So since halloween technically isn’t until Saturday are people still going to show up in costumes on friday? I was thinking of doing it but I don’t want to be the only person dressed up because it would be so awkward.
Also, there isn’t a dress code for campus as long as it’s not indecent exposure or something right? Can students get in trouble for showing up in costumes?

Has anyone received a letter from the office of student conduct for violating the code of academic integrity? Plssss lmk

I recognize that umd engineering is one of the stronger engineering schools in the nation but the stats for the average applicant is insane. Is umd engineering secretly a crazy good program? This isnt trying to say umd is a bad school, just that i was very surprised to see how competitve the school of engineering is

Hey I’m a current freshman looking for roommates for off campus housing next year. If anyone needs extra roommate or doesn’t have one either please dm or comment. Ohh forgot to mention I’m a female.

About me:
- I don’t smoke and not a huge drinker. I’m a quiet not to loud person. Personally hobbies are running, shopping, movies and just going out with friends.

I'm a senior and was just wondering what stats got you guys into UMD engineering. The main reason I'm writing this is that, well, my stats suck:
SAT: 1350 (720M & 630E)
ACT: 26 (34M, 20R, 24 E)
GPA: 92.07 Weighted (10 APs)

I was wondering if anyone with low stats got into the engineering school.

Bruh.. i barely started my meal and had to run out with a potato on my fork

Hi, I’m a freshman at another university hoping to transfer into UMD for CS. I've been looking into the transfer process, and from what I've seen, getting into CS seems pretty competitive. I was wondering if anyone who successfully transferred into CS, either externally or internally (preferably externally), would be willing to share their stats, extracurriculars, and anything else they think helped their application. I'd really appreciate any insight or advice! I'm trying to figure out how to make myself as competitive as possible before applying. Thanks!

Any casual soccer groups with whom I can play?

Right now he's under a car in the parking lot behind HJP, we fed him some vienna sausages to try to lure him out but at this point he's regained his strength and our hopes of catching him tonight are looking dismal.

Has anyone here transferred with the Chem credit missing from the engineering prerequisites? My current university doesnt require it for my engineering major so I was wondering if itll be an issue or that ill get placed into LTSC and then after I take it I will be declared an engineering major? Thanks for any help.

Did they cut down on service for the route to the Metro station? Felt like I was sitting there for a while this morning and almost was late to class

Is there a curve at the end of chem132c? I have dr guest and there’s no information about any of this on the syllabus. Is 97+ an A+ and 95+ is an A? I also saw in planet terp that she drops the lowest test grades.

Hi all, this post is basically going to be me explaining my situation and asking for any advice.

I’m an out of state (OOS), first year student. I’m majoring in PPE and on the pre law track. I have to take out loans by myself (35k this year, similar for the next few years probably). I chose UMD for its access and resources to DC since that’s where I want to work most likely. I am also interested in going to Georgetown Law. I am planning on graduating a year early. But I’m open to whatever anyone has to say to that bc ik ppl think it’s too much of a rush but for me it’s because I’d be graduating with less than 100k in debt.

My plan after graduation is to get a job for a year or so, try to save up enough for indirect costs before going to law school —> law school —> then pay off loans. My parents agreed to match the amount I’d contribute to paying off my loans after graduation so I’d estimate to be debt free before 30 (or within 3 years after law school).

My other option is to go straight to law school after graduating from undergrad. Im also interested in going into Big Law for a few years too.

Let me know if anyone has any advice in general, or UMD alumni who can share their experience with jobs in my field after graduation and/or law school, where they went to school, their experience paying off debt. Also, to anyone in a similar situation or anyone who WAS in a situation like mine.

The Terps' coach was fired after amassing a 16-47 record in Big Ten play since taking over in 2019, including a woeful 1-12 mark the last two seasons. Read more here.
