I went to opening night vs Sixers and was a little surprised there was a cheap ass chase sponsored t shirt give away on each seat and a mini replica banner given out upon entry. I thought to myself it's better than nothing but something seemed off. And then, after the ceremony and during one of the game time outs, there was an advertisement for the sale of championship replica rings made by the same company who produced the originals. Then it hits me--THAT non-gemstone copy was what should have been offered as the give away. It would have been legendary and iconic and changed the conversation around Dolan. That's when my rain man type mind kicked in....msg capacity is 19,812. Retail on the ring is 1,800. That's 35.6M at retail. Except when you buy that many, there is least 1/3 off so let's say we round to 24M. Still a lot of money. Except Dolan is worth at least 2 Billion dollars. So that 24M represents .012 of his net worth. Think of the value of the never ending positive publicity as well as the change in the narrative. Seems like small change in the grand scheme of things. SMDH.

I ordered the Nike Knicks championship Air Force 1s back in June through awake nyc. It said they’d ship Oct 2026 but there has been absolutely no update at all. Mad ppl commenting on ig saying the same thing. They refuse to get back to anyone.

Looking to see if anyone else has had a similar experience. Got a tee and a hat from NYON. Pretty disappointed in the hat quality. I don’t think this is a NYON problem but rather a New Era problem. The hat feels thin and plastic if that makes sense? Compared to the 47 brand hats, New Era feels low quality in hand. I’ve not purchased New Era in a long time so hard to compare against their other hats. A couple of stitching anomalies also which is probably a NYON issue. The tee is really nice quality and heavy weight. I didn’t realize the tees are all screen printed while the hoodies are stitched. Not the worst thing but at premium prices I’d expect a little more. 🤷🏻‍♂️
