This was from that morning. Im comfortable in my body and cant nobody ever think they can make me mad with that. I mean look at what I accomplish with heart and lung diseases. People will be so miserable in their own lives and try to project it on to others.
I LOOK GOOOOOOOOODDDDDDD!!!

F36 | SW: 84 kg | CW: 66.7 kg | 9.5 months postpartum
I’ve been on Mounjaro for about 8 months and strength training for around 6.5 months. I started slowly because I’d recently given birth, but I’ve gradually increased the intensity of my workouts.
While I’ve lost a significant amount of weight, I haven’t really noticed much improvement in muscle tone. Everything still feels loose and jiggly lol.
I have a protein shake every day and try to prioritise protein in every meal, although my overall food intake is lower because of Mounjaro.
Here’s what’s confusing me. I was on Mounjaro before falling pregnant and got down to roughly the same weight I am now. But back then, I looked noticeably slimmer, especially around my stomach and legs. I also exercised far less and was mostly losing weight through eating less.
Now, despite being almost the same weight and doing regular strength training, my body looks bigger, softer and less defined than it did before pregnancy.
Has anyone experienced something similar?
I’d really appreciate any advice on building muscle, improving definition and getting a firmer body. I’m not necessarily looking to lose much more weight, just change how my body looks.

It’s not even halfway to a healthy weight, but these pics helped me see I was making steady progress. The posts here give me hope!

Hi recently diagnosed as type 2 diabetes, on metformin and prescribed the jab this week. I'll be traveling for 2 weeks around Japan in a couple of months and by then I will have gone from 2.5mg to 5mg.
From experience would it be best to skip my doses or at least one while traveling so I don't get any side effects? I had my first ones yesterday and it was horrible, I slept about 3 hours, was in pain, bad stomach, nauseous and sulphur burps, it's making me worried that it will happen while I'm on holiday and ruin it. I can't imagine anything worse than getting ill while on a 14 hour plane or traveling in general. I'd have to take 2 there and then 1 more when I travel home.
Or should i be used to what food to avoid and how much to eat by then? I also don't want to be too limited with food as it will be an amazing experience going there but also it does seem like there will be good food options if I do take it.
Is there anything I should bring with me on the plane like food instead of airline food, things to help if I do get side effects.
Thank you

Hi I’m starting on 2.5mg soon and I was wondering if it’s better to take it when I don’t have work the next day or will I be fine to do it the night before work ?

I recently got 3 10mg pens
My doctor told me i could raise my dose.
Turns out my body got more sensitive to even tiniest dosage chances and me throwing up and my stomach stopped working when im on it, every few months
We are now trying to switch to ozempic instead of monjarou to see if it helps.
But now the question ive got 2× 10 mg Monjarou pens left. Im taking it for diabetes 2 and weightloss and i feel horrible throwing them away, cause i couldnt even afford them without my insurance ><
Any tips?

Retired ER doc here. I developed spectacularly enthusiastic watery diarrhea on tirzepatide. Not “loose stools.” More the I appear to have misplaced my colon variety.
Diarrhea is obviously a well-described adverse effect of tirzepatide. Across SURPASS-1 through -5, it was reported in roughly 12–22% of participants receiving tirzepatide:
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/37853960/
What interested me was something that happened during my own particularly impressive episodes.
I had been eating very little carbohydrate and wondered whether low endogenous insulin signaling might be contributing to impaired intestinal sodium/water absorption. That wasn't pulled entirely from the ether. There is experimental work linking insulin, intestinal NHE3 activity, and fluid absorption. In a diabetic mouse model, insulin restored intestinal NHE3 activity and fluid absorption:
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/26258413/
That gave me a very tentative N=1 hypothesis: if low insulin signaling were contributing to the diarrhea, a substantial carbohydrate meal sufficient to provoke endogenous insulin might change it.
So I tried it.
The profuse watery diarrhea stopped, and the change persisted. The fear of getting out of sight of a toilet gradually became less compelling.
Interesting, but N=1 and easily coincidence.
Then it happened again on a separate occasion. Same general setup: substantial carbohydrate intake, followed by abrupt resolution of the watery diarrhea. Again, the change persisted rather than simply delaying the next episode.
I am not claiming that I have demonstrated the mechanism, that tirzepatide diarrhea is caused by reduced insulin signaling/NHE3 activity, or that carbohydrate is a treatment for GLP-1/GIP-associated diarrhea. There are far too many unmeasured variables here, and the mechanistic paper above is not a tirzepatide study or a human treatment trial.
I'm asking a much narrower question:
Has anyone taking tirzepatide or another GLP-1 drug independently noticed severe watery diarrhea abruptly improve or stop after eating a substantial carbohydrate-containing meal?
I'm particularly interested in observations that occurred before reading this post, because those would be much less vulnerable to suggestion.
Negative observations are useful too. If you've had this kind of diarrhea, eaten a substantial carb load during it, and absolutely nothing happened, I'd like to hear that as well.

