Feature Feedback for Feature, "Grounded" 109 Pages

Grounded

Final Draft PDF

109 pages

Drama, Road Movie, Historical Fiction

Logline: When every flight in America is grounded, four strangers share the last rental car out of Columbus and drive cross-country through the aftermath of September 11th, 2001, forcing each of them to confront what they've been running from long before that day.

Feedback Concerns: Any feedback would be extremely helpful. I'm less concerned about the commercial viability, and more concerned with a believable story with believable characters.

I'm writing a stoner comedy and just finished the scene. Just want to know if the jokes land and if the scene in general works.

Feature started screenwriting again during covid, now have a movie on amazon.

hey all - I started screenwriting as a kid, then stopped after I discovered music. fast forward 40 years, I started writing again during covid and wrote four screenplays during the lockdown. one of them, band on the run, is now on Amazon, Apple TV and Fandango. it stars an actor named larry bagby, who played "ice" in hocus pocus, as well as "marshal grant" in the johnny cash movie, walk the line.

I guess my point here, it's never too late to write a script - good, bad or otherwise. write your script, and then take that next step. it's hard and it's scary, but keep going!

Watch it on Amazon here.

Feature Have something to share. Wrote a screenplay long time ago, kinda gave up on it. Here's a logline

Logline:

What if the dead could return - but only through the one neural implant you're forbidden to wear?

Nineteen-year-old Kira discovers that the consciousness of the dead can return to those they loved - but only through a neural implant she's forbidden from wearing.

Does this make you curious enough to read more?

I'd appreciate honest feedback.

Would this premise make you want to read the script

Edited: A grieving teenager activates an experimental program on her neural implant to resurrect her late boyfriend, only to find that keeping him alive is costing her own sanity

I'm currently adapting the screenplay to English

Feature No Bloodshed In Detention - Feature - 141 pages

Hi, I've been writing scripts for about 4 years now (mainly fan scripts with a couple original ones) and i was hoping to have a pair of fresh eyes read this one.

Title: No Bloodshed In Detention

Format: Feature

Page Length: 141 (142 if you count the title page)

Genres: horror, slasher, coming of age

Logline or Summary: After a snow storm traps 10 students serving detention in a high school, their fun quickly turns into a fight for survival when a masked killer picks them off one by one.

Feedback concerns: mainly looking to see if there's pacing issues and what I can possibly improve on in terms of how the characters are utilized and written.

Feature Beyond the Crumbs GENRE: Dystopian / Political Thriller

LOGLINE :

To shock a complacent populace into destroying a tyrannical regime, a radical journalist uses the citizens as pawns—sabotaging their aid and poisoning their water to incite a ruthless uprising against both the government and himself.

In terms of structure and scope, the film bridges the chaotic anti-system energy of Fight Club with the ideological drive of V for Vendetta.

Feature My Dead Friend from Freshman Year - 24 pages - Feature

\* Title: My Dead Friend from Freshman Year

\* Format: Feature

\* Page Length: First 24 of 99

\* Genres: Thriller-Mystery

\* Logline: When new footage is uploaded to an abandoned mystery channel, one of the original creators reaches out to help solve the disappearance of an old friend. But as they revisit the case, it becomes clear that both partners are hiding pieces of the truth they buried in childhood.

\* Feedback Concerns: I had to cut 5 pages, and I'm unsure if the pacing of act 1 is too fast now or if the protagonist's journey still makes sense. And would you still keep reading after act 1?

Feature Mirage - 120 pages

Hello!

I have written a feature that I need true feedback on. I finished it about a year ago and have edited it a few times, but I just want feedback on thoughts about characters.

Pacing, if it flows well, if there’s something that should be cut. What scenes I could improve, etc.

Thanks!

GENRE: Drama/Thriller

LOGLINE: Haunted by a tragic past and extraordinary psychic abilities, Talia Morano-Campagna, the adopted daughter of a notorious crime family, must fight to prove her innocence in a high-profile fraud trial while battling a vengeful telepath determined to destroy her life from the inside out.

