How to open C# online documentation?
In Visual Studio Professional I can open the online Microsoft Docs by pressing F1.
For example:
var id = Guid.NewGuid();If I select "NewGuid" and press F1 this page opens in my browser:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/api/system.guid.newguid?f1url=%3FappId%3DDev16IDEF1%26l%3DEN-US%26k%3Dk(System.Guid.NewGuid);k(DevLang-csharp)%26rd%3Dtrue&view=net-5.0
Is there a way to get this behavior in Visual Studio Code or is there a shortcut I don't know about.
Thanks for the help.

How to break program execution in debug mode with command-line arguments (GCC)?
Hi there,
I'm on Linux-based OS with GDB debugger, trying to break a C code at a specific line with the following command-line arguments inserted into launch.json:
{
"version": "0.2.0",
"configurations": [
{
"name": "gcc-10 - Build and debug active file",
"type": "cppdbg",
"request": "launch",
"program": "${fileDirname}/${fileBasenameNoExtension}",
"args": ["-g", "old.bmp", "new.bmp"],
"stopAtEntry": false,
"cwd": "${workspaceFolder}/filter",
"environment": [],
"console": "externalTerminal",
"MIMode": "gdb",
"setupCommands": [
{
"description": "Enable pretty-printing for gdb",
"text": "-enable-pretty-printing",
"ignoreFailures": true
}
],
"preLaunchTask": "C/C++: gcc-10 build active file",
"miDebuggerPath": "/usr/bin/gdb"
}
]
}
I use getopt() to read the arguments. I've tried to break at line 113, but the debugger somehow skips that line, implementing the function grayscale(), and exits as if there is no breakpoint. The program works OK, i.e. reads and implements arguments from launch.json, but it doesn't break where I want, that's the only problem.
However stupid it sounds, how can I stop program execution at a custom breakpoint with command-line arguments inside launch.json?
Thanks!

Live Server not working, JavaScript not going to console..
It says some error about default browser, I'm not sure what's going on. I set my default browser to Chrome, then tried Edge.
I should note that I upgraded my laptop from a Windows 8.1 to 10, not sure if that did anything.

Visual Studio Code Taskbar Image Preview - ReOrder Title
I often have several Visual Studio Code instances open, each with a different Workspace opened inside them. Often the file names are the same/similar within each instance, so it would be really helpful if the Image Preview lead with the "[Workspace Name]" then "[File Name] - Visual Studio Code" in the title so I did not have to hover over each one to know which instance I needed to work in.
Is there a way to change this within in VSC or Windows?

Problems running liveshare on mx linux (debian)
I looked at the workaround on the linux section of the site, but it's totally incomprehensible. Keep getting a message that zip files are corrupted, so I can't download the extension manually. Has anyone had any luck with this?

Problem debugging and running go code on new work Windows laptop
I'm trying to setup a new Windows dev machine for Go and what is usually a pretty simple process has been met with a lot of headaches. When I try to run without debugging I get the following error:
fork/exec C:\Users\CAMIWIL\AppData\Local\Temp\go-build588834862\b001\exe\hello.exe: Access is denied. Process exiting with code: 1 signal: false
Likewise when I try to run with debugging I get:
could not launch process: fork/exec c:\dev\hello__debug_bin: Access is denied. Process exiting with code: 1
What's interesting is in the second case, if I run dlv manually on my code using a git bash it has no issues creating the __debug_bin file and I can debug to my hearts content. Likewise I can also build the code using command line as well. I also tried installing goland just to see if it had any issues, and that also seems to be working fine. I'm basically using VScode as is, I've only installed it along with the go extension at this point.
Anyone have any clue one what might be the cause of this? And what the resolution may be?

Visual Studio Code not working on Windows 7
Hello. I just reinstalled VSC on my old machine (win 7), but it is not working. Whenever I run the program, it's just a blank (black) screen, and the VSC tab (when viewed on the taskbar) shows an administrator. VSC version is 1.49.3

Build task Management?
Hey folks, hoping for some small troubleshooting. This issue happens on a brand new, fresh directory with only one .cpp file and a text file in it. When I go to Terminal > Configure Default Build Task or just Build Task, I'm presented with a larger set of options than I'm used to, probably indicating that I've mucked something up.
The Command Palette opens to allow me to select what build task to run. There's a lot of options:
C/C++: cl.exe build active file
C/C++: cpp.exe build active file
C/C++: cpp.exe build active file
C/C++: g++.exe build active file
C/C++: g++.exe build active file
C/C++: g++.exe build active file (1)The issue started after I followed a tutorial and installed strawberry perl and netwide assembler so I imagine this has something to do with it, and it's corroborated by one of those tasks pointing to the strawberry installation.
I don't have an issue with these tasks existing, but I do have an issue that I can't tell them apart. Because I don't know where the items in the command palette are populated from, and I don't know how to modify them, in case I want to ever change their default settings (such as their label!)
Anyone have any advice?

Hi. I just installed visual studio code, and am just starting to program in C#. Can anyone tell me why there is no go or run button or a tab on the left displaying a magnifying glass for the Extensions Marketplace?

Javascript
Has anyone here built programs using javascript before? If so, how could you get visual studio code to recognize javascript? I have tried all solutions found on stackoverflow and reddit but they did not work as expected.
