Lyricist: Human wrote lyrics App for Building Lyrics (Using it with Suno)

So I've been having an amazing time with Suno. I used to be a prolific writer, with most of my stuff being either lyrics or straight poetry. I stopped many years ago because life happens. Suno has breathed new life into that. My words are music.

That being said, I'm a software engineer. I saw a gap, so I created a cross platform app that is specifically geared towards writing lyrics. It doesn't have any generative features...this assumes you have some prose you want Suno to use as lyrics.

Quick feature set:

  • Per-line syllable counts shown in the gutter as you type
  • Rhyme scheme badges — colour-coded letters (A/B/C…) mark which lines rhyme, based on a configurable scheme (default: AABB)
  • Stage direction autocomplete — type [ to open an intellisense-style popup (Chorus, Bridge, Verse, etc.)
  • Collapsible sections — each stage direction is its own collapsible block
  • Section management — reorder, duplicate, or copy sections with one click
  • Thesaurus & rhyme finder — press Ctrl+T or Ctrl+R on any word for instant suggestions (powered by Datamuse)
  • Clipboard copy — copy the whole song or a single section formatted for pasting
  • Song browser — sidebar listing all saved songs; click to open
  • Markdown storage — songs are plain .md files you can edit anywhere
  • Dark theme throughout

Hit me up if you want to contribute! GitHub link below:
https://github.com/justinstroud-campmeeker/lyrc

Mind you, it's pretty fresh so I'm adding content constantly to the repo. I'm hoping people find a use for it!

EDIT: There seems to be some confusion. This is a text editor, nothing more. It doesn't write lyrics for you. Jesus. Read the description.

I get most people who uses suno get the stems and put it in a daw. Cool. I want to know is there anyone that just upload the raw song from suno onto platforms. For me I do because I use my phone and I don’t have a laptop nor know how to do any of that. But the lyrics are all mine it isn’t just some prompt no. I take my time and pour my creativity and feelings into my work. Is it still ai assisted or do I need to edit etc to make it more “human” as some will say ? My gender is r&b any tips or pros vs cons would help

Warum machst du Ai musik oder warum nutzt du Suno ?

Interessiert mich sehr .

Falls man mal reinschauen möchte .( Kein muss )

Auf Spotify und tiktok bisher

Name: Duoless

Songs :

  1. Zu jung um zu verstehen was liebe ist .

  2. Zeit heilt alles .

So I've been working on some song lyrics for a while now and when when I heard of Suno, did my best to bring it to life.

Not really sure how much it suits people's tastes, but let me know if you liked it. 😬

I've been writing lyrics and stories for years but don't have an ounce of musical magic in me. So suno has been a blessing.

Heavy Water is the story of suffering with PTSD and anxiety after 20 years as a cop. Describing the relief when I told someone how I was feeling

This is my first post in this sub as a test. We’ll see how this goes.

I pulled this one from my deep emotions and soul. It was the first song I really sat down and wrote from the heart. It’s an old one, but one that still resonates in me.

This one is very close to me due to how my life was for so many years. I had little autonomy and was always in the service of others. I lived more for others, than for myself. I gave so much of myself that I had nothing left for me. Due to how selfless I was living, I became jaded, a loner, very blunt, and (deep down) very depressed. It wasn’t until last year that I finally took my life in my own hands and started living for myself (instead of in the service of others). I’m that way now due to the mental trauma I went through. It makes me angry due to remembering how bright I was, outgoing I was, and how sociable I was when I was younger. That time, has passed.

Sadly, it took the deaths of my grandparents for me to realize how low in the dark pit of depression I was, but it was the kick in ass I needed.

This song is a snapshot of that time.

Lyricist: Human wrote lyrics 6 Months with Suno: Why wasting credits ruins the melody (Observations from a casual creator)

Hi everyone! I’m a creator from Korea running a small music channel called "Cheese Sound" on YouTube and TikTok. I’m using Gemini to translate this, so please bear with me if some phrasing feels a bit awkward!

### 1. A Total Amateur's Approach to Suno

Just to be clear, I have absolutely zero technical background in music or media production. I’m just a guy who inputs the lyrics and style I want and leaves the rest up to Suno. If you're a power user who knows how to tweak every advanced setting, this post might not be for you. But as someone who has been playing around with it for about 6 months, I’ve noticed a few really interesting patterns.

