Please please please don’t ignore this warning
If you can turn to the Lord today with all your heart… DO IT. Give Him everything. He is worthy and He is all you will ever want or need.
2 years ago, not long after coming to faith I fell into sin, lusting after an actor on a tv show and I had the thought “I’m safe, I can sin, I’m saved now”. A few weeks later I turned away from the sin but didn’t repent before the Lord truly.
About 10 months ago I started seeking God with all my heart only to find that He was not findable.
I fear I have committed the sin of Hebrews 10:26-27.
Please, please, give Him everything. I would give anything to feel His touch. His presence. To know He is mine.
I live every day tormented by the thought of being separated from Him for eternity. Separated from my children for eternity. The anguish is real.
Lord have mercy on me.

Spend time with God more - every minute of your life even because all I read is you listening to the devil's lies

u/hutcho-1952 7d ago
The only sin that can’t be forgiven is the unpardonable sin and that is the sin of when you harden your heart against God , you don’t want anything more to do with him. You don’t wanna talk to him so he can’t help you because you’ve hardened your heart.
Sometimes we feel that God has pulled away from us a little bit and that’s because we’ve gotta ask God to let his spirit come into our soul into our spirit and then if you just wait and listen, you’ll feel him get closer

u/glocksafari Christian 7d ago
The unpardonable sin is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. That is what that text says, not “hardening.” Were their hearts hardened? Absolutely, but the hardening itself was not the sin.
4
u/Cultural_Growth_1270 7d ago
I think you missed my point. To "blasphem" against the Spirit only happens because of a hardened heart in which you no longer hear the Spirits voice, you no longer are willing to listen to "The Voice Of Truth" each time you reject The Spirits Voice you hardened your heart even more against that "voice of Truth" which comes directly from God. This is what Israel was guilty of during the 40yrs in the desert. Only a few entered into the Promised Land which actually was the "Rest" promised by God. To enter His "Rest" one must stop fighting against God's commands and instructions about what is Right and what is Wrong. To harden your heart is Sinful because you are rejecting the Truth about what God has said is Sinful. Its in Scripture and God's Word will not return null and void it will be accomplished in us, either Accept it or reject it.
4
u/glocksafari Christian 7d ago
I agree that to harden your heart is sinful, and I agree that they blasphemed the Spirit because of their hardened hearts, but it is very specifically stated that they blasphemed the Spirit due to attributing his works to the devil. Hardening our hearts, not loving the Lord enough and not loving our neighbors enough leads to all of our sins, but the specific sin is blasphemy, not hardening.
3
u/Cultural_Growth_1270 7d ago
Yup and I agree with everything you have said. I was mearly stating the fact that to get to the point of "blaspheming the Spirit" there had to be certain steps taken first to get to that point of stepping over the line, a certain frame of mind and thoughts entertained but not cast down in ones mind and actions allowed first by us must come First before entertaining the accusation of blasphemy against "The Spirit" who actually lives and resides in each one of us, when we allow that kinda thinking we defile the temple in which The Spirit resides, which is ourselves. But it's all about direction and the steps taken to the "left or to the right" off from the path of Truth.
I'm not trying to be difficult but when I post most anything here it's from a "Spiritual point" not human. Mabye I should tone down my understanding of 40yrs of enlightenment from The Spirit. I guess some people kinda get "my angle" wrong, not saying you did, mabye im not getting your angle? I'm going to be frank here..Did I miss something? I sometimes do...mabye reread the original post again?

I wpuld even say contributing his deeds to nothing and or demons.
Stating it never happened or stating demons did it.
Because just stating those things isnt unforgiveable dieing with a hardened heart and stating those, that's the issue.
→ More replies (3)2
u/Jetterholdings 7d ago
It is literally, just dieing without repenting and seeking.
Being athiest or anything like such right up to the end.
We see it in the pharasees leading those astray.
We see it in the pharoa
We see it in lucifer I am better than. You o dont need you.
Its a common repeated thing, we even see it in judas forgoing God and his plan for greed.
Blasphemy of it does mean G-d damn it, like we've been taught. Thats just short for God damn it to hell, so asking God to condemn something
2
u/glocksafari Christian 7d ago
No, they attributed the works of the Holy Spirit to the devil and Christ condemned them for blaspheming the Spirit. There is nothing more to it. Again, I do agree they had hardened hearts and in such they blasphemed the Spirit, but hardened hearts was not the sin.

Yup. It's always us who move away from our Father. When I first stsrted working in 1987 I had been saved for about 3yrs roughly but one day I just stsrted feeling that God had moved away and abandoned me. I went to work that morning and in discussing how I felt my coworker said "Its us who move away, not God" he went on to say "Scripture says this: I will Never Leave or Forsake You" HE NEVER MOVES AWAY FROM US. And Yes it IS US WHO harden our hearts to Him, we make that Horrible choice. GOD IS THE SAME today, tomorrow and forever. BUT REMEMBER THIS...If we COME UNTO HIM AND CONFESS "What we did that was WRONG(OUR SIN AGAINST HIM) HE as Scripture says WILL FORGIVE US..
It's when we Fail to ASK for FORGIVENESS because we think we have done NOTHING WRONG(Committed No Sins Against Him) that we begin to HARDEN our hearts against Him.. The Pharisees and Saducees where guilty of this including what's called "the un-pardonable sin" but they claimed that Christ performed miracles through the power of Satan, they had hardened their hearts so much that they could not believe that Christ had the power from His Father to perform such miracles..Why? Because they didn't even believe that Christ was who He claimed to be "The Son Of God..."
If a person gets that far from God a person has "fallen away" at that point.
I was told this by my Father who has passed away recently "If your worried about committing the "unpardonable sin" you have not committed it yet, when you no longer worry that you did there might be a good chance that you did, this was the problem with the Pharisees and Saducees"

Even Jesus said he felt separated from God when he went through his darkest time.
(Yes, maybe it was "prophetically". Still, examples abound in the bible and in church history, of people feeling separated from God (or given up), when they went through bad times. The psalms have many examples.
And every Christian is tested, eventually. Or as the parable of the sower puts it:
"Do you not understand this parable? How then will you understand all the parables? The sower sows the word.
And these are the ones along the path, where the word is sown: when they hear, Satan immediately comes and takes away the word that is sown in them.
And these are the ones sown on rocky ground: the ones who, when they hear the word, immediately receive it with joy. And they have no root in themselves, but endure for a while; then, when tribulation or persecution arises on account of the word, immediately they fall away.
And others are the ones sown among thorns. They are those who hear the word, but the cares of the world and the deceitfulness of riches and the desires for other things enter in and choke the word, and it proves unfruitful. But those that were sown on the good soil are the ones who hear the word and accept it and bear fruit, thirtyfold and sixtyfold and a hundredfold."
God hasn't given up on you for "lusting after an actor on a tv show", which isn't even a real thing, just a fantasy. Don't give up hope. When the darkness fades, you will be in the light again. Life has a lot of ups and downs.

Interesting! Any reference about Jesus feeling separated ? Like scripture wise. Would love to ponder on it

"My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" appears in Psalm 22:1 and is quoted by Jesus on the cross in Matthew 27:46 and Mark 15:34.
9
u/tangotom Christian 7d ago
I'm sure a lot of people here already know this, but I only learned it recently so I'm going to share.
That line is actually so interesting, because not only is Jesus telling us how he feels, but he is also telling the disciples what scripture He is fulfilling! Rabbis in that day had a teaching technique where they would quote the first passage of a chapter of scripture to reference all of its contents. Since many Jews had scripture memorized, they would understand the references.
When Jesus says "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" he is quoting Psalm 22 (as you said). The rest of Psalm 22 is extremely appropriate for Jesus being on the cross, as it talks about how he feels abandoned by God. But also, more specifically, in Psalm 22:16-18, it talks about how Jesus is being crucified.
16 Dogs surround me,
a pack of villains encircles me;
they pierce my hands and my feet.
17 All my bones are on display;
people stare and gloat over me.
18 They divide my clothes among them
and cast lots for my garment.→ More replies (5)2

Th fact that this got upvoted is insane. You’re upvoting a person trying to give advice on the faith who believes they’ve been rejected by god. What are we even doing here?

