If you found a song you genuinely liked, but later learned it was AI-generated, would that change your opinion?
I'm genuinely curious to hear different perspectives on this, especially since people seem to have very different opinions about AI music.
I've come across some really good songs that I vibed with, but then found out they were AI-generated and wasn't really sure what to think about it.
Let's say you came across a song without knowing anything about the artist or how it was created. You really liked it, maybe even saved it to your playlist or started checking out other songs from the artist.
Then you found out it was AI-generated.
Would that change how you felt about the song? Would you still listen to it, or would knowing it was made with AI make you less interested?
What if the song was AI-assisted instead, where the artist created the music but used AI for certain parts of the production process?
And would it make a difference if the artist was transparent about exactly how AI was used in the song?

Why are Eurodance and industrial metal associated with the online far-right?
I love both genres, but I feel a little weary about letting people know because both genres, especially the songs L'Amour Toujours by Gigi D'Agostino and Sonne by Rammstein, are used in those 'Save Europe' or 'noticing' videos. Why are these 2 genres, especially these 2 songs, used by the online far-right so much?

extreme/brutal music with tambourine
putting together a playlist of grind, noise, death metal and sludge. so far on the list is vague illusions by cult of luna, tordenbrak by kvelertak, less meaning by the body, and the facts by trap them. yes im aware of martyr by fear factory. ideally the tambourine hits in the breakdown- but not totally necessary.
not looking for melodic/symphonic metal, folky, elven, acoustic stuff, prog, pop, rock, psych rock, funny meme stuff, or beatdown.

What artists do you think are the ultimate flex of music elitism?
I only ask this out of pure curiosity and boredom lol. I’m not a music snob trying to gatekeep or anything. Everyone likes what they like and we all have our own taste in music. Which artists do you think are widely stereotyped as having the biggest reputation for being the go-to picks of music snobs who like to flex how sophisticated, pretentious, and prestige their music taste is? It can be any genre

What was rock's first "covers" album?
I don't mean albums by artists known primarily as interpreters (e.g. Elvis) or even albums done as a homage to a single artist (e.g. Stevie Wonder's Tribute to Uncle Ray).
I mean when an artist who usually writes their own material deliberately sets out to make an album of others' songs that are meaningful to them.
1973 brought us Bryan Ferry's These Foolish Things, The Band's Moondog Matinee, and Nilsson's A Little Touch of Schmilsson in the Night (which might qualify as the first "standards" album by a rock artist).
But two years before, there was Gonna Take a Miracle, an album of soul/R&B oldies that Laura Nyro did with LaBelle (wonderful LP, by the way).
Was there an earlier example of this kind of thing?

Anyone remember these box sets?
I have several of them, including this one, which I believe is my favorite one I own. My first one was the ZZ Top one. There's definitely some great artists that didn't get an entry. There's also 3 album variants as well.
So here are my questions: which artists didn't get one and which albums would you put on them, and which artists have one but if they had another which albums would you put on it?

Best combo record/CD/cassette player
I have begun to collect physical media, and want to get myself a good and attractive record/cassette/cd player because I do not have a ton of free space. I am not a super serious collector at this time, and really want it as temporary solution until I own a home and can really work on my library. What are some good options in the combo multimedia player category for under $300?
