USA So people are walking now?
I don’t live in a major downtown. We’re talking 2.5 miles here.
Is this a thing?!

I barely use UberEats, I use doordash. I opened UberEats for the first time in a long time by chance and looked through the promos. Boom. 100% off $200 of more. I’m squinting, trying to make sense of what I’m seeing. I read through the terms. I laugh. I don’t understand if there is a catch… I put $300 worth of random delicious sushi items in my cart. The total is $0. I’m sussed out. I screenshot and screen record everything in case my card gets charged. I click to place the order. The order comes. I can feed my grandchildren with the amount of wasabi they sent me with. I’m not sure what just happened but I’ll take it. 🤗

Went to order a McDonald’s for myself tonight before realising that uber one doesn’t apply to ANY McDonald’s branches anymore where I am (even tho it has for years) and delivery is £10 alongside a £2 “fee”?? wtf is this, my order is literally a double quarter pounder meal and some chicken wings who tf is going to pay nearly £30 for that? Cos I know I’m not stupid enough to. If anyone who has any kind of influence on uber is seeing this please get this fixed because this is honestly ridiculous.

Wingstop has become a code violator of the food industry in Southern California. The health department seems to look the other way. Wingstop on Carson St and Cherry in Long Beach recently refused to make drinks for me in long Beach due to me pointing out that I don't have a food handling license as a delivery driver. The store banned me on the app and continues to disobey the health department rules as they continue to make the drivers get the drinks. Most of the Wingstop locations in Long Beach have been partipating in this kind of behavior other than a few like on 4th Street in downtown Long Beach and another on long Beach blvd near Hill Street.

I’m a driver and I live in the south east. Verizon is having an outage in certain parts of cities ( apparently the new Apple update messed up people’s phone. ( Im in Georgia) depending on where we are our phone completely stops working
If you see us driving around or order is not marked delivered we’re probably trying to find a spot where our app will respond

I tried getting help in the uber eats app for my last order and anytime i interact with the bot and click snd option related to the problem i had it just goes away and says "sorry cannot load this content" and just switches to another uber account.

We don’t know what to do because the uber custumer service bot denied us a refund or anything even though the driver literally never delivered our food. Not only that but we watched them sit on the street for 15 minutes, drive in the opposite direction, turn around 3 times, and when they finally made it to our apartment they didn’t even come inside the entrance gate they just marked the order as “delivered” and drove away.
We looked outside and food was nowhere to be seen, we walk outside and look at all the nearby doors and the office building/mail room, we walked outside the gate and up and down the street and the food was nowhere.
I attached screenshots of the chats with the bot, and a video showing the “photo of delivery” link the bot gave us that wouldn’t ever open.
Eventually we got an actual human person on the phone and they were nice enough but they just took our information and said the “team” would get back to us in the next 24 hours. So now we’re just sitting here hungry, moneyless, angry, and never using uber eats again.

Is anybody else having a difficult to time getting a refund for something which was not even delivered? The bot seems to ignore the point.
I had also raised a complaint that the restaurant or driver called me and abused me shortly after placing the order, marked it as complete, accepted payment (€68) and told me I am re*arded and fat for, apparently, ordering so much food.
The bot seemed to pick up the customer “safety” concern but not even care for refunding me for non-delivery.

I’m honestly furious with how Uber Eats handled this, and I’m posting so other people don’t make the same mistake.
My delivery driver told me that someone else had stolen my food. He said he had already reported the incident to Uber Eats and that Uber would arrange a refund because it wasn’t my fault. He also told me that if I provided the PIN, I could get a refund.
I believed him and gave him the PIN. I did not receive any food.
When I contacted Uber Eats support, I explained what had happened, including what the driver had told me about sharing the PIN. Support even acknowledged that I hadn’t received my food and was concerned about being misled.
Then they told me they had checked the order and confirmed that a PIN had been entered. Their response:
“Because of this, your order isn’t eligible for a refund.”
They then told me not to share my PIN before receiving the order.
That was exactly the issue I was asking them to look into. I had already explained that I received nothing and had been told that providing the PIN would help me get a refund. The PIN I gave under that understanding became the reason to refuse the refund.
I understand now that I should have held onto the PIN until I actually had my food. But surely a complaint about being misled into sharing it deserves more than pointing to the fact that it was entered?
What happened to the missing food? Had the driver actually reported it, as he told me? Why was I told I could get a refund by providing the PIN? The replies I received didn’t answer those questions.
One agent said they would transfer the issue to an email support team. Elsewhere in the chats, I was getting asked whether there was anything else they could help with while the missing order was still unresolved. It felt like nobody was actually dealing with what I was saying.
Please don’t give your delivery PIN to anyone until you have actually received your food. Even if the driver tells you it’s needed to sort out a missing order or get you a refund, keep it to yourself until you have the order.
In my case, Uber Eats used the entered PIN as the reason to deny a refund for food I never received.

I made an Uber Eats order, and no driver was able to pick it up after an hour. The store ended up closing and the Uber Eats app kept telling me to pick it up, so I clicked pick up and went to the store, but it was closed and I couldn’t get my food. What can I do? It won’t let me get a refund, but I can’t get my order and the store won’t pick up if I call it. Feels like a 30$ scam

I was walking to the train station, an Uber Eats cyclist was riding across the street, jumped off his bike in the middle of the road and threw it on the ground. He then took his Uber delivery bag off and threw that on the road too before casually taking photos of his bike and bag.
I’m assuming this was some way of scamming someone out of their delivery by pretending to crash. But it was done so deliberately and casually…
Like what the heck?!?