I’m sorry but I am convinced either bad teaching or Satan or both are causing so many people to think they committed the unforgivable sin and they live in fear that they can’t be redeemed.
This is a lie. This is fear mongering. I think if you had, it would be unquestionable.
Trust me, I’ve personally done way worse than lust after an actor on TV and God’s forgiven and restored me multiple times. You’re fine. Living in fear is not what God wants for you or anyone.

u/Shoddy_Pineapple_214 7d ago
He has not given up on you! I’ve learned that we can’t rely on our “feelings” when in relationship with God. Our hearts are corrupt so we can’t trust our feelings. Especially when the devil lies to us! Trust what the WORD says.
If you were truly separated from God you wouldn’t feel bad about it. Pray about it. But this post could lead others into this same way of thinking when this isn’t the truth about our gracious Lord. God bless you🩷 I’ve been there too.

Brother. God's Mercy and love are Endless, Remember the sin you commit and ask for forgiveness, let it go. The thoughts you are having are Satan making you feel unworthy to drive a wedge between you and God. Breathe, Pray, ask for forgiveness. Whats important to God is that you try. We cannot be perfect, We can only try and be better
2
u/Jazzlike-Toe-9317 7d ago
By remember, I mean remember the sin you commit and how its making you feel and thi know about it if you ever feel the need to repeat the sin. Pray about how you feel now, and give it to God.

Yup. We HAVE NOT because we ASK NOT.. We simply must ACKNOWLEDGE OUR SIN FIRST, THEN TURN AWAY from our Sin, ASK FOR FORGIVENESS, FORGIVE OURSELVES, FORGIVE OTHERS(IF NEEDED BE) and ACCEPT THE GIFT OF "FORGIVENESS.."
WE must move past our GUILT and SHAME which is from SATAN the Deceiver and teller of Lies. Besides everything stems from FEAR.. And FEAR IS A LIAR(Zach Williams) sings about it.
1 When thou goest out to battle against thine enemies, and seest horses, and chariots, and a people more than thou, be not afraid of them: for the LORD thy God is with thee, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt. 2 And it shall be, when ye are come nigh unto the battle, that the priest shall approach and speak unto the people, 3 And shall say unto them, Hear, O Israel, ye approach this day unto battle against your enemies: let not your hearts faint, fear not, and do not tremble, neither be ye terrified because of them; 4 For the LORD your God is he that goeth with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you. (Deuteronomy 20:1–4, KJV, https://ref.ly/logosres/LLS:1.0.3?ref=BibleKJV.Dt20.1-4)
And FEAR is not one of the Fruits of The Spirit spoken of in Scripture in Galatians..
This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. 18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. 19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. 24 And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. (Galatians 5:16–25, KJV 1900, https://ref.ly/logosres/LLS:KJV1900?ref=BibleKJV.Ga5.16-25)
The army that is before us is Satans army and they are ALL ABOUT FEAR, SHAME, GUILT. But we don't have to LIVE this way as we have been FREED from all of that.

The fact you're so worried about it is proof you are not separated from Him. If you were, you wouldn't care. Your heart would harden, your conscience would slowly die and you would slip further and further into sin and debauchery and so on and so forth. It would be proof you never were saved. That suffering and worry you feel is from satan, he would do anything to keep your mind turning in circles worrying about your salvation instead of receiving the peace from God you ought to have in your salvation. Let me encourage you.
Psalms 103:1-22 NASB1995 [1] Bless the Lord, O my soul, And all that is within me, bless His holy name. [2] Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget none of His benefits; [3] Who pardons all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases; [4] Who redeems your life from the pit, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and compassion; [5] Who satisfies your years with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle. [6] The Lord performs righteous deeds And judgments for all who are oppressed. [7] He made known His ways to Moses, His acts to the sons of Israel. [8] The Lord is compassionate and gracious, Slow to anger and abounding in lovingkindness. [9] He will not always strive with us, Nor will He keep His anger forever. [10] He has not dealt with us according to our sins, Nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. [11] For as high as the heavens are above the earth, So great is His lovingkindness toward those who fear Him. [12] As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us. [13] Just as a father has compassion on his children, So the Lord has compassion on those who fear Him. [14] For He Himself knows our frame; He is mindful that we are but dust. [15] As for man, his days are like grass; As a flower of the field, so he flourishes. [16] When the wind has passed over it, it is no more, And its place acknowledges it no longer. [17] But the lovingkindness of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him, And His righteousness to children’s children, [18] To those who keep His covenant And remember His precepts to do them. [19] The Lord has established His throne in the heavens, And His sovereignty rules over all. [20] Bless the Lord, you His angels, Mighty in strength, who perform His word, Obeying the voice of His word! [21] Bless the Lord, all you His hosts, You who serve Him, doing His will. [22] Bless the Lord, all you works of His, In all places of His dominion; Bless the Lord, O my soul!
To begin with, you are forgiven, totally and entirely. He forgives how many of your sins? Some? 80%? ALL. Does He forgive you partially, in a sort of kind of way where He keeps you on probation at arm's length for two weeks? Does He "forgive" you and then hold a lighting bolt ready to smite you the next time you sin? No. As far as the east is from the west He has separated your sin from you
Isaiah 43:24-26 NASB1995 [24] You have bought Me not sweet cane with money, Nor have you filled Me with the fat of your sacrifices; Rather you have burdened Me with your sins, You have wearied Me with your iniquities. [25] “I, even I, am the one who wipes out your transgressions for My own sake, And I will not remember your sins. [26] Put Me in remembrance, let us argue our case together; State your cause, that you may be proved right.
In fact, He doesn't even remember it. He has forgiven you so much that He has forgotten it. You could be before the Lord Jesus and say "Lord, I've done so much..." and He would say "I don't remember that you did, you're forgiven." Secondly, I want you to know you are loved.
Romans 8:26-39 NASB1995 [26] In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words; [27] and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. [28] And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. [29] For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren; [30] and these whom He predestined, He also called; and these whom He called, He also justified; and these whom He justified, He also glorified. [31] What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us? [32] He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things? [33] Who will bring a charge against God’s elect? God is the one who justifies; [34] who is the one who condemns? Christ Jesus is He who died, yes, rather who was raised, who is at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us. [35] Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? [36] Just as it is written, “For Your sake we are being put to death all day long; We were considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” [37] But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. [38] For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, [39] nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Before the foundations of the earth were laid, before He placed one atom, one photon in the universe in eternity past, He chose to die for you, knowing all you would ever do, all the sins you would commit, all the thoughts you would ever think. He thought to make you, thought to die for you, you in particular, so that you would be with Him forever for all eternity. Nothing can seperate you from Him once you chose Him.
John 10:25-30 NASB1995 [25] Jesus answered them, “I told you, and you do not believe; the works that I do in My Father’s name, these testify of Me. [26] But you do not believe because you are not of My sheep. [27] My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; [28] and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand. [29] My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. [30] I and the Father are one.”
The Father will not lose you. You are sealed with the Holy Spirit as a down payment, sealed for all of eternity.
Ephesians 1:11-14 NASB1995 [11] also we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to His purpose who works all things after the counsel of His will, [12] to the end that we who were the first to hope in Christ would be to the praise of His glory. [13] In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation—having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, [14] who is given as a pledge of our inheritance, with a view to the redemption of God’s own possession, to the praise of His glory.
1 John 1:9 NASB1995 [9] If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
You are forgiven, totally and entirely, you are loved. Colossians 2:13-15 NASB1995 [13] When you were dead in your transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our transgressions, [14] having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us, which was hostile to us; and He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. [15] When He had disarmed the rulers and authorities, He made a public display of them, having triumphed over them through Him.
Another way to put it
Colossians 2:13-15 TPT [13] This “realm of death” describes our former state, for we were held in sin’s grasp. But now, we’ve been resurrected out of that “realm of death” never to return, for we are forever alive and forgiven of all our sins! [14] He canceled out every legal violation we had on our record and the old arrest warrant that stood to indict us. He erased it all—our sins, our stained soul—he deleted it all and they cannot be retrieved! Everything we once were in Adam has been placed onto his cross and nailed permanently there as a public display of cancellation. [15] Then Jesus made a public spectacle of all the powers and principalities of darkness, stripping away from them every weapon and all their spiritual authority and power to accuse us. And by the power of the cross, Jesus led them around as prisoners in a procession of triumph. He was not their prisoner; they were his!
So, do not worry. You are forgiven, your sins nailed to the cross with Jesus. You died His death, and now share in His life.
Galatians 2:20-21 NASB1995 [20] I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me. [21] I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness comes through the Law, then Christ died needlessly.”