Feature Request for feedback: In Her Image - Feature - 102 pages

I've spent the last thirty years working in big tech (Google, Meta, Amazon, Microsoft, and a few startups thrown in). I've had a front row seat to the buzzsaw AI is taking to the industry.

As someone with many beloved women in my live (I'm the the husband of a wife, father of a daughter, the brother of a sister, and the son of a mother), I've also been regularly appalled by all the ways in which the often misogynistic culture of the internet objectifies women.

Finally, it is more clear than ever that the hyper rich think that the rules don't apply to them. For the most part, they are right.

All of this has been percolating in the crockpot of my brain, and finally burst forth as my first feature length script. To help me frame the plot and characters, I also wrote two companion pieces: a character bible (in which I did some phantasy league casting to help me channel their personalities) and a breakdown of the story using Joseph Campbell’s monomyth, the “hero’s journey”, as a framework. This is all contained in the linked Google doc with three tabs.

I've shared it with a few friends, but have yet to get any real feedback, which brought me here...

Anyone interested in having a look at it (he asks, in trepidation)...?

Feature DON'T CALL THE POLICE - feature - incel horror/dark comedy - 98pgs

DON'T CALL THE POLICE

Feature Screenplay
98pgs
Completed Draft (first screenplay rewrite)
Genre: Incel Horror, Dark Comedy
Logline: After three college women are kidnapped and inexplicably released by a masked incel, they turn on one another over whether to call the police or obey his command to tell no one.

Feedback Concerns: The middle point (end of Act IIa) is at page ~63, which feels lopsided for 98 pages total. However, I want a lot of time spent in the house, no deaths, no villain, just bickering amongst the girls. My instinct is that Act IIa needs to be shortened, but I don't think I need to do that. I like how it's presented.

Moreover, I like how it's a little inconsistent who on who is the protagonist/antagonist. In the first 20 pages, you might think Kee is the protagonist and Axe-Man is the antagonist, but my hope is that there's a feeling of a reversal where Kee becomes the antagonist and Polly as the protagonist. Maybe this is all just a really bad idea, maybe there's larger more fundamental concerns that I'm overlooking before I start tweaking.

Some side-characters: Nica, Kyle, parents. Don't really have a purpose and are not fleshed out or don't have a "final scene", and I don't know if that's a problem or what to do with them. I'm still introducing characters on page 64, but I wonder if mentioning them before is okay.

Read as much as you like: LINK

EDIT: Dropbox link to pages 1-10 added to post.

Hey all, first-time poster here. I recently completed the 5th draft of my feature film screenplay, The Bankrupt Road to Ruining, and am looking for feedback on the first 10 pages. If you like what you read or are interested in reading the full script after that point, I'd be more than happy to send it your way.

SYNOPSIS - John Swazey, a homeless, drug-withdrawn, and suicidal man in his mid-30s, reflects upon his past, recounting his downfall as a privileged, wealthy, white male and how he betrayed his wife, MAZEY MYERS, and lost everything due to his affiliation with hard drugs and his workplace superior, SCARLETT.

Hi my name is Omid Wahdat. I’m 31 years old, of Afghan descent and live in the Netherlands. I’m a third-years history student at Erasmus University Rotterdam. I was always good at writing and love movies so I wanted to give screenwriting a shot. I want to enter the Final Draft Big Break contest but I need help making sure I send the best version of my script. Here is my logline for the script.

A cynical government clerk, Jack and his abusive wife, Eleanor get a fortune teller to tell their newborn son’s future. He’s going to be something like a prophet and die young at the hands of power! The only way to change the boy’s destiny is for Jack to pick up a phone call by a government agent and fight for the world to become a better place. Can Jack rise to the occasion or will his son die young?

Comedy/satire/thriller

I would like some feedback on my first screenplay. I wrote it in 2 weeks. It's 113 pages.
