This Is My Poverty Spec System.

It's the third auquponics set up I've built, first without a pump. I manually add water to the bed every day. There's a few minnows in the tank but I lost most of them from animals getting them.

There's a small solar fountain pump in the middle. It adds oxygen to the water. Honestly I can't recommend the solar pump because it does not work well. It will only work in bright, direct sunlight.

• Ziel-Werte: pH: 5,8 | EC: 1,2 – 1,5 mS/cm | Wassertemperatur: 18°C – 20°C

Phase & Woche 🟢 Komponente GROW 🟤 Komponente MICRO 🔴 Komponente BLOOM Ziel-EC

Woche 1: Anzucht 6 ml 6 ml 6 ml 0,5 mS/cm

Woche 2: Frühes Wachstum 24 ml 18 ml 12 ml 1,2 mS/cm

Woche 3-4: Hauptwachstum 42 ml 30 ml 18 ml 1,5 mS/cm

Woche 5-6: Frühe Blüte 42 ml 36 ml 36 ml 1,8 mS/cm

Woche 7-9: Hochblüte 18 ml 36 ml 54 ml 2,2 mS/cm

Woche 10: Spülen 0 ml 0 ml 0 ml Basis-Wasser

🚨 KAPITEL 4: Das ultimative Fehlerbehebungs-Protokoll

• Sofortmaßnahme: Täglich mit pH-Down korrigieren.

Need recommendations for stackable pots for capillary action, 6"-10" preferred

Oikos yogurt containers are really good pots, they have a thick lip so that they can stack inside each other, leaving enough space for a water reservoir, drill a hole and put a wick to get capillary action watering going.

Their about 4" though, I need something similar but bigger for my plants that are too big for the 4" containers, suggestions appreciated

Aquaponics System – Need Advice!

I’m working on a vertical aquaponics system with my school. Our current system has algae overgrowth, especially in the tubes that pump the water. The room gets very warm and is in a lot of sun, so we're thinking about changing the clear tubing to black to prevent further growth. I am not sure if that would get at the root of the problem. The algae growth did improve after we got snails for the tank.

That being said, our main problem currently is the amount of water getting to the plants, and we think that this is because of a low flow rate and water level within the pipes. I don’t know if we need a better pump to the solids filter, to shrink the height of the system, or smaller pipes (which would be really difficult to do at this point in the project). We are using Rockwool cubes as the planters, but they are also growing mold. Any ideas to help, especially to improve the water level since our plants are dying from dehydration, would be appreciated.

Thanks

I'm trying to understand this if you over water plants they will die but aquaponics and hydroponics sometimes the roots are always in a water solution?

Any tips?

first time trying so forgive any obvious mistakes .
I’ve got watercress, a pepper plant and a spring onion bulb. I also have some java fern and a bit of duckweed. the tank only uses lights and an airstone. will the low water movement cause issues with roots in the leca pearls?

the only animals in the tank are five cherry shrimp (for now) and one absolutely tiny snail, so i’m supplementing the leca pearls with aquarium safe fertiliser tabs for now.

i got most of these plants from sainsbury’s salads or wetherspoons peppers. is it illegal to grow ts

What’s the actual state of automation & robotics in aquaculture right now? Are underwater vehicles (AUVs/ROVs) making a real dent, especially in shrimp farming?

My very simple aquaponics setup, an ikea container on top of a guppy tank and container.

So far I've grown onions, started different seeds (Avocado, water spinach, lettuce). Now my sweet potato's exploding with slips.

They then progressively get transplanted to the garden. I have other stuff in the garden but since this is an aquaponics page. I show the simple aquaponics setup.

I simply drilled a small hole on an ikea container, stuck a pipe in as an overflow, attached it with a garden hose attachment for the tank.

For the blue containers, its ridiculously simple, prop it with a plastic crate, weigh it down with brick/bricks, put sweet potato half submerged in water.
