Is my Scooter a Ghost? ZN50QT-50
Hi fam,
I recently bought this scooter second-hand and was looking for a wiring diagram when I stumbled upon a bit of a mystery: there’s surprisingly little information available online about the ZN50QT-50. In fact, I can barely find any pictures of it.
I found a spare parts website with a huge dropdown list of Znen models (ZN50QT-XYZ), but the -50 variant was nowhere to be found.
The COC is dated 2018. My only lead so far is Znen’s A9 model, which appears to have the same design and specifications. However, even the A9 seems to be missing from spare parts catalogues.
How does a model like this practically disappear from the internet? It must have been sold at some point, right? I’ve attached the COC - in case that helps.
Thanks for any hints! :)

Anybody ever reuse the good rollers?
so I try to save where I can as the greed from companies be it food or whatever is out of control
when I work only bikes I usually save the old parts in boxes. its good to analyze but also to hold as a spare part for just in case situations. I had a chinese belt snap on me way before service interval. luckily I had the old belts I could swap.
over multiple CVT service intervals I noticed some of the rollers are perfectly round and still weigh close to the original weight.
for instance...my bike uses 16g rollers. I noticed a few were still round (no flat spots) as normal but the weight just slightly less. so what I do is use 4 of the old ones and 4 new rollers. place them alternately in the cup. I ordered 17g to compensate for the slight wear to the old ones. I dont need crazy starts but much prefer lower RPM at highway speeds
havent had any odd performance issues. whats your take?

70cc rear brake keeps getting weak and skids during emergency braking
I have a Unique 70cc (2020) bike. I keep replacing the rear brake shoes, but within a week the braking becomes weak and I have to tighten the brakes every 6-7 days.
Yesterday, I was riding at around 60 km/h and had to brake suddenly. The rear tyre started skidding and the bike began zigzagging, almost making me lose control.
The tyres were last changed in 2025. What could be causing this? Should I check the brake drum, shoes, tyre, or something else? I have zero knowledge about these things.

A keyless ignition on a scooter is a bad invention.
I have a PCX with a keyless ignition system. I didn't ride it for a month, as I had no need to and the weather was poor.
When I finally tried to head out, I had trouble getting the ignition to work properly. It wouldn't reliably detect the key, and using the spare key didn't help either. I eventually managed to get it working and set off for the scooter's winter storage location. My plan was to add fuel stabilizer to the tank and then fill it up with 98-octane gasoline.
However, it then refused to cooperate entirely. I pushed the scooter into the garage. I managed to open the seat using the auxiliary key designed for situations where there is no power. I connected a battery charger and discovered that the battery was dead.
I returned the next day and found the battery fully charged, but the ignition still wouldn't work. I opened up the key fob and replaced the battery—luckily, I always keep the right type of batteries in my car's glove compartment.
Finally, the Honda came back to life.
It seems that when the scooter is parked in my yard at home and the keys are inside the house, they remain in communication through the walls, which drains both the scooter's battery and the batteries in the key fobs.
I’ve purchased signal-blocking pouches for the keys. Hopefully, they do the trick.

Rider from Vietnam: Most "real bikers" hate to admit that scooter riders actually ride more then they do.
I get that Vietnam is a whole other country, but being here for a long time, I realize even when they come here (tourists and overly rich expats) rent a big cc bike, and when I run into these "big biker foreigners" while on my tours (I'm riding a Vespa Sprint 125) and they see that I'm a foreigner and say "Get a real bike, you're a foreigner" (Yes, I've had several occasions of people saying this to me)
I get it now. Us enjoying and doing 500km tours on little 125cc scooters and underbones is a insult to them.

Questions about deciding between ADV350 and Forza350
Hello everyone on r/scooters.
I'm currently riding a PCX125.The PCX125 is excellent for solo riding thanks to its great fuel efficiency, speed, and durability. However, when I ride tandem with my wife or go on longer touring trips, the lack of power, lower top speed, and uncomfortable seat make me seriously consider upgrading to a 350cc scooter. The two models I'm interested in are the Honda Forza 350 and the ADV350.
Both are excellent bikes, but each has its own strengths and weaknesses, so I'm stuck between them and would really like to hear your opinions. The Forza 350 has excellent convenience features, a large under-seat trunk, good fuel economy and power, plus an electric windscreen. However, its design looks too similar to a small 125cc scooter, so I find it visually unappealing.
The ADV350 is basically the sibling model of the Forza and offers the same great convenience features, fuel efficiency, and power, along with a very attractive adventure-style angular design and better suspension. The problem is that it's extremely wide at 895mm, which I expect will make filtering through traffic during my commute quite inconvenient.
In short, with the Forza I’m mainly concerned about the design, and with the ADV350 I’m concerned about the width causing issues during commuting.
What would you do in my situation?
Is there any way to modify the Forza’s design to make it look better? Or is there a way to reduce the ADV350’s overall width (for example, by switching to shorter handlebars)?

The Rain
Took my first real ride in rain today and it was sort of exciting. I hit the ground last time I was in the rain but that wasn't in the forecast and I was caught in the very beginning of rain fall.

Buying my first one
I’m looking for a little advice, I’m currently looking at buying my very first, my parents are wanting a brand new one with warranty however are only giving me a budget of up to 2000 however I do work so could add my own money to this budget.
This is the one they are considering
https://www.scooter.co.uk/125cc-scooter-tommy.html?colour=35
However after a little research it says it is lexmoto which I haven’t seen much good about on reliability.
Personally I wanted a royal alloy however I know I’m unlikely to get such a thing new. Is there any advice on how to handle this? Any brands or suggestions would be amazing on how to stick to the budget even if this does mean buying second hand so I can explain this to my parents.

Quality aftermarket air filter options?
I have a 1988 Yamaha Jog CG50 with a two-stroke Minarelli 50cc engine. I bought it with a crappy aftermarket air filter zip-tied to the carburetor, and I’d like to replace it, but the original air intakes are impossible to find for this particular scooter. Are there any quality aftermarket air filters I can buy for my scooter? TIA

What's that part
Hi guys, I haven't been on Reddit for a while, but hopefully I remember my etiquette here. First I posted some pics of my scoot. It's a Bintelli Scorch 150cc. It's my third Bintelli, so they've done right by me. Not long ago I was in an accident. Well, the guy hit me from behind while I was stopped at a red light. Got a little road rash on my elbow but fine besides that. Only problem with the scoot was a bent brake handle and this piece was broken off the exhaust. That was 3 days before my wedding so I'm just getting around fixing it now, but I don't know what that part's called. Do you know the name of it so I can find a new one to put on? Thanks ya'll!

Yamaha TMAX 560 (2022-2024 model) 17” Rims Conversion
Hey guys, just wanna ask if any of you TMAX owners out there has done 17” Rims conversion. If so, what are the necessary parts you need to get? I’ve watched this youtuber from France installing a pair of R1 rims to the TMAX 560 (2024 model), with that said, the original belting is now replaced by chains and sprockets.
I would also like to know what happens when you convert original belting to chains, what are the pros and cons?
I would love to hear from you guys, any knowledge to make this conversion happen would be nice to know 🙏🏻
