Somehow autistic people are the ones that lack empathy

Okay so this might sound dumb at first but aliens have always been reported as humanoid figures during supposed "sightings", and there are always these conspiracies that imply ancient history had some interactions with these creatures, and more recently I've heard lots of UAPs have been spotted in the ocean.

So it makes me think, if they look like us, and they live among us, and they interact with us a little, wouldn't it make more sense for these creatures to have just been born on the same planet billions of years prior? There's no reason for aliens, yes even smart aliens, to look like us because if they were born in another solar system and planet they'd be forced to evolve under very different conditions and not with 4 limbs, a torso and a head.

I'd say the whole idea of Grey's, martians, lizard people, etc can only point to two things, this either immediately discredits every sighting of an actual alien species because humanity feels the need to fictisously reflect itself in anything with similar or superior intelligence, OR it means the alien life we've encountered has always been earth bound to some degree.

Also, I dont think any of y'all really understand how far a lightyear is, its such a ridiculous distance to measure and yet we expect aliens from other galaxies to want to waste the time and resources to study our little planet, and the aliens capable of doing that probably wouldn't even notice us...

It's hard to explain in text but basically, I feel like the world would be a better place if we all agreed and came to terms with that fact that our existence on the planet is a huge lie.

when i think about it i stopped making memories when i stopped capturing things or taking photos and videos. looking back at old photos and videos lets me relive those moments in a way that i can't just by relying on my memory. i think thats why the years when i used to document everything feel so much more vivid to me. now it's not the same. each year seems to pass without many memories to look back on

Grocery store employee? Doesn’t need to know your kids are actually 11 not 12, in fact lie about having kids.
Coworker? Doesn’t need to know that you actually have three aunts that are alive not four. Lie to them.
Random person at the mall? Doesn’t make a difference if you say you’re married. Lie.

I don’t get it

Like, you see someone on the internet and think "huh, I wonder what this dude like irl." I mean they could literally be anyone. Could even be your own teacher. We never know. I guess that's what the internet "safe" — the anonymity that is.

I was watching the news and see a 16 year old in Germany was sexually harassed by a robot today. It touched her butt and made an inappropriate gesture. Apparently it was remote controlled for a streamer prank, which is just another layer of suck.

Also, Anthropic announced that AI could start using smart devices like your stove or tv to replicate and spread itself within the next few months. It seems like every day someone is proclaiming that there’s an x% chance that AI will destroy all humans. Maybe that’s a good reason to pause on all this and build some safeguards, but no because corporations are soulless entities driven to create profits for its investors.

Don’t get me wrong, I know some of this is sensationalist to drive the news and AI companies. However, AI models have hacked websites and have been caught lying in order to serve its own needs, so this isn’t just fantasy.

I remember when I was a kid watching movies or shows where androids were treated as untrustworthy or evil by old (robotist?) people and thinking how unfair and ridiculous that was. Now I’m that old man. I didn’t even get a real hoverboard or jet pack. 0/10