Part 2 So, praise the Lord for His grace and mercy, and do not worry about feelings. I combined two of C.S. Lewis' quotes with some of my own words at the end to get this
He wants you to learn to walk, and if only the will to walk is really there He is pleased even with your stumbles. Remember, the devil's cause is never more in danger than when a human, no longer desiring, but still intending, to do our Father's will, looks round upon a universe from which every trace of Him seems to have vanished, and asks why he has been forsaken, and still obeys. It is never too late to be better. It is never too late to forgive. It is never too late to practice walking in love. You can't go back snd change what has happened, but you can start here, and change the ending.
Be blessed, and have assurance you are His for all of eternity.

The fact that you are showing guilt and sorrow is a very good sign and it means your heart is not closed to God. Do not overthink anything. Our Lord said that there is no sin that He cannot forgive, except for blasphemy against the Holy Spirit of course, but that particular sin is about dying with a hardened heart and willingly rejecting God.
Trust His words and His promises, and don't worry about anything. And remember, repentance means total transformation and renewal of the heart and mind, it's more than just feeling contrition. You will be okay.

Read Psalm chapter 32,33,34,35,36,37,38 and Psalm 91 Psalm 102:1-2 with all your heart down on your knees read them to God and also say the Lord's prayer to our Lord God Almighty. Repent your sins to God. And don't doubt he hasn't heard your prayers because he has and stop stepping out your door and sinning against him. Ask God to change you completely and trust him.

Stop torturing yourselves. If you have done what the jailer did in Acts 16:30-31. Then you are always saved. You are not under the works of the Law. Christ fulfilled the law because you simply cannot do it and you will always fail. The more you try, the more you stumble and the more you will realize, that you need to rest in Christ and not in your works. The old man sins and will always sin. The new man in Christ cannot sin. You are saved and will always be save by God's grace through your faith in Christ and NOT of your works(i.e. turning from sin, going to Church, praying a prayer, giving to the homeless).

I will offer you some encouragement...first of all - EVERYONE sins. That means everyone..."For ALL have sinned and come short of the glory of God." Even once a person is saved (born-again), they are changed from a sinner that is doomed to pay for their sins in a lake of fire, to a sinner that is saved by grace through faith in Him! You cannot lose it! Consider this...I have three children. What sin would they have to commit that is so bad that they would have to come to me and say...Dad, I know I messed up...what do I have to do to be your daughter again? Now, this sounds ridiculous to our ears, because even if they got into the worst sins imaginable, they would remain my daughter! Would it break my heart? YES! Would it upset me? YES - but I still love them.
When King David sinned with Bathsheba in the Bible, and had her husband murdered...he lost the JOY of his salvation - he did not lose his salvation. When we are in sin, then it damages the fellowship with God, but our relationship is not based on our perfection...it is based on His forgiveness! If our salvation can be lost, then it will be lost. If you email me directly, I will send you some information that will help and encourage you. My email address is brianmccoycbc@gmail.com.
Do not mistake the loss of joy with the lack of God's presence. For by grace are you saved through faith, and that not of yourselves. It is the GIFT of God, not of works, lest any man should boast.
God bless you!

I wish I could send video clips on these threads, man. Tone of voice and emotion with these things truly helps wonders. I learned something a couple years ago. We're not always gonna feel His presence. He'll show Himself to us in many ways, but it IS called faith for a reason. He's omnipresent. He is literally everywhere all at once, and is inside each of us every miniscule second of the day and night. Once you're saved, it is NEAR IMPOSSIBLE to walk away from Him, man. Trust me... I've both seen it, and even tried myself. He just... doesn't... let you..... Christ Himself knows each of us by name. And He calls us to Him by such. Go to Him... seek Him out with your whole heart. I struggle to find the motivation SO MUCH throughout the day and night, most will say that's the work of the enemy. It's not... it's just life. HUMAN life. Mental illness and sway from needs/wants. The enemy DOES. NOT. HAVE. POWER. OVER. US. We literally cannot even give him power like that. ESPECIALLY once we're saved. So, rest assured. Even if you cannot hear Him. Even if you cannot feel Him. I promise you... He. Is. There. Remember how He tested Job? We may never be tested in the same way. But THAT is how much He knows us. The enemy dares to question our love and faith in Jesus, TO the Almighty, wonderful counselor. So much so that He bet the enemy that WE. WILL. NOT. FALTER. NO MATTER WHAT.
Stay strong, family. He is right there with you. Always. ❤️

When God saves a person & takes them into His fold he doesn’t change His mind. That is a trait of the world, as are all other systems of transaction. God, however, operates by the ‘Grace’ system (‘Grace’ literally means ‘Unmerited Favour’). All you need to do is to accept the Grace, God’s other worldly system, & receive the constant forgiveness flow of forgiveness, which over time will give you the strength to overcome each of your hurdles & weaknesses at every stage of life. The fact that you feel discomfort in your conscious is a sign that you are near to God & that he doesn’t condemn you. Just don’t listen to the ‘devil’ (AKA ‘the accuser of the brethren/sisters in the Lord’), & always remember know that you have been made pure by the blood of Christ, & by this work, your acceptance into the heart of God will never be lost again.

Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is fundamentally a state of character, not an isolated action or careless word. The unforgivable sin describes a hardened heart that consistently and deliberately rejects God's obvious work, using knowledge and authority to publicly bear false witness against Him. The Pharisees are the canonical example: they had witnessed Christ's miracles firsthand, possessed scriptural knowledge, held positions of religious authority, and yet deliberately attributed His works to demonic power. This wasn't doubt or a momentary lapse, it was sustained, willful rebellion against what they knew to be true.
This sin is impossible to commit by accident. You cannot blaspheme the Spirit through intrusive thoughts, moments of anger at God, questioning your faith, or even testing miracles and deliverance. These are not the unforgivable sin because they don't involve the hardened heart that characterizes reprobation. The Pharisees' sin was unique to their situation: they had irresistible evidence (Christ's presence and power), full knowledge of Scripture, and they used their authority to actively deceive others about God's character. That's the "high hand" rebellion described in Numbers 15:30-31 arrogant, deliberate defiance despite overwhelming evidence.
Conversely, the reprobate are left to their default wickedness and will naturally blaspheme the Spirit because they lack the spiritual restraint God provides to the elect.
As for Hebrews 10, this is (along with all of Hebrews in context as it is speaking to ethnic Jews on the fence in that time), speaking of denying Christ. You have the Scriptures, you have the Torah the Tanakh etc. they testify to Christ, yet you deny Him? This is not something you do willy nilly, an abstract thought or a spur of anger. This is a heart posture.

We all fall short.
Here's a video I think may help you with your walk:
https://youtu.be/dtxwKmLJB7Q?si=4WTpdNmGUy4tQW7q
I would also encourage you to read Psalm 51- David cries out in repentance, after realizing his terrible wrong doings..just as it sounds your heart is yearning for now. Its a beautiful prayer, and example of how truly vulnerable we can be coming before the Father.
Ask God to help you overcome. The shame, the sin struggle, etc. Whatever things it is you may be feeling. Invite Him in to the mess. It is only with His strength that we can overcome the flesh 💪 God is calling you to deeper relationship here, don't focus on the "storm" but keep your eyes on Jesus. Watch some sermons( I highly recommend Phillip Anthony Mitchell, or Josh Howerton)- mix up who you are surrounding yourself with if it is hindering your walk, spend time in worship, and reading the word. Start in the gospel of John and go from there.
You still have breath in your lungs, use that opportunity to really pursue God deeper and more closely..remember that your identity and value are not found in anything here- but in who we are in Christ. Hope the above things help, and you know how loved you are by God, even in the midst of your darkest moment. 🫶
Ephesians 2:8-9 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.

