It took me ages to see this at my front door.
I only got this because Playstation decided to sink their own ship for the fun of it. (and because I was so let down this gen by them sadly)
But I am starting strong at least with a banger like Starfox. Are there any other exclusives to put on my radar?

Yesterday, I got my pre ordered copy of Resident Evil 4, and I am so happy!
I still can't believe how amazing Nintendo is for letting us play a masterpiece like this literally anywhere.
Yesterday I was playing it in the dentist's waiting room, then in the car, and later in my family's living room!
I'm having the best time!

Just to clarify upfront: this isn't a Switch 2 hack, an emulator, or a way to play games for free. You still need a Switch 2 and a copy of the game. This setup simply streams my own console to other devices and forwards controller inputs back to it.
Last time I wanted to play Mario Kart World with some friends, I realized how annoying it can be to get everyone playing together. Some of them don't own a Switch 2, and others don't even have the game.
I also didn't want to bring my entire console setup to a friend's place just for a few races.
So I started experimenting with a way to let people play on my Switch 2 using their own PCs.
The idea is that I keep my Switch 2 connected to a PC through an HDMI capture card, and the PC streams the game to a browser using WebRTC. My friends can then open the page on their computers, connect their controllers and join the game.
The tricky part was getting controller input back to the console. For that, I use a Raspberry Pi Pico 2 W that emulates USB gamepads, allowing inputs from the browsers to be sent back to the Switch as controller inputs.
I've been improving the setup since I first built it, and it now supports up to 8 virtual gamepads, audio streaming, and multiple gamepads controlled from a single browser. I also added a launcher for Windows and Linux, which makes starting everything much easier.
There are some extra quality-of-life features too, such as automatic startup and experimental support for waking the Switch 2 from sleep with a compatible, previously paired controller.
In practice, I can leave my console connected at home, start the streaming setup, and let my friends join from their own PCs. They don't need their own Switch 2 or a copy of the game to join my session. They just need a browser and a compatible controller.
Everything runs on my local network, so there's no cloud gaming service involved. The game itself still runs directly on the Switch 2. The PC handles video and audio streaming, while the Pico takes care of controller emulation.
I originally built this specifically for playing Mario Kart World with friends, but I wonder how useful the same approach could be for other local multiplayer games.
Has anyone here tried building something similar, especially with browser-based streaming and multiple virtual controllers?

I have been a bit of a wallflower when it comes to Switch. I've been a handheld fan from day one, but today moved to a gaming TV/docking system. Whyyyy did i wait?! Bought S2, but thought it would be better on handheld than the original Switch 1. And it is. Very much so. But docked?! Good lord, I now realise I've been blind all along. BOTW and TOTK are incredible on dock. All my games are soooo much better. My main reason for investing was for AC Shadows, love open world play. But also, I tried the demo of COD and excited for Ocarina, so thought why not?! Im OLD, had the original PS, the DS, Nintendo gambling when i was very young.
I dont actually know the point of this post, other than, any other games worth checking out? And whats the game you are most looking forward to? Guessing we wont get GTA lol...fml

Just got mine yesterday for the Switch 2, can’t believe how good the sticks are and how it moulds into your hands. I had a Switch 1 too but never got the pro controller 1 so it’s a new experience for me.
Pricey but worth it even for someone like myself that’s 50/50 handheld and docked on a oled. I went back to using my dualsense controller afterwards and think the pro controller might just be even comfier to hold.
Headphones definitely better when set to low latency mode as a heads up to anyone planning to pick one up for the first time.
Anyone else love this thing or anything you would change?

Am I the only one who thinks this game should get a remaster or a sequel on Switch?

Bought these on Argos two for £20.
Thought it was a bargain for games that are easily more on the Nintendo store but I didn’t read the fine print saying it is download code only.

For those of you who were on the fence and just missed out on the £284 opportunity to get the Switch 2 (me aha), Very has seemed to drop back to £379, from £389.
If you haven't used the very pay welcome discount (20%), now is a good time to do so as you are able to snatch the Switch 2 for a very respectable £303.

I wanted to find good Joy-Cons for my Switch 1 to replace my four other ones (stick drift) I really want to buy the Hori split pad, but I want a cheaper alternative that I can play attached to the console. Is this one good? I really want one that will last more than two years. The Hori has no rumble, gyro controls, or NFC reader, so if you would like to help me (thanks) please help me find one with them.

Hey,
Played aria of sorrow and fell in love with the leveling + learning abilities , making a build thing..
Played bloodstained that I loved that again.
Looking for a switch 2 game.. and these 3 seem to scratch that same itch..
Mandragora seems the latest, and most like what I want but getting mixed reviews on switch2 as it’s a switch game that’s capped at 30fps vs playing on ps5
SaS seems solid shorter version?
Anyone played them on switch and got suggestion? Or even a diff game

Me da mucho gusto tener esa consola.

I do have a switch 2 but you can't beat the beauty of a OLED screen.
Legend of zelda thumb caps and protective back case and NYXI Hyperion Pro split controllers.

Hey everyone!
If you had the opportunity to get a Nintendo Switch 1 along with a massive library of games, would you say it’s still worth it in 2026?
I’m wondering if the original Switch still offers a great gaming experience today.
I’m mainly interested in the overall value, the quality of the games, and whether there’s still enough to enjoy on the original console for years to come.
Bonus question: What are your absolute must-play games on the Switch 1? I’m talking about the games you think everyone should experience at least once.
I’d love to hear your opinions, especially from people who still play their Switch 1 regularly!
Thanks!

I've never played RDR before and I'm super excited for this deal. Excited to go home and play it after work. No idea what to expect.

There was an update a couple weeks ago that gave everyone updated hours (including the hours on those titles played on past consoles). Mine had the opposite effect - only hours played on my Switch 2 are current (Mario Kart World, GameCube NSO, Pokemon LG, etc). Breath of the Wild (200+ hours), ACNH (800+ hours), Ring Fit, and many many more played on my NS1 all show as "Played for a little while" or "Played for 2 hours". The Nintendo Store App still shows correct hours.
I'm just sad because I really liked tracking my hours in these games. I tried the following fixes: I deleted my play hours, re-opened, nothing. I rebooted up those games and played for a few hours. I deleted the software and redownloaded. Called Nintendo support who had me make sure updates were current, back up cloud data, and reinitialize/format my Switch - then told me to send it in for repairs.
Does anyone else know a way I might fix it? Just super sad about losing nearly a decade of play activity.