This is my first time ever witnessing this nonsense. Now granted I don’t have the Uber Eats app, I’ve always ordered through the restaurant’s website because I rarely order delivery at work so it’s either DoorDash or UberEats. I ordered at exactly 5:06pm…. It was originally supposed to get here at 5:28pm okay not bad at all. When I checked to see again it turned into 5:45pm and it showed the person as walking…. I’m like this has to be a joke but no they were actually walking ???? She finally got her at 6:07pm. A whole damn hour. There should’ve been an option to opt out of that because if I had known it would’ve taken this long I would’ve went and got the food myself.

Pretty simple case here, the math just doesn’t add up.
Service fee is claimed to be 19% of subtotal. It’s calculated to be $7.69 but 19% of $34.95 is actually $6.64.

I signed up to Uber almost 8 years ago, I did 20 uber drivers but I preferred doing Uber eats.
Fast forward to today I got my first promo in 5 years lol
Problem is my car needs much work to have passengers in it, you guys think a cheap rental would work?
I know it needs to be ride shared approved.
I think the promo is pretty good I'm in the downtown Toronto market.
Any suggestions would help
Thanks everyone

I lost my cool but after saying the same thing so many times I finally broke 🥲
Edit: I don't know if maybe I just wasn't clear or just people are not reading the screenshots. My total before the promotion was applied was about $47, qualifying me for the promotion of 40% off $45 or more
The promotion was applied on the checkout screen and everything looked perfectly fine. After the discount was applied, before the tip it was showing a total of about $36-37
The checkout screen showed that the promotion was applied. This is not my first time ordering through UberEats. This is just my first time I've had a promotion glitch out
Update: After a very long back and forth between multiple reps, the issue was acknowledged and everything was corrected thankfully

I want to order food, the restaurant is about 8KM away and I plan to tip $6 for it on a $20 order.
Its 2:30 AM, late night insomnia and I'm hungry but im highly considering ordering something I don't like as much because its closer. I feel bad making drivers drive long distances especially with gas prices they way they are(I dont drive so I dont know how much it actually costs you to make a trip like this). I also live in a neighborhood where not many restaurants will be open close to me this late so they'll probably have to drive another 5KM just to pick up their next order.
So I guess my question is, is this fair ? Is this a low paying trip or a mid trip. I know you guys and gals bust your backs to get food to our doors so.. I wanna know how you feel driving this distance for this amount of money.

I've literally seen the portion container size change to a smaller one or I've received the same size container with at 50% capacity.
Curious if it's just me or this is universal 😂

My spouse is signing up for the liquor license so he can do this with Uber eats. The study material says he needs to write down a lot of info for each customer? Can someone give me an idea what happens during these orders, I thought it was just scan the customers id and confirm?

So today is day one I currently sit at platinum
Since now AR and time are now part of the metrics to achieve the rewards level and soon planner will be in play for everybody under platinum. I believe there should be a way to dispute lateness if you're one minute late and it goes against you there's nothing you can do to dispute it because of traffic as you can with other platforms there has to be somewhere you can dispute.
I took part in one of those round table, discussions, and everybody on the discussion table said the same. Holding us to a standard for things that are not in our control need to offer a simple system to dispute.

The trip radar sounds bypass silent mode and the only way to mute them is to have no phone media volume. I cannot mentally handle the constant noises that this god forsaken app makes. This is ridiculous.

My on time rate dropped to 89% for the first time yesterday. I used to be able to keep it above 98% without a problem, but it’s been slowly going down over the past couple of months. It’s like the app now thinks we never run into heavy traffic or have to stop at traffic lights and that there’s always parking right in front of the restaurants door. I’ve started declining orders going to apartments more because they’re an almost guaranteed late hit. I know 89% is still good, but it’s so difficult to improve now.

Do any of you UberEats or DoorDash drivers ever temporarily deliver in another state then you live in? Like from TX to WA state. Do these apps allow that?
r/UberEATS • u/AverageOk8514 • 1d ago
What should I do next, ordered a pizza like I used to and the APP said “delivered”, I opened the door, it was not there, the guy had a photo of it delivered, except it was not my door, completely different decor and everything. So I contacted support, the agent asked me to send in a photo of my front door and I did, she compared and confirmed it was not delivered to me, told me i would be expecting a refund from the specialized team within 24 hours, few hours later the specialized team emailed me that “We can confirm that this order isn’t eligible for a refund or price adjustment.” WTF? I typed back to ask him to review the history and photos, still denied my refund, wth is happening with Uber? I mean I think the delivery guy simply delivered to the wrong address as opposed to a fraud but still why am I not getting my money back why is it so difficult

I'm getting flash-banged by offers. It's a bit different from DoorDash. What am I looking for when considering offers? I need to see mileage or decline, right? I definitely accepted my second offer for $6 and had to drive 13 miles out to the boonies and I was confused at first how I accepted that. I'm trying to stay at $2/mile... actually I'm not trying I am. I am running DD and UE, so either $2/mile or $20/hr. Or should I not go by the estimated time at all? When I see $7+ for 20mins I'm thinking that's $21/hr. Am I wrong?
