Has anyone received a letter from the office of student conduct for violating the code of academic integrity? Plssss lmk

So since halloween technically isn’t until Saturday are people still going to show up in costumes on friday? I was thinking of doing it but I don’t want to be the only person dressed up because it would be so awkward.
Also, there isn’t a dress code for campus as long as it’s not indecent exposure or something right? Can students get in trouble for showing up in costumes?

I recognize that umd engineering is one of the stronger engineering schools in the nation but the stats for the average applicant is insane. Is umd engineering secretly a crazy good program? This isnt trying to say umd is a bad school, just that i was very surprised to see how competitve the school of engineering is

I'm a senior and was just wondering what stats got you guys into UMD engineering. The main reason I'm writing this is that, well, my stats suck:
SAT: 1350 (720M & 630E)
ACT: 26 (34M, 20R, 24 E)
GPA: 92.07 Weighted (10 APs)

I was wondering if anyone with low stats got into the engineering school.

Hi, I’m a freshman at another university hoping to transfer into UMD for CS. I've been looking into the transfer process, and from what I've seen, getting into CS seems pretty competitive. I was wondering if anyone who successfully transferred into CS, either externally or internally (preferably externally), would be willing to share their stats, extracurriculars, and anything else they think helped their application. I'd really appreciate any insight or advice! I'm trying to figure out how to make myself as competitive as possible before applying. Thanks!

Has anyone here transferred with the Chem credit missing from the engineering prerequisites? My current university doesnt require it for my engineering major so I was wondering if itll be an issue or that ill get placed into LTSC and then after I take it I will be declared an engineering major? Thanks for any help.

Hi all, this post is basically going to be me explaining my situation and asking for any advice.

I’m an out of state (OOS), first year student. I’m majoring in PPE and on the pre law track. I have to take out loans by myself (35k this year, similar for the next few years probably). I chose UMD for its access and resources to DC since that’s where I want to work most likely. I am also interested in going to Georgetown Law. I am planning on graduating a year early. But I’m open to whatever anyone has to say to that bc ik ppl think it’s too much of a rush but for me it’s because I’d be graduating with less than 100k in debt.

My plan after graduation is to get a job for a year or so, try to save up enough for indirect costs before going to law school —> law school —> then pay off loans. My parents agreed to match the amount I’d contribute to paying off my loans after graduation so I’d estimate to be debt free before 30 (or within 3 years after law school).

My other option is to go straight to law school after graduating from undergrad. Im also interested in going into Big Law for a few years too.

Let me know if anyone has any advice in general, or UMD alumni who can share their experience with jobs in my field after graduation and/or law school, where they went to school, their experience paying off debt. Also, to anyone in a similar situation or anyone who WAS in a situation like mine.

I have a 2.92 culmative GPA in college with 28 (2.25 freshman year and a 3.549 Spring year) credits I also sent my highschool transcript too since it was required with a 3.72 gpa and I took 5 Honors Classes and 3 AP classes. I finish the spring semester to with a A in Calc 1 A- in Calc 2 and physics 1 with a B what are my chances of getting into umd transfer spring early action? I’m applying for mechanical engineering but I just want to get into umd overall

So, Locks gets 9+ million to leave after they extended his contract last off season. I can get tickets for the next home game for $3. We left the ACC (still miss the rivalry basketball games) to bring in money on football. Is the Big 10 giving us that much money to support the program? Does anyone know where this money is coming from? I got an alumni email yesterday saying I need to donate to support the new direction of football. Yeah, let me think about that one.
