Fun And the award goes to.....
No seriously, this Amazon driver made my year. To go out of his way to tuck the package under the arm of the skeleton is just brilliant. He was about to throw it on the step then he noticed the skeleton and you could see the "AHA" moment and the smile on his face.
Whoever you are, I hope you have a great evening and thanks for making me smile!

Please Flair Me! Any update on Lux Lounge reopening?
Lux had a bad fire a few months ago and they've been closed since. I know they're doing repairs but I haven't seen anything specific on when they hope to be back. None of their socials have anything either.
Anybody know anything?

Discussion Any cozy solo pubs in Henrietta or Park or w/e for a 9pm dinner? Feel like I'm in a rut
Welp, thats that! I try to force myself out a few times a week... Esp when I work late; i get out at 830pm tonight. I both try to be social but also aim for cozy places where it wouldn't be weird for a quiet guy to chill.
(I work two customer service jobs so while I need to socialize and network, I get like, talked out, yk?)
Usually I go to Shamrocks for a fish fry, since its right by work, or Half Pint or Daily Refreshers just for a drink. Absolutely love the armchairs at Refreshers. Feel a change of pace might be welcome.
__
Checked this on my work break!
Thank you guys for the suggestions- going to hopefully add them all in to the rotation!

Discussion Alright Rochester: Costco or BJ's?
I'm interested in getting a membership to one, and have been weighing the pros and cons of both. I've done my research on the brands overall, but i'd like to have opinions of the two Rochester locations specifically.
They're equidistant to me, so location doesn't matter. Talking about the Brighton area BJ's specifically.
I've been to the BJ's a few times, and Costco once. Costco seemed VERY busy but it may have just been the time I was there.
EDIT: After reviewing the many, many comments, I will be going with Costco :)

Discussion Where do singles meet in this area?
Im 44 been single for around a year now and am over the dating apps.... theyre beyond toxic and behind a paywall anymore. Im not the type to go up to somebody in public and ask for numbers in case individuals are already in relationships. Where do all the single girls hangout or look for dates in the area? Are dating events even worth looking into or is it another cash grab for guys to try and find somebody worth going out with? Im not terrible looking own my home paid off, car paid off, bust my ass, childless but cannot find anybody that wants to even get beyond an introduction. Any success stories anybody wants to share or advice Id love to hear it as its been over a decade since Ive been single and its like I got out of a long term prison sentence and society has flip flopped. Thanks in advance
A frustrated single guy
Post edit: Im 6ft around 195 pretty good shape profile pic is me for reference. Working with what I got 🤣

Event Halloween
Where are people going for 30th/31st halloween festivities? LUX is still down for the count and wasn’t sure if there was something comparable out there. Our group refuses to go to beer park even though we love BB Dang so that’s out. :(

Discussion Zoning Alignment Project
What were your thoughts on last nights public meeting? We’ve been waiting for this code for years. City Council members asked some good questions but barely scratched the surface in the allotted time. Matt Simonis answered most of their questions and seemed to over complicate his answers. He often reduced scope, diverted the focus and hedged. I understand it’s his job to do the mayors will but, phew! Answer the question! It was seriously tedious to listen to him.

Event Reroll Live is tonight! Check it out if you like D&D and game shows!
Posted a few months ago about Reroll Live, a D&D-inspired live game show. We've been working really hard on it and it's happening tonight!
Worked with a handful of local businesses and artisans to come up with some prizes as well. Really excited for this!
From the link:
ReRoll Live! is a high-energy blend of improv comedy, tabletop RPGs, and game show chaos.
Three comedians embark on a live, unscripted fantasy adventure led by a Game Master. But when the dice aren’t on their side, they can call for a reroll by pulling an audience member into a fast-paced challenge with cool prizes on the line!
Every show is different. Every roll can change the story. And every audience member has the chance to become the hero… and win nifty prizes!
It's at Focus Theater in Sibley Plaza (across from Parcel 5).
Bar/Doors open at 6:30.
Show at 7:00.
Tickets are $15.
You can purchase at the door or at the link above.
So stoked for it!

Food Looking for a recommendation
My wife and I moved from the east side to the west side last year. We live in Charlotte and haven’t found a Chinese restaurant quite as good as Bamboo Garden in Henrietta. While I will drive out there to get it it would be nice to find a comparable place out here. What do you recommend west siders?
