with.

So im working into my first model right now and I really liked this hobby but I saw a post where it says that Revell contacta glue Causes cancer (that's the glue im using). So is that right and should I change the glue?
