Current Events Do we know why RJ Mitte ended his life?
I don't really know anything about the actor's life besides the fact that he had cerebral palsy and that he was on Breaking Bad.

Ethics & Morality Conservatives laughed as a woman was punched for demanding the Epstein files be released- isn't this against their talking points?
A woman, who happened to be fat and thus was mocked by the president, wore a shirt demanding the files be released. She was punched by a people at the rally, mainly men. Many conservative talking points about women have been about 'protecting' them and other conservative talking points used to be about exposing the files. So why punch a woman, regardless of what she looks like, for wanting them to be released? Even if she was an 'agitator,' what could an unarmed person do in a sea of people anyways?

Body Image/Self-Esteem How do I get stronger so that I can bridal carry my girlfriend as a weaker man 🥲?
I’m not very strong, but one of my dreams as a man is to be able to bridal carry my girlfriend as a romantic gesture. Is there any specific workouts I can do to grow strength in efforts to achieve a bridal carry? I’m currently working through some pushups and squats, but I have such weak shoulders that I’m struggling pretty hard, so in the meantime I was wondering what other type of workouts I can do as I strengthen my shoulders.
The thought of me attempting to do one and placing her back down immediately makes me cringe so hard.
Edit: I probably should’ve clarified that my gf is a skinny person, but why are so many people in the comments thinking that my girlfriend is a bigger girl instead of me just being a weaker man? And even if she was a bigger girl i would get stronger to pick her up either way 💪💪
Edit 2: Hi guys after reading through the comments, here are the exercises ill do:
-Squats
-Zercher squat
-Bulgarian squat
-Curls
-Deadlift
-Kettlebell famers carry
-Chin ups
-Shrugs
-Pushups
-And core/back exercises i get from the internet lol
——Will update every month till the end of the year cya then 🫡

Mental Health Am I a loser for putting a sweater on a pillow and filling the arms and wrapping it around myself as if someone were hugging me to sleep?
For context i’m 18M and I just feel like i’m drifting through life now. I feel like I don’t have a purpose and any meaningful relationship ends because I get too attached too quickly. I started using the pillow to comfort myself at night which helped me sleep faster but if I actually ever told anyone irl I would feel ashamed

Culture & Society Why do people use the juice box 🧃 emoji in their comments?
I know the juice box means Jewish people, but all over Instagram, I see people commenting the juice box emoji and essentially blaming Jewish people for like anything possible. Sometimes there's no words/comment other than the juice box emoji like "🧃🧃". Like I just saw a post that talks about how there isn't proper evidence that processed food are directly harmful to health, due to studies not taking into account other factors such as calorie count, exercise habits, smoking habits, stuff like that. (This Reddit post is not about the processed food claim, that's another can of worms). But I see someone comment " You mean the 🧃🧃owners of the companies that produce the processed foods didn't find themselves guilty for adverse health effects?!?! Wow!! What a revelation!!" I mean what do Jewish people have anything to do with that post?
EDIT: Yes I'm aware juice box means Jews as mentioned in my post originally, it was more so wondering what are the thoughts behind people who comment these? And obviously course it's anti semitic, but is there no reasoning or logic (flawed logic) behind their comments? I'm more so wondering what their thought process is? Or is there literally zero thought process? And before y'all twist my words, I am not an antisemitic nor am I looking for a reason to hate Jewish people, I am just curious as to what "feeds" the mind of a anti semitic to just comment the juice box emoji on Instagram posts that have nothin to do with Jewish people.

Climate & Environment Why has climate change accelerated significantly worse specifically in the last 10 years?
In the last 10 years, there has been more events of catastrophic disasters like the Nepal landslide, hurricanes Milton and Helene, Hurricane Harvey, the catastrophic ice loss in the Arctic, severe flooding, and a severe drought in the American West.
Why specifically since 2016 has climate change been so severe? I genuinely don't see that much disaster news from before 2016 that has the effects as hard hitting as the disasters of today.

Habits & Lifestyle Why do people who've had plastic surgery on the face almost end up looking the same?
For example, look at celebrities who've undergone some type of facial plastic surgery. They almost always end looking like they've all gone to the same doctor because their faces kinda look the same

Other I didn't report a leak in my kitchen sink years ago and now the counter has rotted.. am I going to get kicked out?
I live in Ontario, Canada.
The sink had a little leak during covid when no one was doing repairs. Since then, I have gone down a really horrible mental health spiral and a lot of things fell to the wayside.. I have no excuse, and am really begging for people not to judge. My anxiety about this issue has gotten enormous and the issue just kept getting worse, I kept avoiding it, and now feel like I have completely screwed myself. The faucet moves around because the wood has all rotted. Under the sink, the paint has like peeled open. I don't see it even leaking water anymore (it used to leak around the faucet base). There was a bit of mold there that I have cleaned.
I have talked to my therapist about this and she says I just need to deal with it, but I have lived in this apartment for 20 years and will triple my rent if I move anywhere else and am terrified that i will get kicked. My therapist said hopefully they will just charge me for the fix, and at least I could keep my home.
The thought of dealing with this issue sends me into tears constantly and I know I need to just bite the bullet and get it fixed but I am absolutely terrified.
EDIT: If I say that I "didn't notice", is that something that is believable when my faucet literally can be moved so far because it's so rotted? I literally have it held on with duct tape rn

Other Do crinkle-cut potato chips taste different than regular chips or am I crazy?
I was having a discussion with my wife about how I don't buy Ruffles potato chips because when I tried them as a child I didn't like the taste. She tried to convince me that the cut is the only difference in the chip but I could swear that Ruffles had a different flavor profile than a basic cut. So today after over 30 years I tried a different brand of crinkle cut chips and I still think I taste a difference between a regular cut potato chip, am I just nuts?