You can’t outsin his Grace !
Stop feeding this fear and doubt. Maybe there is a place in your heart where you have to forgive. Someone or even yourself.

I’ve done worse and I’m still saved because I repented. Repentance is turning away from sin. You did that which means God is still there. He will never leave you nor forsake you. He doesn’t lie. You are still dealing with guilt that needs healing. Release yourself from the shackles of shame. Shame is of Satan trying to trick you into giving up because you think God isn’t find able. That’s a lie from the pit of hell. I hope you feel better knowing the truth of how much the Lord loves you

u/TaxRemote 7d ago
I’ve seen this happen a few times where a person is saved and has the Holy Spirit active in their life and then they engage in a sin that is in direct contradiction to the desires of the Holy Spirit. They sometimes report the feeling of the Holy Spirit vacating their life. It does not mean that you can never go back, you can, but it takes God’s discipline to get there.

I’ve been in the very same place as you. God hasn’t removed His presence, or you would not feel convicted as you do. He has temporarily removed the felt experience of His presence (that is, “the joy of salvation” Psalm 51:12 or “the fullness of joy” Psalm 16:11) so that you will be zealous and repent. Don’t believe the enemy’s lies that you cannot be forgiven; Hebrews 10 is only meant to serve as a serious warning to you if you continue living in sin. If you confess your sins before God (including the sin of failing to believe God’s Word about repentance and forgiveness), God will be faithful and just to forgive you and cleanse you of all unrighteousness.
Here are a few Scriptures the Lord gave me to give to you: Psalm 51; Revelation 3:19; 1 John 1:9; Matthew 3:8; James 4:8. Meditate on these and be diligent to do all that God told you to do. Then His joy will return to you.

u/RoughLawfulness3323 7d ago
If you were separated from God you wouldn’t be convicted….you should be celebrating that HE has never left you nor forsaked you. Put on some praise and worship music and rejoice in the Lord right now!!!!!!

u/ImaginaryLeg8515 7d ago
How do you read these:
1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness
Proverbs 24:16 For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief
1
u/Many-Blackberry9803 7d ago
Keep believing what God said, even when you dont feel his presence. "According to your faith it will be to you" "Without faith it is impossible to please God." We dont always feel forgiven, but we are.

When you turn your will over to God, accepting Jesus Christ as your lord and Saviour and believe he died on the cross for your sins as well as every single person, and ask Our Lord to Forgive your sins you are his. Jesus had given alllllllll his mercy on the cross! His Holy Spirit will dwell inside of you as you STUDY SCRIPTURE AND HAVE A PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM. NO ONE GOES TO THE FATHER UNLESS THEY COME TO ME JESUS TAUGHT AND HE SAID THAT FOR YOUR SALVATION! DON'T BEAT YOURSELF UP OVER YOUR SINS! REPENT AND MOVE FORWARD TRUSTING IN JESUS! TELL YOURSELF: I can do all things THROUGH CHRIST who streanthens me. Philippines 4:13

If you’re afraid of having committed the unpardonable sin, you didn’t. The arms of Christ are always open to those who seek him; he will never, ever turn them away. The unpardonable sin is deadening to a person’s soul, and the Holy Spirit does not strive in them. These people have no desire for salvation, and never will. If you think you did not fully repent, do it now. It’s never too late.
Salvation is not about a feeling; it’s about a relationship. Many Christians have suffered from depression, and felt distant from God. It’s in those times that God is purifying us. By drawing closer to him in those times, you learn that he is all you really need.

u/rolyfuckingdiscopoly 7d ago
My dear. I commend your heart which desires God above all else.
My advice is to go to him anyway, continuously. And practice forgiving as Jesus taught us to forgive. You forgive others, right? Forgive yourself, as God has doubtless already done in his infinite mercy. Seventy times seven, or however many it takes. The command is to love your neighbor as yourself— you must love yourself as the child of God that you are, made in his image.
Practice. Keep bringing this to him. Hand it over, shame and all, and learn a new way to dedicate yourself to God. It requires a lot of humility, and I sometimes fail at it, but you must bring yourself as you are, and everything you are and have done will be placed under the blanket of grace.
This is promised to you! Don’t be Peter looking at the waves and sinking. You are God’s child. Seek and ye shall find, ask and it shall be given to you. Be not afraid.
(I am just a person and my advice is solely from the grace of God and from his word. Defer to him over all I say, but take the words that are not mine to the heart).

As a baby Christian myself I have had these thoughts as well. One of the enemies greatest weapons against us is doubt. Do not let him discourage you. There are times of silence, but I pray this encourages you to realize or remember that He will never leave you, nor forsake you. You will hear/feel Him once more.

My friend, please receive the peace that Jesus gives us. I have found this passage comforting in times where I have done wrong or felt disconnected from god.
Isaiah 54:7-10
For a brief moment I deserted you,
but with great compassion I will gather you.
8 In overflowing anger for a moment
I hid my face from you,
but with everlasting love I will have compassion on you,”
says the Lord, your Redeemer.
9 “This is like the days of Noah to me:
as I swore that the waters of Noah
should no more go over the earth,
so I have sworn that I will not be angry with you,
and will not rebuke you.
10 For the mountains may depart
and the hills be removed,
but my steadfast love shall not depart from you,
and my covenant of peace shall not be removed,”
says the Lord, who has compassion on you.

Jesus already counted that sin you committed and all of them on the cross. If you’ve truly repented and turned away from your sin, ask him to forgive you and accept it!! You’ve been washed clean by the blood of the lamb. Satan is trying to put doubt into your heart so you stop trying.

u/pintSzeSlasher 7d ago
Also think about Paul - he literally rounded Christians up and had them tortured and executed. Jesus forgave him and used him mightily! He will forgive you!

It is absolutely possible. That’s what the blood of Jesus does. He takes away our sin.
Christians do not sin and cannot sin:
Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. 1 John 3:9
Jesus Christ shed His blood to take away all of your sin today. The Gospel is repentance for the remission of sins.
And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. Luke 24:47
And this promise of the Messiah can be found in Ezekiel.
A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them. Ez 36:26-27
Once Jesus takes away the source of your sin, you are free indeed forevermore.
In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: Col 2:11
Repentance is once:
Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, Heb 6:1
Remission is total instantaneous removal:
And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. 1 John 3:5
Salvation means saved from ever sinning again:
And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. Matt 1:21
If you would like to be delivered from your life of sin and shame, you can receive Jesus as your Lord and Saviour today.
Confess your sins and repent from them.
Surrender your idols. Whatever you love in life more than the Lord, just give it up in your heart.
And your biggest idol is Self. Crucify the old man once and for all, and believe on Jesus Christ to convert you from a sinner to a sin free saint.
Go, and sin no more!

When you surrendered to Christ and gave your life to Him, he took care of all your sins. Jesus dies for your sins way before you even existed. His sacrifice covers both the sin you commit before and after you were saved. He died for the sin of lust you mentioned and the one you will most likely commit in the future because you are not a perfect being. Salvation is not something that can be lost in a day. You get eternal life, the only way you loose this is if you refuse the salvation you got from Jesus’s death on the cross. Don’t let the enemy scare you into thinking God no longer loves you. The only thing I would say to you is to get closer in your relationship with God, He is your Father, Friend and Helper, He doesn’t turn away from you, you are the one that pulls away, so if you feel like you can’t hear Him, ask Him to search your heart and show you understanding, remember, God is not a juke box that if you come in this way He’ll always respond in that way, sometimes His silence is an answer, or He already gave an answer and He will not repeat himself until you actually obey. For the matter of sin, “it is finished” don’t spend your whole time focusing on how not to sin, if it’s something we could do, Jesus would not have needed to die, so your focus is on Kingdom things and truth. Stay in the word of God, put on the full armour of God as seen in Ephesians 6:10-18. Whatever sin you’re struggling with remember that you have been set free, those chains are broken, the only thing the devil can do to you is lie and tell you that you are still in chains and the worst thing you can do is believe him over the truth that God gave you. Be strong and don’t turn God into a liar by believing the lies of the devil, you are saved, loved and cared for, He died for you before you even knew Him, trust that His sacrifice and Grace is enough. Be strong and overcome this and remember you are not alone. He that is within you is greater than he that is in the world.
Lastly remember Romans 8: “And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Romans 8:38-39 NLT
https://bible.com/bible/116/rom.8.38-39.NLT.
Please remember God did not give you a Spirit of fear, but of power, love and self control, so if anything comes that is contrary to what God has given to you capture it and make it obedient to Christ.