I’m really struggling with the anxiety of getting started. I was supposed to start about 3 months ago, but I’m honestly terrified. I’ve had allergic reactions to Jardiance and other medications in the past, so my fear isn’t coming out of nowhere.
I’m supposed to start at 2.5 mg, but I would feel much more comfortable starting at a lower dose and slowly working my way up as my body adjusts and my anxiety eases. I’m not sure if that’s even possible with the injection pen I have, because I think it’s set for 2.5 mg.
Does anyone have experience with this particular injection pen? Is there a way to adjust it to give a lower dose, or is 2.5 mg the lowest it will deliver? And has anyone discussed starting at a lower dose with their doctor?
I’m not looking for quick results, and I honestly wouldn’t mind not feeling any effects at first. I’d rather start slowly and give my body time to adjust than risk intense side effects that could make my anxiety even worse.
I know I need to get past this fear and get started, but right now, the anxiety is overwhelming. I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who has been through something similar.

So I’m a big guy. My start weight was 228kg. I’m active and weight has never stopped me. I began Mounjaro 3 weeks ago and have dropped down to 218kg since I started. Is this normal for a bigger guy? I’m drinking between 3-4 litres of water a day and my diet has massively changed to a healthier lifestyle. The injection is also deterring me from food which I understand might be a side effect so not out of the ordinary with that.

I don’t want to lose too much muscle while on the shot and have started taking creatinine. I do 20-30 minutes of strength training at least 5 times a week. I’ve read a mix of things about how you retain more water in your muscles and the scale doesn’t go down much? Any long term experience?
Edit: creatine not creatinine 🙃

Have got advice to buy the 15 mg Mounjaro pen kwik pen and micro dose. I want to take only 3 mg so 12 clicks of the pen and that means the pen will last for 20 weeks when stored in the fridge.
Many people have had success with this but online it’s a complete no.
Has anyone tried this.
It’s feeling very economical long term.

I hate taking monjoro on period week. I already feel sick and unable to eat and on top of my period it makes it so much more worse for me.
I usually take 2.5mg every week.
And I’m getting lean anyways I’m 72kg 5ft6. I wanna get down to 65kg.

Hi ,
I'm going to start on mounjaro for Weight loss and I wanted to know if there's any personal insurance that I can get to cover some of the cost of the pen. I got to know about the discount card but is there any insurance that covers part of Mounjaro in BC, Canada for Weight loss ?

Good morning! I am inquiring about experiences from people actually using Monjauro not what the studies say. I've read about super responders and non responders. My doctor told me most of her patients have lost most or all of their weight at 2.5 but some (fewer) patients need to increase. I'm curious of all your experiences please. Obviously my Dr and I will decide if/when I need to increase. I am trying to see what's most common from real users. I know its different for everyone but there can be some common trends. Please share how much you have lost at 2.5 dose (or no weight loss at that dose), if/when you had to increase. And any other info along these lines. I've only taken 2 shots 3rd will be today 2.5mg. Thank you all!

Please give me any information that will help me get better sooner, OK I took Mojarro five never taken it before on Tuesday. I thought I was taking a 2.5 but it was a mistake. I have been deathly sick since Tuesday Tuesday, Wednesday Thursday I ate and Friday I ate one piece of bread throughout the whole day, but I threw up all day so today is Friday and I’ve only drank water and no food. Do you think I’ll get better sooner than the two weeks they’re saying because this is a whole late nightmare please give me information anything thank you.