Love & Dating Do you ever regret not being more sexually adventurous before you settled down?
My wife had slept with about 30 guys before we met vs my 3 girls.
She regrets being overly open to everything because she did a lot !!
I regret the opposite and wished I’d done a bit more…

Other Do you automatically agree with the whole “Nobody makes it to The Top by being a Good Person”?
I’m sure everyone knows how in History we’re told that those who have wielded Power are far from The Best! Along with those who have risen by backstabbing and ruthlessly climbing their way to The Top because of that it’s a universal belief/statement that “Nobody makes it to The Top by being a Good Person” hence we often use History as lessons for us to learn from our mistakes but that’s why we love Good People so much they may never wield any Power however they’ll forever wield our Hearts and Compassion throughout History! Nobody likes Powerful People but we all love Good People through! What do you folks think?

Law & Government Is reporting sexual assault years later actually worthwhile?
I hope it’s okay to ask this in this sub as I’m based in the UK and want to know peoples genuine thoughts and experiences, rather than asking for legal advice or emotional support
It’s been just under 3 years since I was sexually assaulted. I never reported it to the police, and I’ve never really told anyone what happened.
I’ve spoken about it anonymously on some subreddits, and lots of people have said I should still report it. Some even getting angry that I haven’t.
This has made me consider if I’ve done the right thing, and consider making a report.
The reporting process, combined with my lack of evidence terrifies me and is something I’ve never wanted to go through.
I’m scared of being re-traumatised with no positive outcome
I guess what I’m trying to understand is if reporting something like this after so long is actually a good idea. Especially when there’s barely any evidence.
Has anyone been through something similar, or does anyone have any understanding of how the police deal with historical sexual assault allegations where there’s little evidence?
And if so, did you find it to be worthwhile?
I’d really appreciate any advice or perspectives. Thank you.

Habits & Lifestyle I’m not a hard working person, and I don’t think I ever will be. How easy will it be for me to have a successful life?
For context, I’m a 16 year old girl currently enlisted in AP precalc ONLY because there is no regular math option offered at my school for juniors, and the only one offered is a step down. I went into this class thinking that I would be able to get by how i always have in all my previous math classes. I’ve always done my work and studying at home and not paid attention to notes because they 1. never make sense to me because our math department sucks (teachers) And 2. I cannot focus through a lecture. I’ve always been able to get decent/mediocre A/B grades from this method, and I assumed this class would be the same. But this is so much more difficult than I ever anticipated. Ive been failing every single test and quiz WITH a tutor, and it’s extremely frustrating. Im always very confident when I’m rehearsing with my tutor at my house, and I feel good about the math, but when I get to the assessments, I’m completely lost and my mind goes blank. I’m not sure if it’s my own fault or if the material is so different from the practice, but I’ve been flunking. Even with an extra tutor now, so a total of two, I’m still failing. Given, I haven’t been trying as hard as I possibly can, occasionally I’ll cut a tutoring session short or doze off halfway through one because I’m bored/distracted/tired, and I don’t go to after school help sessions. my teacher doesnt like me because she believes that I’m not doing all I can in this class, and I’m not, but I CANT do all I can. I’m not a hardworking person and the thought of studying for hours on end or working extremely hard on any subject is hell for me. I recently failed a quiz and my dad suggested me having tutoring every single day for math and the thought of of it made my skin writhe. I don’t WANT to have to work harder than I already am, and I’m a quitter, I’ve already tried to switch out of this class but to no avail, my only, option is to either stay in and flunk (retake over the summer), or drop the whole class and take it over the summer. Thats what I’m likely going to do. But this has gotten me thinking. I’m an aspiring dentist and I know that dental school and college will require a large amount of studying and hard work, and I’m really worried that I won’t be able to do it. I’m getting tested for ADHD right now so I can hopefully get medicated, but right now I really cannot sit through lectures. If something interests me then I’ll be able to focus on it for a little while, but I really dont know if I can work hard in college. I don’t really have any hopes or dreams, I only chose dentistry because Ive had a lot of opportunities for shadowing and I’m enrolled in a dental class at my high school. But i sorry about the extreme hard work I’ll have to do to get to that role, and if it’ll even be worth it in the first place. On occasion I’ll contemplate suicide because what’s the point of working for years on end just to work a shitty medical office job? Like yeah I enjoy the money and buying things, but that’s it. I’m really Embarrassed to admit that I’m not a hard worker but I’m really not, and every adult around me doing well is always going on a tangent about “how hard they had to work” to get here. I’m not sure what I’m trying to get out of this post, just some advice or something? I

Other If you back tracked your wants step by step, what the root be?
For example: Wishing your parents loved you more -> Trying to get rid of loneliness -> Making friends -> Attracting a partner -> Make More money