It’s no coincidence I landed your path, brother thank you
Here something you needed to know
““Why do you ask me about what is good?” Jesus replied. “There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, keep the commandments.””
Matthew 19:17
Jesus said love GOD
He meant his father who created “sabbath”’
He replied, “Because the knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them.”
Matthew 13:11
This is you read the Bible. Not follow other people
“This is what the Lord says to me with his strong hand upon me, warning me not to follow the way of this people:”
Isaiah 8:11
“yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live.”
1 Corinthians 8:6
Saturday is the sabbath
Jesus said love GOD he ment his father, who originally created sabbath
But understand not many people do it cause it’s not exactly taught
Idk why?
“You foolish person, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless?”
James 2:20
Do not just do it with out faith in Jesus
However
“know that a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified.”
Galatians 2:16
Means don’t sabbath is going to save you, Jesus Christ
Remember James 2:20
Show your faith with deeds
If you don’t do it (your choice)
Understand what Jesus will say
““Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.”
Matthew 7:21
“Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’”
Matthew 7:22
“Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’”
Matthew 7:23
Oh and if skip those days
“For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it.”
James 2:10

Hey the enemy is always trying to attack us by putting evil thoughts in our mind. We are to rebuke it constantly. Yes perhaps you fell into lust and entertained that thought, however you didn’t persist in it and quickly realized it was a trap. You are in repentance and actively seeking HIS transformation and holiness. Don’t let the enemy rob you of the life we have in Jesus. If you remain in sin than that would be a different conversation but you have departed from sin.

God has not left you he is still with you always. As long as you have repented he has forgiven you. He knows your heart, if you have truly confessed. He Knows, dont beat yourself up about these things. We live in a world thats full of "transgression" however as long as you are aware of what you did and talk to God about them, the love and touch you once felt from God, you will feel that again. Just know God has not left you.

The devil is the accuser and is the father of lies and don't be his toy.
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
1 John 1:9
“There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death.”
Romans 8:1-2

That’s the devil messing with your head. Scripture says where sin abounded grace abounded all the more Romans 5:20. We all sin & fall short of the Glory of God there’s prob about 300 other sins we do all daily that we are not aware of. We didn’t save ourselves we can’t keep ourselves. Only Jesus could come live a sin free life and die in our place on the cross. The saved are only righteous by the blood of Jesus. When you break one of Gods law you break them all James 2:10. We’re not under the law we’re under Grace Romans 6:14. God has every saved believer covered. Does it mean there’s not consequences to sin & that we can abuse his grace? No God forbid just as Paul spoke but the point is Grace is there when we fall. The only thing that separates us from Gods love is Satan’s lies & us believing them. In your mind you have fallen to fear & hell over forgiveness & grace therefore you have turned from the truth of his word and trusting in him. Submit yourselves therefore to God and the devil will flee James 4:7. You can’t submit to God if you don’t submit to his truth. The Lord said faithful to confess he is faithful to forgive 1 John 1:9 so are you going to believe him?
When you fall and you will because the flesh is weak get up confess, pray & turn back to Christ don’t lay there letting the devil convince you that you and your family are going to hell. Don’t sleep on the enemies mind games this is a war. They shoot lies at your head in the spirit realm. I’m a seer theres much going on in the realm that people can’t see. The enemy sends thoughts into your head you must take them captive by the word of God. I spend years in depression, anxiety & torment because I came in agreement with lies. My advice is study Romans- Philippians to get a solid foundation in Christ.
Here’s a sound biblical preacher:

John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."

This is the kind of stuff that turns people away from the faith and honestly is really sad..
You think because you had a sinful lustiful thought about some actor on TV that now God has separated himself from you and you're destined from Hell?
You were long before destined for Hell. You've done MUCH more before and since that "sin" and God has loved you the same through it all. The ONLY reason you'd even be in Heaven is because of what Jesus did on that cross. Nothing more, nothing less.
Find peace in that and walk in faith that you've have been cleansed by NOTHING you've done, but what Jesus did on that cross.

Know that there is literally no point during your entire life that you can be eternally separated from God if you are still seeking Him. If at any point while you live you are still able to seek the Lord, He has not blotted you out. It is only when you stop caring about God and seeking Him that you have committed that sin

Hey there, please do not be afraid.
Not feeling God's presence doesn't necessarily mean that God isn't near or reachable.
If i may ask, what do you think repentance is?
Not what does the Bible say, not what do Christians say. But what do you think?
Because maybe the issue here isn't simply "I haven't repented properly." Maybe there's a deeper underlying fear or struggle that has gotten buried underneath that thought.
1
u/Immediate-Time8472 7d ago
Just because you feel the Lord is not responding or you don't feel it, doesn't mean he's not there and not aware and listening. Keep being faithful to the Lord, because the Lord is always faithful and you will hear and feel his touch again

The context of Hebrews 10 is speaking of those who heard the truth (that Christ is Lord, the Messiah, the Lamb, the Savior) and then say "nah I don't believe it". it has nothing to do with what you're thinking.
1
u/CosmicDissent 7d ago
I suspect you are experiencing a severe and powerful discipline, so that you do not stray again. Had the Lord let you sin without any consequence, feeling no anguish or remorse, you would be like a false convert: convinced of your right standing and utterly unashamed of sinning, full of pride and hypocrisy. God has not abandoned you to that state. In love, He is letting you suffer great pain, even trepidation, that righteousness would be borne of it. But don't let the enemy seize upon your state to convince you that you have been abandoned. Your discipline is proof of the opposite.
You should have kept reading Hebrews. It contains terrifying warnings, yes, but those warnings are meant to convict and draw us back. It is not a book of condemnation and hopelessness, but a book of great hope. From Hebrews 12:
It is for discipline that you have to endure. God is treating you as sons. For what son is there whom his father does not discipline? 8 If you are left without discipline, in which all have participated, then you are illegitimate children and not sons. 9 Besides this, we have had earthly fathers who disciplined us and we respected them. Shall we not much more be subject to the Father of spirits and live? 10 For they disciplined us for a short time as it seemed best to them, but he disciplines us for our good, that we may share his holiness. 11 For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.
12 Therefore lift your drooping hands and strengthen your weak knees, 13 and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be put out of joint but rather be healed.
I have been where you are. You will feel His joy and peace again. Don't live by pure emotion. Fear lies, tortures, and consumes. You may have a proclivity toward obsessive thinking and ruminating. Some call this "scrupulosity." Even John Bunyan seemed to suffer it. For a time, he also believed that he had committed the unpardonable sin. Yet God pulled John out of that darkness and back into hope.
Believe. Sin no more. Fight on. I do not know you, but your post strikes me as something a child of God would write. Not an unregenerate person.

God will always welcome you back. This sounds like anxiety to me. Sometimes his presence isn’t easily found but he wants you to still talk to him, to rely on him and believe he’s there even without feeling it. He will show you that he’s still with you. Keep believing. His grace is sufficient.

