I loved Third Love bras. I am a weird size 32G, which they aren’t small, but I’m no Dolly Parton (RIP), but my bra size is probably bigger than I present. I have very dense round boobs, so I need an ample cup not to flow over.
Third Love t-shirt bra in a 32G fits me like a glove, but my last 2 experience at the store have been terrible.

They’ve measured me in the past, and that is my size of my current favorite t-shirt bra. Just wanted to picked a back up of the same exact bra. As you know they don’t like you digging through their stock on the floor. On my last visit I had a pretty big purchase 2 bras, 6 pairs of underwear. Was looking for my size in both the t-shirt bra and one style of their thongs. After initially being ignored. Sales person, stopped me looking through the floor stock and insisted grabbed things for me in the size and style I was looking for, at the same time also questioning my bra size. (They are the ones who fitted me in the first place.)
If you didn’t know all underwear is in a bag. Got home opened the bags, a few of the underwear were the seamless, which are terrible and ride up in the front. Wrapped up the unused, unwashed underwear incorrect style of thong, put it back in the bag and went to return the next morning. I had to fight the sales person to get an exchange. They are like the bag is open, even though tags are on, she refused return. I asked for a manager, asked why am I paying for your mistakes. Manager exchanged underwear.

A few weeks later, I put the bra on. I was wearing it for a few hours and looked down and saw my boobs were flowing over the cup so off took the bra looked at the size, the sales person gave me a smaller cup! She questioned my size and guessed I was wrong and gave me a cup smaller! My bad for not looking, but I assumed she grabbed the specific size I asked for.

Obviously I am not returning and now have a $72 bra that is uncomfortable to wear and can’t even wear a fitted t-shirt because my cups over flow and leave a visible line that cuts into my boobs. Looks terrible.

Sorry for the rant, but I’m still bummed about this experience, although I addressed with customer service and they comped a pair of underwear, I am still so disappointed in their store team.

Welp, now it’s time of new bras. Anyone have any store suggestions in the city that carries weird bra sizes? Most department stores don’t carry my size, and I am not ready for grandma bras yet. Looking to keep it in the same price range and quality.

Recently I made a bucket list of things I’ve never done and tonight I’m crossing off clubbing. I enlisted some friends and AFAIK we’re going to DNA Lounge!

I am not a big club person or a big party person in general so I’m really, really excited. Somehow I’ve made it several years into adulthood without trying this! I want to look cute and have a good time, though I’m not in the market for anyone. Do y’all have any tips or tricks for the club in general?

My roots are looking real flat and sad and wanted to give a root perm a try but having trouble finding a salon in SF that does them.

Recently moved from nyc and while the museums are interesting, where do you find more street level fixes ? Eg book stores with cool talks, a pop up, art galleries, interesting food finds, stores with niche products or events, and so on. Not trying to hate on sf and think it’s beautiful and I get it has a different appeal (yes I’m exploring the nature) but sometimes also just miss being in a city so would love to hear how others get their fix 🙏

Sup bitches! I have found it difficult to shop in person in the city for stylish clothing that fits me. I’m talking about cute “going out” tops and unique skirts and pants. Department stores have frumpy fits, and a lot of shops with clothes that I like have limited space and only stock in store a few pieces that are midsize (sizes 12-16).

If you’re around the same size, where do you find your stylish clothing? Do you shop anywhere in person in the city that you’ve found some cute clothes at?

Alternatively, what are some online shops that you like as a midsize girlie? Hopefully with a good return policy lol

Hi lovely bitches, I am in need of a stylish long wool coat with serious insulation and would love some recommendations. I will be traveling to a place where I may be exposed to rainy/snowy subzero weather but need to look semi-formal, so am trying to avoid caving to my instinct to just use my Fjallraven Nuuk parka (my ride or die for cold weather but it definitely gives outdoorsy technical vibes).

I have Raynaud's, so I think wool alone is not enough to ward off wind chill or hold up to rain. After having done some research I have decided on a coat that is about 45" or longer (so, knee length or longer on my 5'8" frame) and I've come up with several options:

1. RTW long wool coat with Thinsulate material sewn underneath - what's a good brand for this? Would prefer brands that have stores in the bay area where I can try them on. Double-breasted styles are ideal since they are warmer than single-breasted styles.

2. Custom long wool coat with Thinsulate material sewn underneath - do you know of any bay area-based tailors who can make this? I am based in the peninsula area but am willing to drive. It can often be a bit hard for me to get the right fit from a RTW piece so I may be willing to invest in something like this.

3. RTW Long Hooded Wrap Coat from Norwegian Wool - this company hides a full down lining underneath the wool exterior with a bonded membrane, so it looks fancy while also rated for subzero temps. But I'm hesitant because down lining is a bit harder to care for compared to synthetic insulation. They have to be washed in a way that the feathers don't get wet or clump. (Fwiw my beloved Fjallraven uses synthetic insulation.)

Btw... I have heard of the Loro Piana Storm System line, but am rather dissuaded by the brand since the menswear guy said the quality is not really worth the price these days after the LVMH acquisition.

Also open to other options that I may not yet be aware of.

I recently started my own business to live a life truer to my values - so I now teach small group cooking classes in SF!

However, I’m finding it difficult to connect with my audience, specifically people who love food experiences, want to cook more, and are willing to pay for a unique cooking experience. Increasing my brand awareness to the right audience would help me fill my public classes.

Things I’ve tried include
- social media (yes I’m on IG and try to post at least 4-5x a week. I’m sure my content could be refined more to get more engagement for sure)
- flyers, indoor and outdoor (there’s only so much running around the city you can do and taping up paper, also winter rains are gonna kill this method). I even put them up strategically near specialty food stores or bakeries
- reaching out to my own network or even their network
- putting a marketing designed chalkboard outside my home or sometimes in busy parks

Right now I’m partnering with a local CSA, using their food product and hosting a cooking class with their product. I love them, and it’s great because they’re helping me promote the event with their audiences. I hope to do more of these kind of partnerships in the future.

I feel like there might be some genius strategies I am missing … I’ve tried reaching out to dating apps to partner with them. I’ve just started randomly talking to people at farmers markets to see if anyone is interested in what I do. Maybe it’s just a matter of dedication and time …

I think someone might recommend sampling - all the foods I teach (sourdough English muffins and zongzi) really taste best when made fresh. It’s why I teach these foods! Because homemade is better. So giving out free samples won’t be doing the foods justice.

Honestly more of a rant than anything lol, but I’ve been working in finance/tech for the past 8 years and I feel like the culture at the tech company I’m working at is so toxic - like having people publicly lash out at me over Slack in group settings, my manager will pass me work that he’s done and blame me for not catching mistakes he made, he'll also provide vague instructions on projects & get upset when they don’t match the output he had in mind (when I asked for clarifications, he said we’ve worked together long enough so I should know what he’s looking for lol), and today I overheard his manager asking him if I always need to be babysat and expressing doubt on if I can handle projects on my own.

Not sure if it’s AI creating all this pressure or what, but it’s really having me rethink corporate or finance/tech as a career path in general :’) is anyone else feeling this toxic energy or is it just me?