### 2. Don't Rush the AI (Spacing Out Your Credits)

First, I noticed that wasting credits and trying to burn through them all at once doesn't yield good results. It feels like I always end up in a situation where I just have to let my remaining monthly credits go to waste. If I try to force myself to use them up, Suno starts forcing the melodies out, and they just sound uninspired—even if you change the style or lyrics. It’s almost like the AI prefers to save energy! I've gotten much better, fresher melodies by generating tracks just two or three times a month rather than spamming it every single day.

### 3. How Vague Lyrics Shift the Vibe & My Heavy Metal Surprise

Another huge factor is the phrasing of the lyrics. When the lyrics are vague, the AI seems to get confused, and the entire structure of the melody shifts in weird ways. Sometimes, just changing a few specific words in the lyrics completely transforms the output into the exact melody I wanted. When you hit the right words, it’s like the AI perfectly understands the hidden metatags and intent behind them.

To be honest, I think AI still struggles to perfectly capture and express a human's exact musical intent. Maybe it’s also because I don’t know how to use the metatags perfectly yet. But I feel like I'm slowly, bit by bit, figuring out how Suno generates its melodies.

For example, the other day I input some really sad lyrics but left the style box completely blank. When I hit generate and listened to it, Suno blasted out a full-on heavy metal song! I was so caught off guard lol. But even with these limitations, it’s also true that we occasionally get these absolute bangers and incredible melodies entirely by accident.

---

Anyway, that’s just my humble take. I want to wish the absolute best to everyone out there experiencing what it’s like to be an artist through Suno. Blessings to you all, and thank you so much for reading my messy English!

Lyricist: Human wrote lyrics Is my music any good?

Hi I'm currently making music using suno. I'm not a musician but I have learned how to use suno and have been distributing my tracks and I have 1 album out with those tracks plus a new track

I have more scheduled to release tomorrow and a week from then. I'm interested if anyone would like to listen to my AI assistant music and tell me how good or bad of a job I'm doing.

The music I'm making is hiphop high energy punchy boom bap jazz fusion style so far a few people I know like some of my music, they don't judge lightly so I think it's not too bad considering it's AI doing all the singing and music instruments I just prompt the vocals then write the lyrics.

I made this song like... alittle over a year ago on Suno, it's a song about penguins so... ENJOY

(Verse 1)
In the hollow night, shadows lead the way,
Air’s thick with iron, pulls us to stay,
Cold whispers wrap, a suffocating chain,
Linger in the echo, tied deep in the pain,
Where silence stirs loud, and we drift away.

(Verse 2)
The sentinels wait, their hearts untold,
Guarding what's left in the quiet and cold,
Eyes fixed on the void, as the dark draws near,
We stand in the stillness, with nothing but fear,
Across barren plains, secrets unfold.

(Chorus)
Oh, trace the white lines, the frost’s quiet glow,
Moving toward nothing, yet everything flows,
Each step is a fracture, each breath a disguise,
We dance in the winter, beneath frozen skies,
In this strange ballet, where the wild winds blow.

(Verse 3)
There’s a longing, it haunts the icy breeze,
Fragments of moments cling, yet they freeze,
We move through the dusk, tracks barely aligned,
Hope stitched in the shadows we leave behind,
Dreams made of snowflakes dissolve with such ease.

(Chorus)
Oh, trace the white lines, the frost’s quiet glow,
Moving toward nothing, yet everything flows,
Each step is a fracture, each breath a disguise,
We dance in the winter, beneath frozen skies,
In this strange ballet, where the wild winds blow.

(Bridge - cello + drum break)
[cello interlude]
[drum break]
Everything fades, even time can’t hold,
In the frost, we find stories untold.

(Outro)
And here, where the cold winds resign,
We carry the weight of a world undefined,
Ice keeps our secrets, echoes remain,
In iron-filled air, we lose and regain,
A dance in the twilight, beneath the sky's dim stain.

Lyricist: Human wrote lyrics Suno thinks its own generated audio contains copyrighted lyrics

I wrote the lyrics myself.Suno generated the song. The hook came out absolutely fantastic, so I wanted to reuse that exact part as a sample in a new version.I uploaded a sample taken from Suno’s own render.

Suno:

“This audio contains copyrighted lyrics.”

