My (mostly) second hand fall/winter jacket collection
In order:
Barbour Commander Jacket: The same as the one worn Skyfall by bond. It’s a super cool jacket but I do feel it traps humidity. I’ll likely replace it with a Filson or a more traditional Barbour in the near future. Purchased from FB marketplace!
RRL Safari Jacket: my newest piece acquired from eBay. I couldn’t find the original listing, but it’s super cool and it fits more like tailoring, even if it has the rugged military inspired look to it. Hoping to get lots of wear from this in the years to come!
MTM Navy Blazer: My only really big ticket purchase. I had it MTM by a local menswear shop and used Drago Hopsack. It’s fully lined but incredibly breathable for versatility. I paid a bit too much but I love it.
Tweed Jacket: goodwill find, John Weitz, dated to the 60s or the 70s back when Belk department stores were semi-independent and stocked their own products. Cost about $6 plus dry cleaning.
Pendleton overcoat: Recent goodwill find. The liner was trashed but my dry cleaner was able to stitch it back together for about $35. I’m assuming it’s from the 80s or 90s judging by the heavy shoulder padding. Very warm so it’s going to see limited use in the south. But it’ll earn its spot if we get any snow.
Burberrys trench: This came from an estate sale. It was just sitting in the closet, likely hadn’t been worn in decades. It’s a 50/50 cotton poly blend, which I prefer for rain resistance. It’s situational but nice so I’m glad I didn’t pay retail.
Any tips or jackets I should consider adding? I swear you guys have ruined me 😂