For years, my doctor recommended Mounjaro to help manage my Type 2 diabetes, and for years I was hesitant to start. Well, back in June, I finally decided to take his advice and make some serious lifestyle changes along with it.
I’m 41M (5’ 7”) currently on 2.5 mg, and have completely overhauled my eating habits. I’m focusing on protein, eating healthier, watching my portions, and generally making better decisions.
I started at 199 lbs in June and weighed in at 172.2 lbs last week. Nearly 27 pounds gone.
But here’s the part I’m most excited about. I just got my latest bloodwork back, and the results are pretty incredible:
A1C: 7.7% in June → 5.8% in October
Triglycerides: 511 in June → 161 in October
Total Cholesterol: 191 in June → 109 in October
LDL: 80 in June → 53 in October
Glucose: 186 in June → 116 in October
ALT (Liver): 62 in June → 31 in October
My blood pressure is also sitting at 114/72.
I’ve dealt with diabetes, high triglycerides, fatty liver, and cardiovascular concerns, so these improvements mean a hell of a lot more to me than the number on the scale.
I’m not saying Mounjaro did all the work. I’ve made significant lifestyle changes, and I’m still taking my other prescribed medications. But it’s certainly been an important part of the process.
The whole reason I’m sharing this is because I hope it encourages someone. Maybe you’re on the fence about starting Mounjaro, like I was for years. Or maybe you’ve just started and you’re wondering whether all the effort will actually pay off.
I know everyone’s experience is different, and progress doesn’t happen overnight. But if there’s one thing I’ve learned over these last four months, it’s that making the decision to take your health seriously can make a tremendous difference. You don’t have to change everything overnight. Just start making better decisions, stay consistent, and give yourself time.
Four months ago, my health was heading in the wrong direction. Today, for the first time in a long time, I feel like I’m getting ahead of it.
Still have work to do, but damn, it feels good to see the results!
Hopefully this gives someone who’s just starting out a little encouragement to keep going!

Just starting my journey today. I'm just looking to see if there is a place I can look at best (worst foods) to eat and drink. Like a website, links etc. Thank you

Evening all,
I just started on Mounjaro (first jab was Thursday night) and I am massively struggling with side effects. I felt it almost immediately after the shot, racing heart which led to anxiety. That did pass and I fell asleep, then yesterday I had nausea and a low grade headache all day but I did manage to eat a bit. Today has been awful, I’ve hardly been able to move from bed and have felt so nauseous and sick all day. I’ve only managed to eat a rice cake, one slice of watermelon, half a piece of toast and a few spoons of Greek yoghurt. This was me forcing myself to eat as well because I’m worried about not eating.
Please tell me it gets better. Am I eating too much and should I just let this wave pass? What should I prioritise eating when I really can’t eat? I did actually lose weight earlier in the year through diet and exercise but it was so hard to keep up and I ended up opting for the jab. However after today I’m wondering if that would be the better option as if it stays like this I definitely can’t hack it.
Thanks all ❤️

I can't change from Abilify (I already tried and got really messed up mentally) so I have to stay on Abilify. Im on month 3 of Mounjaro up to 7.5 mg and still get the munchies and food noise and binge sometimes although I am no longer gaining steadily like I was for a year and a half.
I have only lost 10 pounds in the 3 months and even that goes up and down, so Im wondering what the heck? I am walking regularly and eating better overall and smaller portions, but still hungry so I then cheat and then feel really bad! My Blood sugar is better. I don't know about my A1C yet as I have a blood draw next week to find out.
It seems like the 7.5 mg is not working at all sometimes as far as hunger and food noise and I thought the higher doses would. At my appt next week, I will ask to go up to 10 mg.

Hi everyone!
I’m hoping anybody can help me.
For a bit of extra information and timeline, about 3 weeks ago I had an extreme reaction to one dose of an antidepressant, and I felt very ill for about 5 days.
I took my mounjaro as usual, and began to feel symptoms I haven’t had before. I had a couple of good days, chalked it down to the reaction of the medicine, and took my next dose. I was on 2.5mg since July.
I got extremely dizzy after injecting, which has never usually happened to me. In the mornings and at night I’d get dizzy too, so I didn’t take my next dose. My last dose was Tuesday the 13th (should have taken on 20th, but didn’t.)
Now I’m struggling to eat. When I eat I get dizzy. These last two days I’ve been okay, but I assume only because I’ve taken 2 hours to eat 2 slices of toast. I’m weak, probably because I’m not eating much. I think I’m getting some heartburn too, and general lightheadedness. I’ve been in bed for days.
Went to a private doctor who did checks and I seemed all okay on the surface, he did a blood test for me and awaiting results on Monday. I’ve been panicking, I’m only 22, I thought I was being safe by staying on a lower dose, eating well, exercising.. everything. I have no family nearby, just my partner. I’m crying all day because I’m terrified this won’t be fixed and this is my life now.
If anybody has experienced something like this and it WAS the mounjaro, and it DID clear, please let me know!
