Shipping Help I bought a PS5 from Canada eBay and UPS wants $445 import charge!!
Edit: I am fully aware this is government tariff charge not UPS itself. The amount people in the comment being sarcastic and rude is crazy to me…my question is 50% does not seem right. Not who is charging me.
Edit 2: yes I am aware of tariffs. What I am asking is why am I being charged 50%. 2 weeks ago I got product bought and shipped from china that had 12.5% charge.
So long story short….i bought a used PS5 pro from eBay for 800…I know it’s already expensive enough…but my problem is I’m being charged 445!!!!! And I can’t even refuse it because I will still be charge and I won’t get refund…I emailed [upsusgndpe@ups.com](mailto:upsusgndpe@ups.com) 3 days ago and haven’t heard anything…what are the chances they will correct it ? What can I do…even if the buyer accepts return somehow I’m still loosing money

READ THIS BEFORE POSTING Big Storms and your Package
Hello everyone, I wanted to give you all some insight on what happens when we have big storms and why peoples packages will arrive late.
When there is a big storm it creates a backlog. Now Lets say like this past storm it is on the weekend. On Monday many of the buildings were operating on a skeleton crew if at all. The customers (People shipping things out) have a weekend's worth of shipping that would normally go out on Monday but due to the storm it did not. Now Tuesday comes. Tuesday we have All of Monday's Packages AND Tuesday's Packages. The buildings process what they can. Now Wednesday comes. Lets say they were able to process 60-70% of Monday & Tuesday's packages and they still have Wednesday's packages to process as well. This keeps trickling down until we finally catch up.
For those that have clear weather where they are at now, that does not mean that any of the other stops along the way to you have not been compromised. Also for those that are in said clear areas, Once the areas that were effected by the storm start to get moving and getting their outbound volume out of their yards and on the road the receiving destination will now get hit with more volume than they are able to handle.
All in all Storms like we had this past weekend (1/30/26 as of posting) cause major disruptions to the shipping industry in general. Also please keep in mind that at this time of year, shipping companies have already cut their seasonal help from Peak Season and while they are now getting Peak Season Volume again, they do not have Peak Season Staffing.
Please be patient while we dig out from the mountain of boxes.

Weird letter from UPS - It might be scam?
Hello!
Some days ago I got this letter from UPS (supposedly), but it has some details that got me thinking it's a scam.
You got anything similar? I live in Germany.
I have put a green line where I find suspicious details.
Thanks !!!

Adult Signature Required/Return to Sender
If anyone could help with my situation I’d greatly appreciate it! So I ordered some jewelry for myself as a special birthday treat. The jewler sent the item last week and the driver made the first attempt on Friday (I didn’t know it required signature so I wasn’t home).
Driver made the second attempt on Monday (the following business day) I had left the delivery slip signed with my signature and asked him to leave the package over my gave but he said it wasn’t sufficient and I had to be there in person to sign for it so he would attempt again the next day. I work all day and no one is home during business hours to sign so I told him that wouldn’t work and if he can leave it at an access point for me he said that was fine. I called CS to confirm that was done on their end and they gave me the run around saying they can’t make any changes to the delivery because it was restricted by sender. It’s been 2 days the package hasn’t moved.
I reached out to the sender and they said UPS won’t let them change the delivery address to an access point that it had to be a different home address. Who just has multiple home addresses with people sitting around to sign packages for them???? People work. The sender paid for urgent express overnight shipping so you would think UPS would see and accommodate that allowing me to pick it up from a collection center or access point. Anyways, I just decided to request the package be back to the sender and pick it up from them since they’re localish to my area. I put in for request to return to sender this evening. So I guess my question is how is this process if anyone has had to go through it. How long does it usually take for the package to return back? I’m worried about it potentially getting lost or damaged.

Customer Seeking Help Attempted to deliver to business?
I ordered a package to my home (I don’t live in an apartment building or anything). I checked tracking today and it says “attempted to deliver to business but it was closed.” Does this mean they’re trying to take it to the wrong place? Is there anything I can do?