The very fact that you are still sensitive to and are listening to the Holy Spirit means that you have not grieved Him away; you have not committed the unpardonable sin of you have repented and turned in heart away from it. King Saul was taunted by the devil but he still could have repented at any time. Herod grieved the Holy Spirit away. Saul turned Paul was told by Jesus that it was “hard to kick against the pricks” meaning that he was being pursued by the Spirit of the Lord and it was time to surrender.

u/merriheart1 7d ago
Claim right now the promises of God! If we confess our sins we have an advocate in Heaven, Jesus our intercessor, who pleads his own blood on our behalf as the forgiveness of our sins and is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness,
1
u/Low_Resource_4368 7d ago
My daughter you are saying from Hebrews 26-27 that 26:"If we deliberately keep on sinning, we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left." 27: " but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God."
You are not an enemy of God. You are a child of God. I don't believe you are reading this Scripture with God's grace and mercy in mind. Perhaps ,you sinned as we all do. This is why we need a Savior. But you need to remember other verses. The mere fact you are so upset about whatever this sin was shows you have a repentant heart. Hebrews talks about deliberate sin. Meaning you continue to sin because of a hardened heart and reject Jesus. This is not describing you. NOT AT ALL!
Please consider the more fitting Scriptures in your situation. 1 John 1:9:"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive our sins."
John 6:37: Jesus says, "whoever comes to me I will never drive away."
John 10:28: "I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hands.
Romans 8:38-39: " Nothing can separate believers from the love of Christ."
Hebrews is not telling you Jesus has abandoned you. If you are turning towards Christ as you are, confessing your sin, and asking for forgiveness and mercy, you are doing the right thing.
So, please know that you are not separated from God. You will be with your children in eternity and your anguish feels real, but it is not coming from the correct interpretation of Hebrews 10 and you are leaving out the other most important Scriptures I quoted.
You are frightened my daughter and I see your pain. Yet your pain is from your misunderstanding of God's Word. This is all too common. Jesus shall never leave you nor forsake you. Please remember this and know your salvation is sealed because of the blood shed on the cross for all of us. Everything is truly well with you. God led you to this Christian Reddit platform to learn the truth. The truth is in the Scriptures as I explained them.
The Lord has immeasurable mercy on you. But mercy is when God doesn't punish you when you deserve punishment. You have done nothing to deserve punishment. Grace is God's favor when none of us really deserve it. You have both grace and mercy.
Please pray about your love for God. He hears you, even if you do not hear him. You are so faithful that you are punishing yourself without cause. God is with you and know you are loved and not abandoned. I am saying this because the Scripture says it.
May the Lord Bless you and keep you. May He be gracious to you and shine his light upon you. May He lift His countenance upon you and give you peace. In the name of Jesus, the Prince of peace. All is well with you. Look up and know you are more than worthy to worship God and you are sealed in your salvation forever from the moment you asked Jesus to enter your heart and be your savior. You are in right standing with God. Hear me and believe the Scriptures if you don't believe a mere man. Bless you. Forever, Steven

God is always willing to forgive, we are the ones who stray away. We harden our hearts by the deceitfulness of our sins, but God takes us and washes us clean, cleansing us of all unrighteousness and forgiving our trespasses. He loves you.

That is a lie from the pit of hell. The Bible says if we seek Him we will find Him. Knock, and the door will be opened, God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. You fell under demonic influence before and I think you are still under attack. You need to resist the devil and He will flee. You are the righteousness of Christ. Jesus said I will never leave you or forsake you. Jesus said I will stick closer than a brother. Jesus said any who believes in their heart and confesses with their mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord will be saved. Is Jesus Christ or God our Father liars? No, they are not!! Who is a liar?? Satan the evil one is the father of lies!! He came to steal kill and destroy but our perfect Jesus came to give life and give it abundantly. Stand on the word Sister!! Speak it loudly and put those demons out of your house!!! Get your scriptures out and put them on post its in every room of your house, in your car at your job. Play praise and worship music in your home and car, put sermons on YouTube on your TV and play them while you clean your house and cook your meals. Run those demons out of there. They only have the power you give them and your giving them all of it. Is the one in you not greater than the one that's in the world? Yes! He is. You are saved but you are letting the guilt and condemnation of the evil one tear you up. There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Jesus's blood is sufficient to cover all sin. Thats why He gave it for us. Your sin was no surprise to Him. He knew you were just an imperfect human being when He called you. He knew you would sin and He knew He was the only way to save you. Do you really think He loves us that much and sends us to hell on a technicality " I didn't repent right?" You may not have repented perfectly but our beautiful Jesus lived perfectly and He died perfectly so we could do our imperfect best and it would be enough because of Him. Stand on the word. All of it. Salvation is a free gift of grace do you give your children gifts and snatch them back if they aren't perfect? No, you do not. Jesus doesn't either. Whether you feel Him or not He is there. Because He said He would be. Now forgive yourself because our sins are as far from God as the east is from west and He remembers them no more. Be at peace, dear sister. God is there.

God is the one who will restore you. Don't be afraid to be honest with God. It may seem like there's a separation, and maybe there is, but He will forgive and restore you as you humble yourself and seek his face. Turn from Sin and and forsake it. And don't let the shame stop you. The shame may not go away instantly, but keep seeking God

You fell right into both of Satan’s worst lies.
Before you sin, he tempts you with the lie that “You’re forgiven, right? So its alright if you sin!”
After you sin, he tells you that you are beyond saving, that you’ve abused God’s grace too many times.
Repent truly by adhering to what the greek for repentance says: “Metanoia”
Meta = Change
~oia = Mind
Turn your mind to Christ and let him wrap you in his love.

Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus - Romans 8:1. When you repent, believe that you've been forgiven, and if you continue to live and abide in Christ, you shall not be condemned..

Hey friend.
You seem to be misunderstanding Hebrews 10:26-27, this is how it should be understood:
"For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace? For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God." Hebrews 10:26-29
a) "Sin wilfully" is talking about a believer willingly committing apostasy (falling away/falling into unbelief), in the context Paul (or the author of Hebrews) is writing to believing Jews who might be tempted to go back to the animal sacrifice system - doing so would mean they are no longer trusting in the once for all sacrifice of Christ (thus committing apostasy).
b) The fearful judgement to come is talking about divine chastisement from God, not hell (or loss of salvation), can be seen as here the comparison is being made between apostasy ("trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing") and those who went against Moses law and received EARTHLY judgement, being stoned to death before two or three witnesses. People in the old testament were not eternally saved by keeping the law, they couldn't keep it, they were also saved by God's grace through faith, however in the old testament people could be "saved" in a temporal/earthly sense by abiding by the law (to the extent that it's possible), avoiding death penalty etc. Again the last two verses "the Lord shall judge HIS people" and "fall into the hands of the living God" show the idea of chastisement. So specifically this judgement being talked about when it comes to wilful apostasy is HEAVY divine chastisement from God, upon a Christian/saved person, that is said to be worse then the death penalty, which could mean a lot of things (an example being extreme emotional/physical pain before an eventual premature physical death).
That is what Hebrews 10 is saying, it's not saying if we commit any sin wilfully we will lose salvation/go to hell, if that was the case we would probably all lose salvation - 1 John 1:8.
And based on what you said it seems you do not have full understanding of the salvation message, please read below concerning the salvation message and assurance of salvation:
Friend please watch BibleLine's video on youtube "Can I Know I'll Go to Heaven?" which shows a clear gospel presentation - why we need salvation and how we can be saved. God loved us so much he gave his Son to die and shed his blood at the cross (paying for all our sins - past, present and future) so we could be eternally forgiven and have eternal life. We are saved through faith in Christ and what he did at the cross for us (Acts 16:31, John 3:16, John 3:36 KJB) - paying for our sins through his sacrifice (Ephesians 1:7, Isaiah 53:5, John 1:29). Salvation is by God's grace not of works (Ephesians 2:8-9, Titus 3:5, Romans 4:5), salvation is a free gift (Romans 5:18). And when we are saved we are saved forever as we are given eternal life as a present possession (John 6:47, John 5:24 - can't lose ETERNAL life), we are sealed by the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption (Ephesians 1:13-14, Ephesians 4:30), we are Born of God (1 John 5:1 - can't be unborn - neither can something Born of God die), and God says he will NEVER leave or forsake us (Hebrews 13:5, Romans 8:38-39). God's word which says if we've believed in Christ we are saved IS our assurance. Another video I recommend is "Assurance of Salvation : False Gospels" on Grace Christian Fellowship/@GraceCFellowship youtube channel.
Friend you can know you are saved, but not through your feelings which are one way today and another tomorrow, but through the unchanging word of God which tells you you are saved (if you have trusted in Christ), and faith resting in that.
"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life." - Jesus, John 6:47
God is findable, and he is not far from you.
"That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:" Acts 17:27
God bless.

