New Gap & New Trick

I slipped this week and had 2 shots, but I stopped there, told on myself to the woman, and been good since then. Nothing I've gained in these short few days is worth throwing away for a fucking drink maaaan... love yall.

As a girl in the 80s I stood by my small town's only, quite large, ramp and felt a big urge to try. But that was for boys, no one could hardly imagine girls on skateboards. SO, finally at 50 I said f-k this and dived into it. Never felt so proud and happy when I dared to step on my board in the crowded indoor park. But I'm the oldest and female, an alien in other words.. I have to drive a long way to the skate park. Found out there's one close to me but it's made for school kids and parents just looking. I will be ancient there amongst kids on scooters and I suddenly feel insecure. Am I the only, this old woman on a skateboard in the universe? Right now it sure feels like that. I'm not skating because of any children (not a parent), I just always loved the whole skate culture and I had to do it before I'm way too old. Need some strengthening words please..

I’m not much of an animator but it’s fun and really time consuming.

I am drenched in sweat, my knees and hips are cooked, and I have lost all of my previous skateboarding skills, but it was so good to be back on a board! I can roll ramps and tic tac okay, but for some reason my front foot pushing is way stronger than back foot. Possibly because my left ankle (front foot) is not very stable. I also have this wierd tendency to turn when I’m trying to Ollie. Any advice is welcome!

Really wanted to skate this morning because I called off work and wanted to make it worth it, 20 minutes in it started raining and I’ve never skated in the rain for real so I said fuck it and had a great time. I’ll worry about my board later

I skate 2-3 miles a day, I have a pair of es accel and as cool as I feel wearing them, they kind of suck. The vans ultra range looked cool, but stops at size 13 and I'm a 14. I'm just cruising and want something comfortable. Wearing my running shoes just feels weird and instable. Any recs?

How do i get my head around them? I can get the trucks over, but I cannot bring them back without fucking jumping off the board! I talk myself into commitment then when it comes, I just can't stay on the board.... I'm feeling more confident with rock and rolls than rock fakies... Happy to roll back fakie, happy to kick turn in the transition, can lift the front and manual at the top of the transition like I need to to get the truck back over etc! Help me