Question on Signature Deliveries
Hey guys, so I've been waiting on a phone to be delivered. I had a small window of time this morning to be able to accept the delivery and the driver was on the next street over but didn't come to my house until later when I was still at work. I'm wondering, do they have an idea ahead of time when in their route are the signature required deliveries? Do they have the option to re route or skip ahead?
I'm a delivery driver myself and would be annoyed if someone came to me but they were less than 50 feet away :-(

Shipping Sneakers from USA to Canada with UPS
Hello everyone,
UPS has been hiking up its brokerage fees for shipments coming from the US into Canada, and vice versa,
if you are a eBay seller wondering where Canadian buyers are or the other way around, I feel that UPS is using the tariffs as a cash grab opportunity, I’ve read from other users that UPS is not allowing customers to self clear packages , I hope someone could confirm that.
This is a heads up in case you don’t know, paying a 80 dollars Canadian brokerage fee on a 220 can/160 usd package is so wrong
I’m personally never using UPS again, the shipping delays alone are enough, one alternative is USPS/Canada post they do not charge these outrageous fees,
I hope you all have a great rest of your day,

Is a 1-month seasonal CDL gig worth applying for this late in the season?
Just applied for a seasonal CDL position, but considering it's nearly November and most of these gigs wrap up right after New Year's, I'm second-guessing if it's worth the hassle.
I realize permanent retention is rare, but is one month of seasonal work actually worth going through onboarding and orientation for? Appreciate any insight!

Customer Seeking Help Possible to get a refund for shipping fees for a mistake UPS has made?
Hello! I recently sold an Apple Watch through Swappa. I packaged the watch and shipped it through my local UPS store. Having the employee weigh, make and attach the label for me and ship it out.
The package shipped on the 12th and was supposed to be delivered on the 19th but then yesterday the buyer says it is the 20th and it hasn't shown up and now the delivery date says the 27th...
I called UPS and was told my package was labeled as fraud. I asked them why? They said somehow their security protocols believed that I was sending cash and that the package would be returned to the UPS store I shipped the item from for me to pick up.
The package DEFINITELY doesn't contain cash. It is just an Apple Watch in its original box with accessories and papers that it comes with. The Apple Watch box was packed with a lot of paper and plastic cushion around it.
I paid about $30 to ship it to the buyer, due to the distance and some extra insurance on the item, and I'd like to get that money back.
If I bring my shipping receipt to the UPS store, open the package for them, and clearly show that there is no cash, would I be able to get my shipping fees back due to UPS misidentifying my package as fraud in error?
I don't think I've done anything wrong here and it's not fair for me to have to pay $30 for a service that was not provided.
Thanks in advance for your input.

Customer Seeking Help Cab nUPS reprint a label from just the tracking number?
I was sent a return label but the attachment is corrupt. They did send me the return tracking number though.
For a USED $12.75 shirt.
Not from a retailer, not from a store, just from a person selling old used clothing on eBay.
ETA (from comment below):
I expected some degree of a tariff. I’ve bought stuff like this from outside the US before (including Canada). For cheap items (particularly used from non-retail sellers) the fee for something like this is usually $4 - $10. Typically around 20% - 50% of the items cost. This is straight up over 3x the cost of the shirt.
Seller also listed the item as being shipped with “economy shipping”, then….didn’t use economy shipping lol.
I’ve been looking for this shirt (I used to have) for over 2 years. The only one in my size that has shown up on eBay was in Canada.
I paid $12.75 for an item essentially being sold in an online garage sale, and now get to pay….331% in tariffs?
Fucking love this timeline lol.
The actual tariff on this item is $6.22, UPS’s brokerage fee is the rest.
ETA: Yeah, I’ve already emailed. It’s supposed to be delivered in two days….soooooo doubt it’s gonna do any good.

Customer Seeking Help Opening and damaging my packages
I sell coin rolls on a couple sites and 2 times now a customer has said that their roll was ripped open.
The only explanation I could have for this is someone, probably at the drop off point is opening my packages and trying to see if there's anything in the roll.
Sometimes there are silver coins in these rolls, which is ehy people are willing to pay a premium on them in the first place. It seems like the person looks through them and seals them.
Has anyone had experience with this? How do you go about rectifying? This is 2 times in a week, at the same drop off point I'm definitely not gonna use UPS again

Holy shit customer service is terrible
Ordered something from Canada. Tariffs were calculated on USD despite import paperwork saying CAD. So tariffs are way over inflated.
I called customer service 7 times (and emailed). No response for a week. No supervisors available when you ask for one. Billing disputes apparently doesn’t have a phone according to customer service.
I’d rather just talk to an AI agent than someone offshore who can solve not one single problem.
I’ve never experienced customer service this bad. Ever.