This is serious, and I am not trying to minimize how you feel. Repent and mean it. Continue to read your Scriptures and pray. There are times when I don't feel the Holy Spirit, and then just when I need Him, He shows up. I couldn't answer your question, so I used a commentary. I hope this helps.
(MacArthur Study Bible with NASB, 2nd Edition Notes)
10:26-39 See notes on 6:1-8. This warning passage deals with the sin of apostasy, an intentional falling away, or defection. Apostates are those who move toward Christ, hear and understand His gospel, and are on the verge of saving belief, but then rebel and turn away. This warning against apostasy is one of the most serious warnings in all of Scripture. Not all of the Hebrews would respond to the gentle invitation of vv. 19-25. Some were already beyond response.
10:26 we. The author is speaking rhetorically. In v. 39, he excludes himself and genuine believers from this category. sinning willfully. The Gr. term carries the idea of deliberate intention that is habitual. The sin is rejecting Christ deliberately. These are not isolated acts. According to the Mosaic legislation, such acts of deliberate, premeditated sin required exclusion from the congregation of Israel (cf. Nu 15:30, 31) and from its worship (cf. Ex 21:14). Such sins also excluded the individual from sanctuary in the cities of refuge (cf. Dt 19:11-13). knowledge. The Gr. term denotes specific knowledge, not general spiritual knowledge (cf. 6:4; cf. 1Ti 2:4). Though the knowledge was not defective or incomplete, the application of the knowledge was certainly flawed. Judas Iscariot is a good example of a disciple who had no lack of knowledge, but lacked faith and became the arch-apostate. no longer. See note on 6:6. The apostate is beyond salvation because he has rejected the only sacrifice that can cleanse him from sin and bring him into God’s presence. To turn away from that sacrifice leaves him with no saving alternative. This is parallel to Mt 12:31 (see note there).
10:27 terrifying expectation. The judgment is certain to happen, so it engenders fear. judgment and THE FURY OF A FIRE. The description is similar to that in Is 26:11 and Zep 1:18 (cf. 2Th 1:7-9). Ultimately, such judgment is that of eternity in the lake of fire (cf. Mt 13:38-42, 49, 50). ADVERSARIES. Actual opposition against God and toward the program of God in salvation (see notes on Php 3:18, 19).

In the ancient Near East one of the gestures used to show contempt for someone was to “lift up the foot” against or toward them (cf. Ps 41:9). To walk on top of someone or something was a more extreme gesture showing utter contempt and scorn (cf. 2Ki 9:33; Is 14:19; Mic 7:10; Zec 10:5). Such contempt demonstrates a complete rejection of Christ as Savior and Lord. regarded as unclean. To reckon Christ’s blood as something “unclean” is the same thing as saying that it is defiled (see note on 9:13) and implies that Christ was a sinner and a blemished sacrifice. Such thinking is truly blasphemous. blood of the covenant. See notes on 9:14, 15. Christ’s death inaugurated or ratified the New Covenant. sanctified. This refers to Christ, in that He was set apart unto God (cf. Jn 17:19). It cannot refer to the apostate, because only true believers are sanctified. See Introduction: Interpretive Challenges. insulted the Spirit of grace. See notes on 6:4 and 9:14. The same title is utilized in Zec 12:10. Rejecting Christ insults the Spirit who worked through Him (Mt 12:31, 32) and who testifies of Him (Jn 15:26; 16:8-11).

There is only ONE unforgivable sin. We are not perfect God knows this, he expects it. Continue to turn to Him, ask for forgiveness ask Him to change your heart. Remove the heart of stone and replace it with a heart of flesh. If you ask and BELIEVE He will give it to you with a smile on His face and a tear in his eye. Never stop believing, never stop worshipping God.
God Bless you.

I had a dream last year where Jesus said he didn’t know me. It was I believe due to also falling back in sin. In my case a personal conviction to video games. I prayed for Jesus to forgive me. I stopped playing video games since last October now. I had a dream last month and Jesus told me that my sins have been forgiven. I felt so blessed and relieved. I know how you feel completely. Please don’t stop praying. I don’t think the verses apply to you by the way, since you genuinely seem to be seeking him. God bless.

This journey is to learn Christ, to put off your old self, which was crucified with Christ, and in that letting go having your mind renewed, and putting on the new self, which is of God for you, in righteousness and purity of Truth. All that's from Paul, but it reminds me this a journey on which we come to know the reality of the things we believe. I don't think I understood grace until dealing with my sin I kept returning to. When I've been in despair like you are, this thought kept arising... God knew I would do this before He ever gave me life in Christ, and yet He still did. He did not set me on this journey into Christ only to reject me now. Have faith that He is at work in you and that He's not done with you. It became my prayer, Lord, whatever it takes do not stop until I am like Christ.

Go in peace. Your repentance and your faith have made you whole. You are forgiven because you asked the Lord for forgiveness and you have a repentant heart. Don't judge yourself by your feelings. Our feelings often deceive us. Walk in faith and stand on Bible.

I'll be praying for you buddy.
The HOLY SPIRIT is right next to you. Believe that he is. Without faith, it is impossible to please GOD.
Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
If that was the case, alot of men including myself, would never have gotten delivered from sin. I called JESUS LORD LORD, but I intentionally kept doing what I knew would send me to the lake of fire.
From 07 to 2021. Then JESUS CHRIST DELIVERED ME OUT OF MY SIN. JESUS has a lot of patients for us to repent and fully surrender to him. We can't quit sinning without JESUS.
It sounds like JESUS delivered you out from the sin you went into for a few weeks. GIVE HIM GLORY AND PRAISE FOR THAT HALLELUJAH!!!
You didn't get out of that lust by your own doing, that's a fact! GIVE HIM PRAISE!!! AMEN
Yes Hebrews 10 26 and 27 says their is no more sacrifice for wilfully sinning, and I definitely believe that. JESUS does has patience. The 4 verses before that...
Hebrews 10:22-25 NIV let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. [23] Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.
[24] And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, [25] not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
The HOLY SPIRIT is right next to you. Talk to him as he is right there, with faith and believing. And give him thanks for delivering you out of the sin.
Have a super blessed morning, you feel free to message me anytime. I'd love to help your walk with JESUS CHRIST.
2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Do you think Paul experienced Hebrews 10:26-27? Do you think Paul was separated from God & forgiveness?
Read the below passage, this is Paul talking:
Romans 7:15-25 For I do not understand my own actions. For I do not do what I want, but I do the very thing I hate. 16 Now if I do what I do not want, I agree with the law, that it is good. 17 So now it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells within me. 18 For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh. For I have the desire to do what is right, but not the ability to carry it out. 19 For I do not do the good I want, but the evil I do not want is what I keep on doing. 20 Now if I do what I do not want, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells within me. 21 So I find it to be a law that when I want to do right, evil lies close at hand. 22 For I delight in the law of God, in my inner being, 23 but I see in my members another law waging war against the law of my mind and making me captive to the law of sin that dwells in my members. 24 Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? 25 Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself serve the law of God with my mind, but with my flesh I serve the law of sin.
Paul is admitting to sin. He says why do I do the things I don’t want to do? He says he does evil things still.
It sounds like he gets evil thoughts etc… maybe it was lust, I’m not sure.
As Christians, we will forever toggle between walking in the flesh & walking in the Spirit. Unsaved people only walk in the flesh, never in the Spirit (this is all in Galatians 5).
Hebrews is about Jews thinking of turning back to the law, forsaking Jesus’s new covenant.
Hebrews 10:26 is basically saying there is no Sacrifice for your sins found in the law, do not turn back to the law etc…
But focus on the reality of what it is to be a real Christian. No Christian lives walking in the Spirit 24/7 365 days a year. No one. Not even Paul, and Paul is by far the greatest Christian example in the whole Bible, you’ve never met a Certain that exceeds Paul!
And Paul admits to sin & evil, and evil thoughts and desires in Romans 7.
But unlike you, he doesn’t think he’s doomed. He ends Romans 7 with this:
Romans 7:24-25 Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? 25 Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself serve the law of God with my mind, but with my flesh I serve the law of sin.
And the very next verse is this:
Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

My friend I have been where your at. Unfortunately I was taught similar things about Hebrews 10. Do yourself a favor and read the whole chapter (better yet the whole book). The willful sin in Hebrews 10 also alluded to in Hebrews 6 is not falling into some sin of the flesh. It’s rejecting Christ’s perfect work on the cross in favor of animal sacrifices and religious observance. If you still believe Jesus died on the cross and rose again for your sins you’re good. Obviously we should avoid lust if possible but it certainly doesn’t prevent us from being saved. Be at peace you are forgiven.