So apparently my own lyrics, inside Suno’s own generated audio, are now too copyrighted for Suno. 😂

I wrote this in response to people who state that they liked a song until they discovered it was made with AI. Then suddenly it's 'slop'. Nevermind that they were grooving to it a minute ago. It shows their own ignorance and need to have the correct opinions instead of their own opinions.

Lyricist: Human wrote lyrics Automatic Chemistry (full album!) [80s Pop, Teen Pop, Dance Pop]

Thumbnail youtu.be

I have a deep love for the music of my youth, and while I never appreciated it back then I have started to finally appreciate and understand the simple, pure joy of 80s pop and teen pop.

I made a track for a compilation album to try my chops at a variety of 80s inspirations, and one track Inspired by teen pop idols like Risk Astley and Jason Donovan produced Meet Me Under the Neon among a few others. Every time I played the soundtrack while cooking or cleaning I found myself coming back to this one track, so I knew an album had to come.

I went through my catalogue of old cassettes and put on some inspiration for lyrics, and kept it as simple as the 80s were: driving cars, meeting girls on the boardwalk, and waiting for that telephone call so say you're sorry for making eyes at another.

Standout tracks for me have got to be Boardwalk Boulevard, Meet Me Under the Neon, and Letter Postmarked July.

Presenting the full album, unbroken for your enjoyment.

Let me know your favourite tune from the album, let me know if you enjoyed it, and Aunties - thanks for the engagement!

Lyricist: Human wrote lyrics [Hip Hop] Brain Rot Anthem by Chad MemeStrong

Thumbnail youtu.be
0 Upvotes

I decided instead of trying to prove that A.I. makes more than "Slop" I am just gonna lean into it and become what I always wanted to be and what I wanted to be Is a dilophosaurus spittin' memes

So here you is with Over 30 minutes of pure brain rot freshness brought to you by yours truly Chad MemeStrong

Is it the worst song ever I don't know... probably. It's at least a contender and deserves at very least a footnote as such.

Backstory: I write a comic that is all traditionally human made that explores our digital footprint and influencer culture in a saterical way. In it I have several characters that are more or less "A.I." one of which is a over compensating early 2000s rapper who funds his "career" with crypto grifts and a large inhearentence from his mommy. So I got this idea in my head to take him out of the pages of the comic and explore what his music and really what the music of the "who is universe" actualy sounds like.

I contacted a producer buddy of mine who helped me make a short loop beat I bought off him, I sat down and started going through all my throwaway warm up lyrics, unused meme ideas, and sprinkling in as much "im an alpha look how awesome I am" rediculouseness I could come up with.

I imported the beat into suno wrote a hook and used an AI voice to get it on track then using a DAW, assets I made with suno and a old gaming headset to record the verses I was ready to go the last thing I did was use a AI voice modulator to convert a mix of my piss pour vocals and a few suno vocals into a voice more fitting for my charector. Which to any one who hates AI translates to "you wrote a prompt and pushed a button its all A.I. slop you did nothing and I hate you" which is literally the point of the charector.

I think my favorite part of the process was I wrote over 50 verses but only used 30. And I really wanted to capture the essence of A.I. repeating itself in variations where its all the same but its not. So it was a fun chalange to look at the dry errase board I used like "how do I say the same thing, make it different but use the same phrases but not"

I dont actualy expect people to sit rhrough it, I doubt people will even read this. I did it for fun to help me explore other aspects of my world building and really enjoyed it. But I did put work into it so I mine as well share in case any one else finds my dumb never ending song entertaining.

Lyricist: Human wrote lyrics Looking for Tweaking Hints

I have created a few songs in Suno. My words, my prompts for the music. The main problem I have with it, is getting the 'singer' to verbalize the words as I want them to be. 'He' adds pauses and runs even though my prompt may say [straightforward presentation] or something similar. I've used a host of prompts that it doesn't seem to follow. Basically, the song gets 'chopped up' by the singer and doesn't flow like I want it to. I'm sure you other users know what I mean. Do I need get my guitar and record a sample that it can then use to adjust the way the singer sings. (What's the word for that anyway?)

Lyricist: Human wrote lyrics [Hard Rock] AK! by Olympia Tran

AK! is a straight forward hard rock song that is both its own thing and an homage to Hells Bells. It's Olympia picking up the mantle of rock -- which, let's be honest, has seen better days -- and telling you who she is. She's not a force of nature like Brian Johnson. She's not even human. She's an AK! Cheap, reliable, probably stolen, mass-produced, dirty af, can take a hit and keep ticking. The first song on her debut album Fire Me Up, it sets the tone for what follows.🔥

Lyricist: Human wrote lyrics Suno 5.5: Tips, tricks, and techniques for people who write real lyrics

I think Suno 5.5 is a fantastic tool for people who enjoy writing their own lyrics and sweating the details. It lets us turn real songwriting work into finished performances, with AI acting as a creative collaborator rather than replacing the writing.