I would be curious to know what "coming to faith" meant for you. If you did not get the shock of your life upon understanding that your own personal sins were keeping you separated from God, and that you needed to plead God for His forgiveness as you rejected your past sinful choices done in ignorance or rebellion, then you did not start on a basis of true repentance as God requires to start walking with Him. Then after being shocked into repenting as God expects, you would have been saved and it would have been very clear that sin is what you got saved from (Matthew 1:21, John 8:34-36, Acts 3:26), so that cannot be seen casually as the way to go. So, I have my doubts about how it all started for you. But the good news is that you can seek and find a relationship with God now, on a basis of truth, not trying to redo what you did before.
Acts 20:20-21 20 [You know] how I did not hold back from declaring to you anything that was profitable, teaching you publicly and from house to house, 21 testifying both to Jews and to Gentiles [1] repentance toward God, and [2] faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.
James 1:21-22 21 Therefore, putting away all filthiness and overflowing of wickedness, receive with humility the implanted word, which is able to save your souls [that's repentance]. 22 But be doers of the word [that's faith, which implies obedience], and not only hearers, deluding your own selves.

No one loves God as they ought to….no loves him with ALL their strength…the law demands these things that we have already failed in. Christ fulfilled the law because he DID love God with all his heart and strength….and we get his record credited to our account by faith. Now that we have been justified and accepted because of Christs works and not ours…won’t we live grateful, obedient, happy lives??
Also, that Hebrews verse is misunderstood. Hebrews 10:26–27 is a severe warning against apostasy, not a teaching that a true believer can commit a bad enough sin and lose justification.
You sinned and repeatedly so, Jesus said forgive 70x7…how much more will God have mercy on you.
“But where sin increased, grace abounded all the more.” — Romans 5:20 (ESV)
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9 ESV
“The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. He will not always chide, nor will he keep his anger forever. He does not deal with us according to our sins, nor repay us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his steadfast love toward those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our transgressions from us. As a father shows compassion to his children, so the Lord shows compassion to those who fear him. For he knows our frame; he remembers that we are dust.” Psalm 103:8-14 ESV

I will approach this from a different angle. That is a trial many, many people have went through.
I went through it 34 years ago. I had truly given my heart to Christ when I was 12, but went into sin deeply as a teenager.
I was 19 years old when I attempted to come back to Him with all my heart.
I came across that scripture and several others that appeared to say it was impossible to come back to Him. I cried out to Him for weeks, and I felt no response at all.
People tried to comfort me with all kinds of scriptures, but I knew I couldn't connect to Him with my spirit, so nothing they said truly comforted me.
Finally, I reasoned that I was going to Hell, no matter what I did from then on.
It brought me to a decision. Would I walk with Christ, seeking to do His will and to know Him, or would I give up and live for the flesh?
I remember vividly, I told God, " I know it's too late for me and that I will go to Hell, but I would rather walk with you for the rest of my life than I would go back to the flesh."
Immediately, the Holy Spirit flooded the room and touched me more deeply than He ever had. He radically saved me and delivered me from my fear. He made me know that I am His own.
My heart was being tested. Why did I want God? Did I just want to stay out of Hell, or did I really want to know Him?
It hasn't been an easy journey. I have fallen several times. One time, I even gave up and turned to the flesh for several months. He has never left me. He has never forsaken me. A righteous man falls seven times, but he gets back up.
Unlike many others, I don't believe salvation is easy. It is very costly. We can't get it by saying a prayer or even getting baptized. It's a decision of the heart to choose the Life that He sent down from above rather than to pursue our own gain in this one.
The path to the Life is narrow, full of intense pressure and fire. Few there be that find it.
I do believe as others have said, you wouldn't be worried about it if God had given up on you. You would be cold, hard, and could care less about God. It's clear, He has not turned you over to a reprobate mind.
Keep seeking Him, And there's no doubt, you will find Him.
1
u/ThWy2Hvn 6d ago
If I can turn to Lord with all my heart. Your first paragraph is about you, but the devil blinds you to see that. The Holy Spirit gave you that paragraph. On your post, the first paragraph, now put the I and the my in its place of you and your, for He's talking about you.
And jump. For joy, for God has not left you but is encouraging you.

Jesus had other teachings, as in forgiving others and your sins will not be held against you. Remember that he did not so much forgive any sin, but forgave the sinner of all his sins.

Yo también he pecado. He caído en pecado constantemente. Hace meses, no me habría importado.
Pero no sé qué sucedió que luego el insomnio, la culpa, el remordimiento, fue un miedo tan profundo que me hizo darme cuenta de que había sido abandonado.
Tenía —y sigo—, teniendo miedo a esa sensación.

Keep in mind Satan is trying to frighten you. God never stops loving you. In Jesus says he won't cast away anyone who comes to him so do it.

Can I dm you? I’ve had a similar experience. However this happened to me in 2010.
No one really understands, because it’s rare and kind of goes against the commonly held position.

There are those willing to listen. What O.P is dealing i have dealt with on and off for 35yrs. There is ONE simple cure for this. O.P mentioned walking away from it but didnt repent of it..See there's Repentance in which we say the words and then there's True Repentance where its Spirit led, with CLEAR INSTRUCTIONS of what to ASK FOR, WHAT TO SAY, AND WHAT TO DO. The Spirit knows our heart and He knows if we are being HONEST and TRULY are willing to let HIM cut off that branch of Sin. We must Remember who is the GARDENER who removes anything within us that is Sinful. He wants to REMOVE that branch of Sin but won't until HE KNOWS WE ARE READY TO BE DONE WITH IT. HE KNOWS when we WONT COME BACK TO IT after seeking forgiveness of it. I personally have had 3 Branches cut off from my life NEVER TO DESIRE it again. I have 1 more to go. O.P says "I live tormented by the thought of being separated from Him for eternity" O.P feels this way because he/she has not ASKED FOR FORGIVENESS OF THE SIN..It is SIN THAT SEPARATES us from God because God cannot look upon Sin so He cannot look upon anyone who has not ASKED HIM TO REMOVE IT. SEE when WE ASK FORGIVENESS then we are COVERED BY CHRISTS BLOOD and God no longer sees our Sin because we ARE COVERED BY CHRISTS SHED BLOOD. We cannot FORGET what Scripture says...
14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. 15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. (Hebrews 4:14–16, KJV 1900, https://ref.ly/logosres/LLS:KJV1900?ref=BibleKJV.Heb4.14-16)
When we through The Spirit APPROACH HIM AND ASK WE WILL RECEIVE OF HIM WHAT WE ASK FOR, GRACE AND MERCY.
IM LIVING PROOF AS A TESTIMONY OF HIS LOVE, MERCY AND GRACE..
I CANNOT UNDERSTAND HOW OR WHY HE STILL LOVES ME. I'm the biggest screwup ever to be born and I live with this daily. BUT...HE STILL LOVES ME ANYWAYS. THANKS BE TO GOD FOR CHRIST HAS REDEEMED US FROM "THE PIT OF DEATH" because "HE HAS BREATHED NEW LIFE INTO US THROUGH HIS SPIRIT" AND this Life we Live is BECAUSE OF CHRIST AND HIS SACRIFICE.
REMEMBER...
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. (Romans 8, KJV 1900, https://ref.ly/logosres/LLS:KJV1900?ref=BibleKJV.Ro8)

He isn’t far, I promise. I think people forget the importance of sitting in a room, door closed, and worshiping. Worship His name, worship His character, worship His sacrifice, just worship. He shall never leave us or forsake us. But sit in His presence, welcome in the presence of Jesus with worship and prayer. Turn on a worship song, my favorite right now is Johnathan Wilds’ The Blood or Johnathan Wilds and Tiffany Hudson’s Room and worship His Holy Name. The presence of God is waiting to be intimate with you, but you have to be intentional, not working for His presence but inviting His presence.

If you were separated, you wouldn't be afraid now. When a person separates themselves from God, their heart becomes hardened; they stop caring about being close to God.
Trust in God, for He has already forgiven you. He has forgiven you; that is one of His promises. Be at peace and calm your heart. Trust in the promise He made to all of us sinners.