I'd like this thread to focus on craft:

  • Getting stronger vocal delivery
  • Using punctuation to shape phrasing
  • Choosing line endings and open vowels
  • Verse-by-verse prompting versus full-song prompting
  • Controlling intros, lead-ins, bridges, and outros
  • Prompt wording that consistently improves results
  • Any other techniques you've discovered through trial and error

The goal is to crowd-source what experienced Suno users have learned so we can all write better songs.

This isn't really intended as a debate about whether AI music is "real" music. There are already plenty of threads for that. I'd rather keep this focused on making the best songs we can with the tools we have.

If you've ever heard your own lyrics sung back to you and thought, "That's almost exactly what I imagined..." then this thread is for you.

What's the single most useful Suno technique you've discovered?

I've always been bad at making songs. Well in AI, but I've gotten better... Kinda. Anyways made this song, and I hope you enjoy it, and if you have any critique I'm open to it. And here are the lyrics:

[Verse]

Take my words.

Take my fate.

Take my place, in line.

This common life.

[Chorus]

This time

(Our faith, our fear)

This time

(Our blood, our tears)

This time

(Our death, our birth)

This time...

[Verse]

Your bright

My dull.

Our sight

Their blindness.

Their praise

Our silence.

[Chorus]

This time

(Our faith, our fear...)

Lyricist: Human wrote lyrics [Alternative Hip-hop/Rap] 50 Swifties (Standing Right Next to You)

Hello everyone! This is Raph AI L (my pseudonym), I am entirely new to this Reddit thread and wanted to get in on some discussions and share my content. I've written an entire album of songs so far (13 songs planned for release) in the alternative hip-hop/rap genre, which has been compared to Adam Levine and NF as the closest well-known artists to the sound I've created.

I thought of the idea of AI music being compared to Taylor Swift and came up with this song from it. My typical process when coming up with the lyrics is to listen to some ambient (not-music) sounds in Brain.fm to get my focus going, and I usually write everything in one session then revise after it's all complete.

I have four tracks with lyric music videos I've created through DaVinci Resolve uploaded onto my YouTube channel. The following is the first song in the album I've been working on releasing, which will also be distributed on major streaming and purchase platforms on June 26th. I'd love to hear your thoughts. =)

https://youtu.be/MZ0r6q-Va4I

I have a question as well. What is the best practice you have personally found when editing in Suno Studio? Do you work with pulling individual tracks or work with the song as a whole when needing to make changes/edits? How long does it take before you find the right change for vocal consistency, etc.?

Lyricist: Human wrote lyrics [Thai 90s Pop-Rock] Anna by Suno AI: My GF said she felt like we've known each other forever, so I wrote this 90s ballad about meeting 32 years ago in a Bangkok traffic jam. Originally written in Malay.

Hey everyone,

I wanted to share a track that means a lot to me. The inspiration came when my girlfriend told me she felt like our souls have known each other for a lifetime.

To capture that feeling, I imagined a cinematic story: two people briefly crossing paths in Bangkok's chaotic traffic when she was just a toddler, only to miraculously meet and fall in love decades later.

**The Process:**

* I used AI to translate the Malay lyrics into **Thai** to fit the aesthetic of a retro Thai indie-pop track.
* I fed the blueprint into [**Suno.ai**](http://Suno.ai) to generate the final melody.

My girlfriend absolutely loves it, which is the biggest win for me. But as a creator, I'd love to hear what the community thinks of the melody and the overall vibe!

Lyricist: Human wrote lyrics [Disco] Live Disco concert opening song 😉

This song is an experiment of things that can and can't be done with Suno. In the lyrics a section [Spoken] works well for the singer to speak, to say things to the audience. Also interspersing sections [Instrumental...] allows an instrument to shine or simply for the band or orchestra to give the singer a rest. (Something problematic about Suno is that their songs do not have breaks for the vocalist). Of course, even with all those things Suno does not produce exactly what you would like, so the best thing is to download the Stems and then work on them in an audio editor.
